Expensive for what it is and slow on food

Big shout out to our lovely waitress Alicia who served us our amazing sundaes on Monday evening just gone! She made our experience very pleasant couldn’t do enough for us and had a lovely friendly manner. My little boy aged 5 picked up on this and took such a liking to her, usually he is so shy and doesn’t usually speak with anyone he doesn’t know but she really made him come out of his shell! Thank you again for such lovely service Alicia, you deserve to be recognised!

Our server Alicia was very attentive and helpful, and made sure we were completely satisfied with everything during our meal.

Everything was going well until sugar cone gate and 'George the Charmer' Amanda was our initial server, she was great, so friendly and attentive. Then Amanda finished her shift and alas everything went downhill. Ordered a dessert that came with sugar cone, no sugar cone arrived, enquired as to whereabouts of said sugar cone to be told it doesn't come with one. Showed menu to the contrary, she walked away. George showed up with THE most hostile attitude toward cone giving I've ever come across! Apparently it's an outdated menu, I pointed out that is not our error they should still bring the cone. Apparently he is now going to charge me for a cone. At this point I thought he was going to explode so I rejected the offer to pay for a cone and said let's leave it there. There were two diners at our table who also work for Mitchell's and Butler's and they could NOT believe what had just happened and the absolutely appalling way it was handled. One tried to speak to a manger off to the side to explain george came over again and was rude to her also, it ended up with at least 1 manager, one kitchen staff, 2 servers and the customer on the floor having it out so to speak, unbelievable! When paying for our bill, we were offered apologies and yes we understand that people have 'bad' days but I tell you now, that was NOT a 'bad' day that was a terrible insidious attitude that is representing Mitchels and Butler's company and I'm astounded it's allowed to carry on! Sorry I will not be back for fear of reprisal and would not in good conscious recommend. What a shame this sort of behaviour has been allowed as I doubt this was the first time he's acted this way. Maybe this was the first time he was called on it and rest assured he DID not like it.

Lovely Harvester much better than the one in Bromborough. Ellie our server was kind and attentive.

We hadn't booked and were told a 45 minute wait on food, we didn't time it, but we didn't wait anywhere near thar long. Service was excellent, we were looked after by Molly and her supervisor. Could not fault anything except there was no potato salad on the salad bar today. Thank you lovely ladies, we will be back!

We did have about 45 min wait for our food but we was initially warned this when we entered, which was ok ok with it was a busy bank Holiday Monday. Food was good. Our waiter Diego ( I think that's his name.) Was great so upbeat & happy, couldn't do enough for us. Kept us informed how long our food was going to be. Shame we live so far away. Otherwise definitely would return.

Carnt fault the food the tika flat bread was lovely and authentic, salad bar was filled with fresh well prepared food. The service was exceptional by martin who works tirelessly towards the care and service of all the customers in his area, cleaning, serving and checking we were having the best of everythink, and nothink wasnt to much to ask of him. It was very busy to but we had our mains within 30 mins and not long after we finished our drinks and salad bowls. Would recomend and we will be returning again soon.

We had a really good breakfast at this Harvester I would have given this restaurant five stars if my hash browns hadn't have been swimming in oil and felt like they had been cooked earlier on and heated back up by refrying. I will definitely visit this restaurant again for an evening meal as I believe the salad bar here would be quite nice and the location is absolutely beautiful. You can eat whilst overlooking the sea and the beach

Ellie was amazing my diabetic friend had a hypo and she hot him a coke straight away we added sugar to it and he was soon better then we all ordered our lunch. The salad bar was brilliant my son and friend had steak I had chicken bacon waffle it was delicious so nice. They couldn't finish their steak and were given boxes to take away would definately recommend you the harvester is brilliant the staff are all friendly and helpful the food top notch service couldn't be better thank you so much and a big thank you to Ellie our server 😀

I went with 3 friends to Harvester Derby Pool on Thursday night 1 May. I ordered a flatbread with chargrilled chicken. The flatbread was like leather and had obviously been sitting under a hot plate while the other dishes were being prepared. Service was dreadful. It took 3 hrs for 4 mains and 3 deserts. No one came and asked if everything was or if we would like another drink. I would have returned the meal if they had. I will not be returning and will not recommend anyone to visit.

