lovely sunday dinner served to us by the even lovelier hard working natasha. friendly pub with great chatty staff. highly recommend.

We stayed at a nearby hotel and came here for dinner. I'm not one for doing reviews but OMG the food and service was amazing i just had to! Their steak and ale pie was just the best ever!! Thank you to Natasha for wonderful service and Stephen the Chef for amazing food. We WILL be back!!

We had dinner here before visiting the theatre. We enjoyed the cocktails we ordered and the food was delicious. The portion sizes were generous and everything was cooked well. The steak we had practically melted in the mouth as it was so tender. It did become quite busy, later on; there didn't appear to be enough waiting staff as there were long waits when trying to order desserts and when trying to pay the bill. The waitress we had, who appeared to be the only one in that section, was friendly and she was clearly working very hard so it isn't a criticism of her work - just a suggestion that more staff could be required to keep things moving smoothly on a busy Friday night.

Fantastic manager makes you feel welcome and relaxed. Good offerings at unlimited breakfast. The brewery need to spend some money on the premises however. Very old faded carpet in the hallway, scuffed chairs, a general feeling of neglect. Needs a refurbishment and *deep clean* to bring it up to standard. Can't fault the manager at all though lovely guy, very professional and will be a big draw in return custom imo. Brewery just need to pull their finger out and improve the premises to match the service. Then it'll score higher.

Low score for atmosphere only because it was very quiet for a Thursday night. Food and service excellent, and the server, Natasha was friendly and efficient. Food tasty, nicely presented and reasonably priced.

Great value meals on offer every day and a fantastic Sunday lunch with plenty of choice.

What a wonderful evening we had with friends. Natasha our waitresses was absolutely brilliant!! She was such fun and made us all feel so so welcome. We come here most weekends for a family breakfast and it never disappoints! The manager Adrian is absolutely amazing, he serves us most weekends and provides the most amazing service! He knows our order and even has our drinks ready for when we sit down, he’s the best!!

Lovely Evening meal! We were part of a party of 16. Was expecting a wait for food, but it all arrived really promptly! The smothered chicken was really nice! Fab choice of deserts too. Thank you to our wonderful friendly and super efficient waitress Natasha for looking after us!

Staying one night at the Premier Inn next to the George and Dragon. Decided to book a table for dinner and glad we did. Our waitress was Natasha and what a breath of fresh air she was - a great asset to the team👍. The food was great. Had sharing platter for starters and mains were cheese and Bacon Burger (with salad instead of the Brioche bun) and Smothered Platter. Too full to have a desert. Certainly would return when visiting the area again. Lovely to such attentive staff.

A beautiful morning i brought my mother out for breakfast It was a nice. quiet, calm atmosphere. As for the breakfast/ continental food available, it is worth £11 each. The amount and variety of items were superb. I had the full English and extras. all of which were tasty and hot. Mother loved the continental option. great selection of fresh fruit yogurts and pastries. different fruit juices and hot drinks amazing. The chef Steve came out of the kitchen to the coffee area as i was there. i thanked him for a great breakfast.

We called into George on Sunday morning for breakfast, we have been a few time before, i just like to say the breakfast was excellent, it came out fast, hot, and looked great too. the poached eggs were perfectly done, served by the manager who was on his own. Although it was busy,there was no waiting for anything. Thank you, see you again soon

Visited for a meal, as a group of 6, after our visit to the Garrick Theatre at the beginning of March. Great menu, food and atmosphere. Service was excellent and especially thanks to Natasha who looked after us. Very professional and a lovely personality. Thank you. Will definitely visit again

You know when people say “ you get what you pay for “ well I paid very little and got a lot , I got great food , great service at a great price , This is a lovely place to eat , I’m a fussy eater I ask for things to be taken off and things added in its place I’ve never been any different but this place was all about the no problem this no problem that , I didn’t get the gents name but I was in on the 8th April he was the only guy there at the time and he’s a credit to the place he was so relaxed we had a laugh he made me feel like having dietary issues is no issue :) 100% would come again and recommend.

Never really have a problem sounds like they used a microwave as often heard a bell sound from a microwave in kitchen I do have dinner sometimes here and all ways been spot on and staff are friendly too

I asked for a mixed grill but didn’t want a lot of the stuff on it like chips sausages etc. nothing was a problem , I was surprised it was so easy but the staff and so chill and nice and the food was so well cooked I loved what I had. Will come again 100%

Love the George, always nice to see familiar faces, the atmosphere is always relaxed and it has that local pub charm. The staff are lovely, Adrian the manager is always friendly, Pan is great too. The food is good and you are never waiting too long. Highly recommend.

