Marsh Green Fish & Chip Shop in Wigan

Arrived at 5.45 on a Monday evening and it was packed out orderd chips peas and gravy and a large fish and it didn't disappoint very tasty food fish was fresh and large chunks and batter was very tasty my only thing they didn't have any free scraps but meal was delicious thanks

Had chips with curry sauce and donner meat. I enjoy it. Friendly staff.

the guy asked us for a code he didnt hardly understand english so made the meal cold we had no choice but to throw it away

Useless driver. Couldn't follow instructions even after being told 4 times how to get into the building, and my wife opening the door for him. He ended up leaving the food at the front door

It was ok, my only complaint would be that I asked for Chinese curry sauce and received a very mild English fruity curry sauce instead. I’m being picky I suppose , but I only ordered from here because they claimed to sell hot Chinese curry sauce. Saying that… the food was 👌

Food was on time and tastes okay but I’ve had a really off stomach ever since so something about it hasn’t agreed with me.

Not had F&C for a while and Marsh Green has proved yet again it’s No.1 for a Chippie tea. Delivery was quick too. Thanks peeps you never let us down.

The food was brilliant but the salad didn’t like as not freshly iceberg lettuce etc . Was the mixed bagged salad which isn’t nice plus the jacket potato was a bit dry

food was still really hot and tasted delicious and they had no cheese pies, but rung to tell me and therefore got our 2nd choice of pie.excellent food and service

We have recently set up a four person panel to review our local chippies. Unfortunately, despite being a recommendation by a local lad, your "establishment", fell very short of our (already very low) expectations. The Warburtons 6 pack barms were insufficient for the size of chip and were very structurally unstable to hold, one of my colleagues resorted to eating it with a knife and fork. Furthermore, the chips were so dry, one of my ex-serviceman colleagues began getting flashbacks from the Gulf War. His service training would have come in handy in these parts as I felt I could have been shanked at any given moment.

A long awaited trip to marsh Green left us craving a second helping. The perfect ratio of pea to wet on a bed of soft crunchy smack left us drooling on a nearby park bench 5/5 service with a smile. The reward for the 520 mile round trip did not disappoint, and I'd crawl it again for that soft dry barm and that wet wet pey. My advice - that spicy surprise of the vinegar hit different

I had the best fish and chips from Marsh Green today. The fish melted in my mouth and the chips were perfectly cooked and I will definitely go back. I highly recommend Marsh Green to everyone.

As a delivery driver allways busy and with the traffic and many other factors is hard to come accros a place where you can get a dinner without queuing, but here always had a quick service , chatting with the friendly staff/owner offered cold water on many occasions with this heat , even not entering the shop for purchasing a meal , great guy with huge talent which brings a lot to the Community and everyone around can admit that as visible the respect shown from him to customers I'd give 6 stars but max is only 5

Staying local whilst working away, found as passing by and turned out to be great find. Friendly chatty and welcoming service. Food was great, easily one of the best chippy I've been to. Will definitely visit again next time in the area.

This chippy is horrific. For 1 fish, 2 portions of chips and mushy peas it cost £9.80. The chips looked burnt and didn't smell very pleasant, so much so I didn't eat mine. My son was starving so ate his fish, but within an hour ended up on the toilet, with what we can only imagine was food poisoning. Do yourself a favour and give this chippy a swerve!

Excellent food fresh fish as you order . The owner always knows your order too when I go in great now u can phone up and then it's ready when u walk in really good chip shop

First time here ,had the Mediterranean chicken kebab with small chips. Beautiful. Clean and well presented with a great selection of dishes. Would recommend. 👍👍👍

Hubby went in after work late , and the misery was abundantly clear, he came out just as miserable , Food wasnt great either considering they pride themselves quality. Step it up Marston Chippy this is not how to give good quality customer service, there will be no xmas tips st this rate.

Visited here for the first time for lunch. The service was fantastic - cheerful and friendly. The food was fresh and tasted great, the portions were also generous. Would recommend and would visit again!
