We can not believe what we witnessed today. Mowing their grass, then dumping it into the canal right next to the lock landing. We politely pointed out your dumping onto the canal. This gets round boats props to be informed by the man cutting the grass "that's what British water ways do!" Fact - British waterways hasn't existed since 2012 it's now Canal and River trust and I can assure you they do a grand job getting things out the water to keep it clear and do not fly tip. If you're a boater, care about your prop or just have an interest in keeping the water way free of fly tipping, then vote with your feet. There are many fantastic pubs along the canal choose another. Shame on you willymoor we would have thought with the amount of land space you have surely there was a better solution than this. In case you're not aware, fly tipping is a criminal offence.

Perfect place to stop and have a drink! Sit out on decking right on the canal if it’s a sunny day, or on table by the fire in the winter! Great menu too, all freshly cooked. Good selection of vegetarian options too. And so many beers, ales, ciders, and mixers! Great range, lovely setting…Proper British pub!

Bev and the team were very helpful and accommodating when we were organising a surprise birthday party. Food was excellent, cooked perfectly! We love the atmosphere here with all the teapots and Toby jugs, it all adds to the charm. Plenty of spaces to sit with roaring open fires - very handy at this time of year! A well stocked bar with a selection of real ales on tap and enough spirits to sink a ship...or a narrowboat! 😁

What a lovely spot - right on the canal so you can watch boats coming and going through the lock right outside, and (just!) in the Shropshire countryside, many footpaths cross crossing around it, at the end of a long drive off the A49. An old pub that’s been here for centuries. Unusually, inside, it is more or less the same as it would have been decades ago. It is extremely charming, and well kept. The draught beer (Willeymore) is well kept and delicious; there are others. The owners have been here for nearly 50 years and they know what they’re doing and who their customers are - lovely mix of regulars and tourists and wandering locals. The staff are lovely; the menu has a few favourites like lasagne, cod and chips, mixed grill and small bites, plus a kids menu - all of which are turned out quickly and perfectly well. Be warned - large portions! Will you fit in dessert? Spotted Dick and custard - when did you last have that? It was beautifully soft and well spiced. Prices are very reasonable - excellent value for money. It’s got several rooms, tables outside and a playground.

Moored up early for lunch. Went to check the time it opened and was greeted with a scowl and no words to say they weren't open. We checked the sign to see opened at 12. We should have known then.... We decided to wait for lunch and grabbed a table outside. My mum went to check if we order at the bar to which the landlady replied aggressively, with a scowl, 'well there's no table service here'.

When u drive round the country its always good to see a Costa. On Sunday Frodsham town centre was mainly closed apart from this coffee shop. It was almost like it had turned into a community centre, the place full of people with children drawing and playing. Plenty of tables and chairs to relax at and enjoy the lovely coffees on offer. It's always a bit pricey but it's lovely to visit now and again.Have just visited Costa's again in Frodsham and it's now nestled in amongst other Coffee shops. Its still busy with cakes, pastries and great coffees on offer.Always worth a visit.