We often stop here for a drink or food if we're in the area. If the sun is shining there's loads of seating outside with views of Liverpool bay. The food is good and a reasonable price

Even though it’s been super busy Michelle & Claire have been absolutely fantastic! The service was top notch and the food was lovely!

Great spot for a meal over business. Excellent views. The salad paired well with our financial talks as it’s a steal of a deal!! Staff are excellent, friendly, well mannered and happy to help with any questions or concerns (not that we had any concerns). Highly recommend!!

It’s a handy stop-over for us but use quite infrequently. Nice views over the bay. It can be quite dark in parts so get near a window.

Bank Holiday Monday with the family... 4 adults a small child and baby... Booked the wrong day(I'm a liability at times) , but luckily Anthony who works there, got us a table..sat us and got drinks pretty much straight away, salad bar was amazing as always.. Food was fantastic and pretty quick too, great value as always and awesome service...the ultimate mixed grill was massive, fish and chips was amazing, haddock was lovely, I had the classic chicken and ribs.. Everything was beautifully cooked... No room for puddings today 😂 Thank you again Anthony.. 👍. You were great.

Myself and my friend visited here today with her dog planning to sit in the outdoor area to have some lunch. Unfortunately the place was absolutely swarming with flies, like nothing I have ever seen. The tables were covered in them, we had to pull our jumpers over our mouths so we didn’t ingest them as we walked through, before deciding to walk away. I’ve never seen anything like it. Clearly the tables never ever get cleaned and are covered in stale alcohol and food which is attracting flies. Will never eat at a harvester again. I’ve seen a similar review left recently so it’s clearly a common problem. I went inside to use the toilet and the glass doors inside were filthy too, I can’t imagine when they were last cleaned.

Such a shame, what has happened to this place? Went to visit today after a walk along the beach with the dogs. Weather was glorious. There was no one to be seen outside which I was shocked by on such a lovely day. As we approached the entrance I understood why. There were 1000’s upon 1000’s of flies on every table and chair. It was literally an infestation. We walked further in hoping it was just the plastic tables, even the wooden tables were covered. Whilst no one can control where and what flies do, I can only imagine how dirty the furniture must have been for them to be clinging to them as they were no where else. There was no way I was going to order food or drinks there. If only I wasn’t so quick to get away from the place I’d have taken a photo. Someone needs to keep on top of the hygiene of the outside area. It was rancid.

Food is okay - the ribs are very good. It's loud when full and, in my opinion, very expensive for what you get. Like garlic bread which is just a pitta bread with garlic oil thinly spread... Stick to ribs or burgers and it's fine....

Dropped in for an evening meal, food was tasty! I love that it’s pet friendly! We had a salmon bowl (which was warm when it arrived but the salmon skin was so crispy I ate everything!), and a beef kebab. I wished I took a picture as they both looked great! We were hungry so we dived in and forgot! Both plates were completely empty, so the food is tasty! Very busy for Easter Sunday but still plenty of space! I’ll definitely be visiting again!

Diego is the reason we keep coming back, always the best service from him, we cant fault the food either, perfect ribs and fresh salads always. 😁

Its been a while since we ate here and were pleasantly pleased. The food was served on nice plates and good portions. We had a pot of tea for two in good-sized mugs. Followed by delicious treacle sponge and custard/cream. We were served by Tracey, very pleasant and helpful. We'll definitely go back another day. It was very busy, of course, being Easter 🐣 🙂

I've been here twice. First time average. Second time stood at welcome desk for 5 minutes, not one staff member who trailed past us bothered to even look at me or my two friends so we left disgusted & will never be back. Appalling 👎

We had such a lovely experience at the Harvester in New Brighton this evening for my dads retirement meal, and we just wanted to say a big thank you to Alicia for her amazing service. From the moment we arrived, she was so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. She really made us feel comfortable and well looked after throughout our visit. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile and genuine warmth – Alicia truly made our meal that much more enjoyable. Thank you again, Alicia – you were wonderful!

Well it was a lovely evening and I was sat looking out over the beach as the sun was setting. Huge bonus points for that. The staff are friendly, but they take ages to get to you & in my case come back when I’d asked for the bill. I wasn’t asked whether I’d be paying by cash or card so I had to wait another ten minutes and was told that she’d forgotten about me. I ordered cheesecake for dessert (it is clearly a set cheesecake) & for whatever reason only known to the kitchen staff they decided to heat it up. As I wasn’t looking to get a bad stomach so I left it. That’s the first time in a long time I’ve not left a monetary tip.

