What a fab place to have your dinner. Fantastic views, very good service and a really nice atmosphere

I've been here twice. First time average. Second time stood at welcome desk for 5 minutes, not one staff member who trailed past us bothered to even look at me or my two friends so we left disgusted & will never be back. Appalling 👎

Had our evening meal here this evening and exceptional service delivered by Alicia, and the food was excellent.

We had such a lovely experience at the Harvester in New Brighton this evening for my dads retirement meal, and we just wanted to say a big thank you to Alicia for her amazing service. From the moment we arrived, she was so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. She really made us feel comfortable and well looked after throughout our visit. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile and genuine warmth – Alicia truly made our meal that much more enjoyable. Thank you again, Alicia – you were wonderful!

We always live the food and atmosphere in here. Anthony was really great at his service. Will be definitely back again.

Visited today, took 50 minutes from ordering to deliver breakfast for four to the table. Breakfast was average. Not a great experience.

Well it was a lovely evening and I was sat looking out over the beach as the sun was setting. Huge bonus points for that. The staff are friendly, but they take ages to get to you & in my case come back when I’d asked for the bill. I wasn’t asked whether I’d be paying by cash or card so I had to wait another ten minutes and was told that she’d forgotten about me. I ordered cheesecake for dessert (it is clearly a set cheesecake) & for whatever reason only known to the kitchen staff they decided to heat it up. As I wasn’t looking to get a bad stomach so I left it. That’s the first time in a long time I’ve not left a monetary tip.

Our 1st visit to The Derby Pool, and we all really enjoyed it we were able to book at really short notice, all the staff were friendly and courteous a special mention to George who really looked after us. Well done to all at Derby Pool

I found the young lad behind the bar extremely rude today ,I asked for my guinness to be topped up because it had a big head on it after it settled, he said that's how it's supposed to be !! He did top it up eventually. His attitude was disgusting, definitely shouldn't be working in the industry. So disappointing, as it's such a nice setting, wasn't made to feel welcome at all.

Great meal to celebrate sons birthday. Big thanks to server Ellie who was always smiling and attentive. Explained everything we needed to know and checked in on us regularly. Food was really tasty and well presented.

Had a lovely belated mother's Day lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it don't know cost as it was a treat x

Visited here on a Thursday for a late lunch. firstly the order was taken wrong, and as a result only one of the garlic breads had cheese on, the salad bar was missing the potato salad and pasta and low on other items. We had to wait for approx 45 mins for our main course and the burger buns were rock hard and the burger itself was luke warm. I think maybe it had been held under a heat lamp for too long. Over all we found to be low quality and the service slow. Oh yeah and the barman didnt give me the change. (I was going to tell him to keep it anyway but it would have been nice to have that opportunity). I would only recommend this pub for drinks on a sunny day but I wouldnt eat here again.

Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. If I could rate this restaurant a 0 I would. Upon entry, the refill drinks machine was dispensing water - no fizzy drinks. The salad bar was completely empty, after asking staff to refill it multiple times, it eventually got restocked 30 minutes later. We had a further 45 minutes wait on our food. Not one part of this experience was remotely enjoyable. Avoid at all costs. We complained to the manager, who was less than helpful, all he said was ‘he will tell the kitchen’. Not even an apology.

Harvester is a great place to eat! Food is delicious, fab that you get unlimited salad bar included. Staff are very nice especially diego and Amanda go above and beyond to make your dining perfect! Become our favourite place to eat!

Stopped by for a family get together, amazing food and service as usual from Alicia.

We asked for a table by the window and got just that. The waiter was friendly and funny and the food was amazing. Also appreciated the fact that there is no background music!! A wonderful experience which we hope to repeat soon.

Waited absolutely ages for my food then, when it finally did arrive, it was the completely wrong order! Hope the person who got mine enjoys the burgers, the stuff I got is pretty much everything I dislike on the menu!

Lovely place great food and staff

My daughter and I shared a lovely early mothers day lunch. Food was fresh and hot and we were early so the salad bar was fresh and untouched. Staff were really lovely and efficient. Like the old Har ester I remember so well

Had to wait 40 minutes for just a mini dessert and coffee. When the order finally arrived everything was cold and i had to spit out the coffe it was so disgusting. i got nearly poisened by the mass produced and disgusting apple pie and a custard that is more water than anything else and couldn’t finish my desert in fear of vomiting. The view to the beach was blocked by piles of dirty dishes that all of the staff ignored! Aditionally the tables very dirty and covered in salt. Never eaten this bad in england bevore!

Food was amazing, burgers were packed with flavour and the chips were some of the best I’ve had in my entire life, first time I’ve ordered from here but will absolutely be ordering again!

Alicia served us for our meal tonight - having just moved house and feeling a bit frazzled we wanted a quick and wholesome meal, which we got! Alicia was super friendly and helpful especially with our daughter. The food was piping hot and fresh, and very tasty. Will definitely be back!