We were a family of 15 celebrating a birthday and our server Rebecca was amazing! Efficient, friendly and extremely accomodating throughout. Food was lovely and excellent value … so good we have been back again several times for couples meal/work get together etc and Rebecca and the food have been consistently great! Well done!

We ate here while staying at the adjoining Premier Inn, and had a good meal experience. We had excellent service from Marta. The food was good quality and reasonable value. Decor was lovely.

Pan is a god. Staff is super friendly and approachable. Always enjoy a nice drink with my family and friends. Becky is a super friendly and great with customers. Terri-ann is friendly, bouncy and always asked how me and my grandad are. It's always very appreciated to have such a lovely and lively staff.

We arrived and we were greeted do nicely by the lady on reception who had to explain that they were short staffed due to staff illnesses so could we book a table as soon as possible for the evening dining !! No problem as there were 10 of us we did just that !! Off to our rooms before going to the bar !! The place is a little tired and could do with a full makeover!! However the rooms were great so that’s what really mattered !! Down to the bar for pre meal drinks and the bar staff were super friendly and the service was amazing !! Onto dinner which was really nice and our server Tash was absolutely fantastic all night with great service Witt and charm !!! In the morning we had Tash serve us again and she was excellent again considering the hours they all had to work during to the staff shortages!!! I went out for a works night out, I was advised by the pub that we could have the meal deal, two for 1 but when it came to pay the bill they hadn’t charged the meal deal and it was full price. We asked for the manger and the customer service was appalling, the manager agreed to disagree and said they don’t do a meal deal on Saturday, however they honoured one meal deal but not the other. The manger then shouted at us that we were barred after telling her our problem. The food was terrible and just seemed like a heated up microwave meal.

We went to the restaurant for our dinner as we were staying in the adjoining hotel. I had pie and mash and my husband had steak. Food was beautiful. There was an issue with some other customers who were extremely rude and shouting and swearing in front of families and then making accusations but it was dealt with well and the staff came and apologised if the children heard any of the language. Highly recommend

Booked a take for 7 for daughters birthday we were given a large table in a quiet part of the put which was really cosy food was gorgeous and staff couldn't have been more helpful hostess and bar staff 10/10 for food and service and the price was very reasonable keep up the good work

Incapable of serving starters as starters. Everything came together and was dumped not served nicely. Accessible toilet littered with toilet paper on the floor. Server said she would sort it but she didn't. Please see foto.

The food was standard, so as expected. Unfortunately the place was pretty much deserted so not much atmosphere but that's not what you go for. There was no complaints from any of the 7 of us. Just slightly disappointed there wasn't anything unusual/not standard on the menu... like a dish of the day, if there was we weren't informed

My friend Pete went to the George and Dragon on his way up to see Aston Villa vs Manchester United. The beer and food was great, with competitive prices. Additionally the lovely staff at the pub sent Pete his glasses that he'd left there through the post! Fully recommend.

Booked as worried being close to Christmas would be busy, dead! Arrived at 2ish and left past 4. Not enough staff. My wife's order completely wrong, ordered seasonal Vegan burger, received seasonal meat burger made dairy free (which was great, but not what she ordered). She then had to wait (thankfully) for her order to arrive, whilst the rest of us finished. Table not cleared from kids starters eventually cleared after we finished out mains. Dessert took ages, asked for bill to arrive at the same time, but didn't. My wife's dessert was again dairy free (great) but wrong order. Received bill, thankfully the staff had already realised that whole meal was a fail, comped drink, free meal and 20% off, so not a complete fail.

What a pleasure this place is. Such a nice chilled out vibe. I came to watch the football and stayed for the atmosphere. I watched the game, had some great food and enjoyed a couple games of pool. Special shout out to Pan! What a...

Me and my family went for some dinner yesterday! The staff found out it was my birthday and I recieved a card and a little bottle of fizz! Really lovely touch and very unexpected 😊 the food was lovely, the staff are so friendly and would definitely recommend!

Normally highly rated the George for their service and food, however we booked a group booking ,which to start was ok till one of the mains had a piece of metal wire in it,this put some off their food, not the best after looking forward...

