Love going to the Derby Pool. Great food at reasonable prices 👌 Superb service from Ellie! Nice and relaxed atmosphere.

We had our wedding reception here and it was amazing! Staff were super helpful and couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was perfect. Special thanks to Michelle, who looked after us all.

Food was really nice, the fish was lovely. Service speed despite being a busy Friday evening was pretty quick and service by Ellie was friendly and excellent. Recommend, but if you like quiet atmosphere then perhaps go on a weekday daytime.

Loads of litter ruined the experience. Toilets are flooded and dirty

This is so bad I waited over 2 hours and the girl said she Is gonna check how long it is going to be 3 times and she never put the order in so i asked the man how long it is going to be and he told us the order wasn't placed this is appalling

Great menu options with deals on 2/3 courses midweek. Rotisserie chicken and ribs are specialties, and of an excellent standard. Salad bar is a great idea though needs refilling more frequently as unattended kids tend to loiter like vultures! Service is welcoming, friendly, and patient.

Fabulous art deco building recommended by a friend and with stunning views of sunset at the right time of day. As a previous reviewer has said, our server was Ellie and she was lovely friendly and courteous. Food was speedy, well cooked, great value for money and for a first time Harvester customer, I’d not hesitate to bring family back here again, especially as it welcomes dogs and there’s a fabulous beach to walk them right by it.

Impromptu breakfast date....have never been before. What a gem of a place....great service made very welcome....didn't catch the servers name but what a lovely guy! Had the ultimate breakfast x 2....great value for money coffee on tap and great views. Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thanks derby pool for a lovely morning ❤️

Food was good and although very busy there was no delay in getting served. We both ordered off the lunch menu which was £13.99 for 2 courses. My wife asked if we could exchange a desert for a hot drink and was told yes. At the end of the meal my wife decided not to have a drink after all but then when the bill came one of the meals had been charged at the full menu rate. When queried the Karina the waitress explained that because my wife had only one course the discount couldnt be applied. Karina offered us a desert to take home which strangely meant the bill would be cheaper. In the end I had another coffee and that also reduced the bill. So 1 point off for a crazy offer system but full marks for food, service and the manner in which Karina sorted the anomaly.

Waited over one hour for dessert, with my two elderly disabled parents. In the end cancelled it. Still charged for it on the set menu? I will never use this place again. Very stressful and inconsiderate.

Excellent service from Martin. Very clean restaurant with lovely views over the sea. Will definitely return soon. Highly recommended

Not the first time here. We were shown to a table straight away. Once seated the waiter, Martin took our drink order, gave us time to look at menu then took our order. Would like to say how friendly and also professional he was. My husband had the pork belly and really enjoyed it.

My favourite place, dinner with a fabulous view, weather permitting.

Matt, was our server and he was friendly and approachable and welcomed our party of 5. Our meals were delicious with wide choice on the menu. It was my birthday and Matt and the staff made it a special occasion

Went there today . Ordered a kids meal for my 3 year old and two adult meals . Took over 40 minutes for a meal, then they brought out our meals but not my 3 year olds. We overheard someone say we were sat in the dog section, but was a horrible space with no windows. People serving were not overly polite, one showing us a sign that said 40 minutes wait time for food- even though when we arrived it wasn’t filled in. Food itself was cold and had sat around for long time, server told us they burnt the kids pizza ! Genius - never going there again.manager did give us a discount but one meal was so bad it was inedible.

Fabulous food, great attmosphere and supper friendly staff

Brilliant service and family friendly beach restaurant at a good price. We found the Manager and staff super welcoming and even though it was busy it didnt effect the speed in which we recieved our food or the quality of our food. There was all you could eat salad with our meal which was fresh and delicious and we received child activity packs to keep our daughters occupied in between dishes. The children's menu and lunch specials were delicious with good portions and my picky daughter ate all her meal and had seconds of the salad which is a testament to the quality and flavour. We will definitely be returning on our future beach days as it's literally seconds from the beach. We also saw you can get fresh coffee which smelt amazing and will need to try it next time.

Great place to visit for lunch or dinner, with fantastic views out across Leasowe Bay and the Irish Sea .