I found the young lad behind the bar extremely rude today ,I asked for my guinness to be topped up because it had a big head on it after it settled, he said that's how it's supposed to be !! He did top it up eventually. His attitude was disgusting, definitely shouldn't be working in the industry. So disappointing, as it's such a nice setting, wasn't made to feel welcome at all.

Great meal to celebrate sons birthday. Big thanks to server Ellie who was always smiling and attentive. Explained everything we needed to know and checked in on us regularly. Food was really tasty and well presented.

Visited here on a Thursday for a late lunch. firstly the order was taken wrong, and as a result only one of the garlic breads had cheese on, the salad bar was missing the potato salad and pasta and low on other items. We had to wait for approx 45 mins for our main course and the burger buns were rock hard and the burger itself was luke warm. I think maybe it had been held under a heat lamp for too long. Over all we found to be low quality and the service slow. Oh yeah and the barman didnt give me the change. (I was going to tell him to keep it anyway but it would have been nice to have that opportunity). I would only recommend this pub for drinks on a sunny day but I wouldnt eat here again.

Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. If I could rate this restaurant a 0 I would. Upon entry, the refill drinks machine was dispensing water - no fizzy drinks. The salad bar was completely empty, after asking staff to refill it multiple times, it eventually got restocked 30 minutes later. We had a further 45 minutes wait on our food. Not one part of this experience was remotely enjoyable. Avoid at all costs. We complained to the manager, who was less than helpful, all he said was ‘he will tell the kitchen’. Not even an apology.

Harvester is a great place to eat! Food is delicious, fab that you get unlimited salad bar included. Staff are very nice especially diego and Amanda go above and beyond to make your dining perfect! Become our favourite place to eat!

Waited absolutely ages for my food then, when it finally did arrive, it was the completely wrong order! Hope the person who got mine enjoys the burgers, the stuff I got is pretty much everything I dislike on the menu!

We asked for a table by the window and got just that. The waiter was friendly and funny and the food was amazing. Also appreciated the fact that there is no background music!! A wonderful experience which we hope to repeat soon.

Lovely place great food and staff

My daughter and I shared a lovely early mothers day lunch. Food was fresh and hot and we were early so the salad bar was fresh and untouched. Staff were really lovely and efficient. Like the old Har ester I remember so well

Had to wait 40 minutes for just a mini dessert and coffee. When the order finally arrived everything was cold and i had to spit out the coffe it was so disgusting. i got nearly poisened by the mass produced and disgusting apple pie and a custard that is more water than anything else and couldn’t finish my desert in fear of vomiting. The view to the beach was blocked by piles of dirty dishes that all of the staff ignored! Aditionally the tables very dirty and covered in salt. Never eaten this bad in england bevore!

Food was amazing, burgers were packed with flavour and the chips were some of the best I’ve had in my entire life, first time I’ve ordered from here but will absolutely be ordering again!

Alicia served us for our meal tonight - having just moved house and feeling a bit frazzled we wanted a quick and wholesome meal, which we got! Alicia was super friendly and helpful especially with our daughter. The food was piping hot and fresh, and very tasty. Will definitely be back!

Had a nice Sunday lunch today. Great selection on menu. Food was served quickly and hot. Good for pub style dining. Served by a lovely waitress Tracy who couldn't do enough for us. She was great Atmosphere was nice. Not too busy or noisy and kid friendly.

My meal had sweet potato fries which I love so that’s why I ordered the meal but there were no sweet potato fries in my order.Tried to find an explanation from the waiters and one told me to join the long line of people ordering, another said he is just a waiter and does not work in the kitchen.I gave up trying to get an explanation, but I really would have liked quick assistance from someone.Other than this, the food tasted great!

Really nice family meal celebrating my don in laws 40th birthday, the pub was quite full and we had a large group, food was really nice and staff very good.

This is got to be the worst harvester we have been to we waited well over 25 minutes before are food arrived and when it did it was not cooked to the standard we would of liked as for the prices there well over priced