We going here quite frequently Staff are very welcoming The restaurant is always very clean Love the unlimited salad bar An the rotisserie chicken is bob on an a bargain on a Tuesday £8!!! Plenty other stuff on the menu I'm sure there's something for everyone!! Definitely gets the green light from me Many thanks

Had a nice Sunday lunch today. Great selection on menu. Food was served quickly and hot. Good for pub style dining. Served by a lovely waitress Tracy who couldn't do enough for us. She was great Atmosphere was nice. Not too busy or noisy and kid friendly.

Really nice family meal celebrating my don in laws 40th birthday, the pub was quite full and we had a large group, food was really nice and staff very good.

My meal had sweet potato fries which I love so that’s why I ordered the meal but there were no sweet potato fries in my order.Tried to find an explanation from the waiters and one told me to join the long line of people ordering, another said he is just a waiter and does not work in the kitchen.I gave up trying to get an explanation, but I really would have liked quick assistance from someone.Other than this, the food tasted great!

This is got to be the worst harvester we have been to we waited well over 25 minutes before are food arrived and when it did it was not cooked to the standard we would of liked as for the prices there well over priced

Came this evening with my partner and kids. Tracey, who served us, was attentive and fun (even cracking a few jokes with the kids!) and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was hot, good portions and great value.

Pretty good food. Lovely staff. Nice location by the coast. We don't have this chain in Northern Ireland. Solid, reasonably priced food. Unlimited refill of soft drinks, which is neat. Really enjoyed it. The burger that I had was pretty good. Very much recommended!

It's not as good as it used to be. Sat at bar area as we had our dog. They don't do table service there, so we ordered via the app. Drinks came quite quickly. Place wasn't busy as it was a week day lunchtime. Kids were off school, but not that many in. We waited and waited for the food to come until I went to ask about it. The waitress said she would ask and come back to me, but she didn't. After another 20 minutes, the food came. My belly pork was burnt black. The Tacos that my wife and daughter had , hardly had any fillings in them. Tiny little tacos , not worth the money. Costs a lot to eat there now. The Bromborough one is much better.

Mary & l went to The Derby Pool lunch once again on Friday. No 50% off deal: Boo!! :( Still had a lovely time, as always. Food was spot on, (too many chips), piping hot & well cooked. Service cannot be faulted, staff very pleasant & attentive, our main server was Diego, he always has a smile & a bit of banter which makes you feel welcome & at ease. (1 gripe though, small 1, requested window table, which were available; didn't get it)! All in all; great. We SHALL return. :)

Went for a birthday celebration, and the service is quick . Also their is a free salad bar which is quite big. However the vegan food is hard and not appetising at all but the staff were very helpful.

The food was ok although some of the veg was undercooked. The service from our waitress was excellent bit the place wasn't very clean and the decor was looking a bit shabby. Even the signage outside was looking tired, the Welcome sign had letters missing.

Excellent lunch at this pub restaurant overlooking the beach. Well looked after by Amanda, who was spot on with Allergens advice. 3 different meals from a wide selection, and all perfectly cooked & wholesome. Free salad bar & coke refills a bonus. Nice views.

We had a lovely lunch here today and Amanda was brilliant , really helpful and friendly (she deserves herself a free treacle sponge)

What has gone wrong we have eaten at your restaurant in New Brighton and at your other restaurants many times but as my wife said as we were leaving we won't be eating at a Harvester again? Where have all the staff gone? The waiting staff were doing their very best but they were overwhelmed and could not cope. I had scampi and chips and it was barely warm. My wife had fish and chips the chips were hard and again it was barely warm. We had two courses and we were there for over 2 hours my wife waited so long for a cup of tea that in the end she could wait no more and cancelled it. Once you loose loyal customers they fail to return. You must try much harder if you don't want to continue to loose your loyal customers.

Excellent best mixed grill in years

We have had lunch once, but usually visit here for a coffee after a morning beach walk. We found food portions were generous and prices reasonable. Coffee from a machine. So it's consistent in terms of taste. Dog friendly.

the rice with beans was cold and there was 4 lots when was expecting two. the sweet potato fries were missing, there was no slaw, no gravy. the cornbread if that was what it was was inedible. the chicken was cold and fatty.

Very good service as the waitress Rachel was attentive, polite and friendly, great food, a tiny bit noisy but that's to be expected around children on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Luv this place it's always great. The staff are luvly & the food is fab. We were served by Diego again & everytime he looks after us he's so helpful, funny & treats everybody like he's known them for years. He seems to do a bit of everything & nothing's ever too much for him. He really is an asset to the Derby pool.

We were welcomed at the door and shown to our table which had a lovely view. Our waiter, Diego was charming, friendly and professional. We enjoyed our complementary salad followed by a delicious main meal. We were left in peace to eat our meal, just perfect.

Mediocre experience this evening. Our waitress Ellie was the redeeming feature. Meal was served without the mushrooms, the tomato was dried up and the peas cold. Nice chips though.