George was out server for the day and he had a lovely attitude greeted us and treated us well. The food was exceptional very tasty

Sunny day, by the beach expected it to be busy no issue there.... Ordered a meal together, my partners meal came in 30 mins not bad considering it was busy. No issues with my partners food at all.... My meal came 50 minutes later. Asked the staff a couple times, who said they would find out nothing came, so went in and found the staff we talked to, said they forgot to ask🤦🏻‍♂️ Ordered on the app as one order but Apparently the order some how went through separately. Waited 1hr 20mins fur a chicken skewer which when came tasted like it had been sat round for that long.

Our waitress Alicia was so welcoming and polite. She made sure everything was perfect for us by double checking our order and coming over to check if the food was to a good standard. More over she double checked the bill was correct too. She even put up with mine and my friends giggles while ordering dessert so extra points to her!

Amazing atmosphere. Definitely value for money. Enjoyed the meal and everything. It was actually my nephew’s birthday. Great service from our lovely waitress, very friendly Alicia.

Had a lovely meal made special by our server Alicia. It was my son's 18th birthday, he was hungover and ready to have a meal to soak up the alcohol. Alicia made this meal so much more special by talking to him about his birthday and having the staff sing happy birthday to him and giving him a slice of cake with candles! Thank you Alicia for making over visit to Derby pool special! After the meal he said this is the best service he has ever experienced. THANK YOU!

A regular here always get great service and food . Like the harvester and this is a great example . It gets very busy but there is no compromise in standards from the team , highly recommended… Quality service always from Diego and all the staff ..

This place is nice for families. Right next to the beach. Salad bar wasn't looked after though unfortunately an many dishes needed to be refilled so missed out on them with thw meal. The main meal was lovely an good value. Staff nice

Food like you got it out of the freezer, service was okay but nothing special, had long wait for food The best bit is he free salad The dressings for salad have no labels So you have to ask The quality of food and service is poor compared to the harvester on Gemini retail park

Food very good when it eventually arrived after 50 minutes. Staff friendly but food wait was excessive. Thankfully a lovely view to enjoy from the terrace.

So we have revisited today for some light snacks And a few cocktails The was a clear shift in the service about half way through our afternoon hence the star rating Food not particularly hot but warm And no drinks were the same Disappointing Happy for management team to contact me to Explain why !!!!!

Another excellent monthly lunch at the Derby Pool. It's a very short walk from the car park to the restaurant, helpful for disabled customers. As always the staff were excellent (2 disabled in my party of 4). Special mention of our server Alicia, who went out of her way to ensure we had everything we wanted.

Where in tonight. Rachel our lovely server was so sweet. Kept us straight on how things worked. Food was really fab. We both had BBQ Chicken Stack was really tasty. Salad bar amazing. Thank you for a very pleasant dinner. We will definitely be back 😍

Stopped off for a bit of lunch with my mates dad,we would definitely come back here again, great food and fantastic views over Liverpool bay.

Waited two and a half hours for food, there was seven in our party. Asked various members of staff who were very apologetic. Manager on duty was very rude to one member, saying we are very busy darling. When asked why we didn’t have our food two and a half hours later said we are busy, no apology. Told us what another member of staff had told us was rubbish. Ask for his name be cause of his apauling attitude, he said I don’t have to give you my name. I would certainly not want him as the manager of one of my branches. We left the restaurant at 8.30 with family visiting from Reading. He did not once apologise, was very bad mannered. We will never visit again and will advise everyone we know not to visit.

I come here on a Sunday for brunch. Love it. Nice food nice people who serve you.

Party of 11 for a 21st birthday,place was very busy,...all staff where run off their feet trying to serve and keep everybody happy whilst being understaffed so there was a wait for food (which was advertised). All staff couldn't do enough for our table,so would like to say thankyou for all your hard work...special mention to John who was due to finish his shift but carried on till we finished.

We used the QR code at the table to order our meal and drinks as encouraged to. After 20 minutes I went into the bar and asked after our drinks and was told they were on their way. 40 minutes after placing our order the meals arrived, but still no drinks. Again we were assured they were on their way. When 20 minutes later I went to the bar again and was told that the order hadn't gone through to the till, so they didn't know what to serve! I handed over my phone with the order details and they finally found our drinks. I was told I should have ordered at the bar as the App was rubbish. Not very impressive.

We hadn't booked our meal as we had originally booked somewhere else. When we arrived at our previously booked place we were turned away for having a baby and told we would only be allowed to sit outside in the cold if we wanted to to eat with our 8 month old. We decided to try the derby pool and we were welcomed in and seated straight away! The staff were great! Friendly and welcoming and the food was 10/10! Highly recommend and will defiantly be back.

Went for a lovely walk with my dogs this morning. Then went into the Harvester for a coffee, myself and partner decided to have a breakfast. Well I must say the breakfast was amazing , we enjoyed every bit of it. Well worth the price too. Will definitely be back for a top class breakfast , Thankyou

Visited Harvester today. We hadn't booked but was able to seated immediately. Drinks order was taken immediately and food order was taken when we were ready. We were given bowls to help ourselves to the salad bar and food arrived after about 20 minutes. Diego served us and was really helpful and friendly. Food was great, as always. We didn't have any issues but I'm sure if any did arrive Diego would have sorted them for us no problems. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

I visited this establishment today albeit for a funeral.nice friendly staff lovely dining area clean tidy and well kept.loved the open kitchen area.sausage and bacon barm i had was tasty.brioche bun.look forward to visit again soon to try your menu

Not good I got chicken instead of a burger ! The” chicken on a bun” had 5 big chunks of tomatoes on it and the salad had a hole ! Tomato that hasent been cut and a half of a cucumber and half a green pepper not cut up?!?!

We enjoyed dinner here on 1/7/24 and was served by Alicia, who was very polite and attentive. She was very helpful, helping me choose gluten free food, which was delicious. The other staff on duty were also very polite and helpful.. We will visit again, thank you

Very long wait for food, drinks, salad bowls, cutlery. The 40% off offer meant staff struggled to meet demand and were subject to rudeness from customers. Staff are a credit to you, apologetic for delays even though stressed. Salad bar not replenished properly as staff too busy

I've been here previously and the service wasn't too good, but thought I'd give it another try. As usual the free salad starter was great. Had the beef burger for main and treacle sponge for dessert. They were quite fast getting the main meal out and the dessert was ready as soon as we ate the main. They've done very well overall, as the service is now fast and efficient and we were well looked after by the staff.

We went to the Derby Pool on a quiet Monday evening, our server Alicia was a very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had an enjoyable evening, the food was one of the best meals I've personally had at this Harvester. So often the Southern fried chicken is over cooked, not tonight! Very pleased

Good food at a good price. Free unlimited salad bar. Just refurbished with a more open and friendly layout. 17/1/2022 Getting back to normal but the server still has to fill your salad bowl. Great range on the menu and very helpful staff. Been back to Harvester a number of times recently and the food and service have been excellent, especially Diego who is always very attentive.

Served by Pipa today, she was fantastic, her attitude and approach was brilliant and I hope she reads this and knows with that attitude she’s destine for great things. Ribs weren’t great (the food not Pipas) but it’s hard to complain when she makes you feel so welcome

Took my son and grandson as a treat told them order what u like they got mega mixed grill they had to ask for doggie bags as they couldn't finish it they said it was amazing I had a whole rib of ribs gorgeous excellent service great views carnt recommended it enough

I attended a 10 year olds birthday party, a room full of excited children is never an easy task, however "Leanne" the party host was so calm and welcoming, the service was excellent and the food was lovely. I would most definitely return.

Sat down outside. Noticed all the rubbish on the floor outside and tables filled with dirty dishes. Got up and went somewhere else. Terrible.

Excellent, polite service. Easy free parking. Warm, comfortable, unhurried, welcoming. We only wanted coffee (we did not want alcohol or full meals), and should have liked some more snack food items. That is no way a complaint though! But had such a service been available we add should gladly have rated the venue at 5 stars.

While the food was passable as pub food goes the service at this place was awful. Took 10 minutes to be seated then after paying and ordering at the bar the food took well over an hour to arrive. Needless to say we will not be returning