I contacted the George and Dragon to ask if we could book a table for our family pre pantomime brunch, Adrian Suminski who I spoke to advised we could pre-book our choices and would accommodate our group with breakfast choices at a time between normal...

I was there with my daughter, who is vegetarian. We ordered a portion of nachos each, I had chilli beef with mine. Even though each portion was supposed to be a sharer, between two people, the portions were very small. There was very little topping over the nachos and they had cheese sauce over them but no actual cheese, as stated on the menu. I must have had at the most, one desert spoon of chilli beef, which cost over £2.00. At first I thought, "oh well, it is what it is, I won't say anything, I'll just put it on my, 'Never again' list". However, we were charged twice for the chilli beef, so I had to inform the staff. Our server and the person dealing with the error were very polite and we were offered a refund.

I visited this Table Table for the first time on Sunday 26 November 2023 with my very elderly mother and three other very elderly friends and relatives. They all ordered a turkey roast dinner, which was really tasty, apparently. I ordered the vegetarian lasagne with garlic bread and a side salad, which was absolutely FANTASTIC! Only two of us had a dessert, both choosing the triple chocolate brownie and ice cream for dessert, which was delicious. We were served mainly by Natasha and Rebecca, who were both really lovely and friendly. The only reason I've reduced the rating to 4 stars was because of the delay in being served (a large family party came in just before us) and the generally shabby state of the restaurant and toilets, which led me to think that the food would not be that good, but how wrong I was! It's also worth noting that the various coffees and teas (all made with the press of a button on a machine located behind the bar) were all pretty poor. Not the fault of the staff, of course. Just poor equipment and poor products. The place needs a refurbishment but, no doubt that would cost a fortune. If you like tasty food at great prices though, I would definitely recommend.

Went with friend for pre-theatre food on a Saturday. On entry the bar had 4 other customers and the restaurant had none. We ordered mains and drinks at the bar. The food was served, no cutlery or condiments were offered and was told to get...

Stayed recently for two nights. First night was fish and chips. Both were over cooked and dry. The mushy peas were fine. First breakfast was over cooked, dry and bacon like cardboard. Second night dinner was mushrooms to start, acceptable. Main was a burger. The chips were overcooked and dry and the burger was bland. The onion rings ordered as a side, were a strange grey colour. Second breakfast was terrible and overcooked again. Wait staff were friendly but the kitchen staff obviously can't even deep fry Brake bros goods. Oh almost forgot, the liquid served at breakfast called coffee, was most definitely not coffee. I honestly do not know how Table-Table stay in business as they are all terrible.

Me and my partner come most weekends when we are available for a Sunday lunch. It's definitely value for money. Offer Blue Light discount which is great! Marta is hardworking, able to look after her customers and manages multiple guests/tables on her own during busy periods. Often we see her working alone on the floor, back and forth from the bar, kitchen and taking care of customers. The Sunday lunch is of a good standard, we have been to far more expensive restaurants in Altrincham for a Sunday lunch and the food here if definitely better. Our only recommendations are the place could do with some TLC and a thorough clean. This may bring in more guests and make it more appealing. We will continue to come and support this local pub.

Dead atmosphere, staff coughed into her hand then continued to serve us without washing her hands. £18.75 for 2 baked potatoes with chili. Bland edible food, chili thick brown sauce looked like it came out of a can, no fresh mince here and I'd have expected that for almost a tenner. Won't be back 👎

Called in for a bite to eat. Food was pub grub but was hot and tasty. I had the beef and ale pie. Very nice. Great service from Marta. Very polite and helpful. Drinks came quickly when ordered.

I came here for some food and drink with a colleague. We were greeted by Adrian, and he made sure that we were looked after from start to finish. The service was fantastic and the food/drink was good. Staff are great, the bar is nice and quiet, and the prices are OK. I would definitely recommend.

I order 2 chicken dinners they a piece of breast that was frozen then cooked no skin thin and no mash just frozen potatoes carrots and pea that was the worst dinner I ever eaten . I stood there 10 mins before some one settee me

Passing by and decided to stop for lunch. I had the fish pie and my wife had Sunday roast dinner. the food was very good except the salad with my fish pie was missing some onion and more than one piece of cucumber hence my 4outof 5 score. Staff were excellent very attenrive

Had a very minor problem but it was resolved immediately . The manager incharge ( blonde lady ) was most helpfull and I would like to complement her on her attitude towards helping and resolving the problem. We were made to feel really welcome by the staff, the beer was good and cold, the food was just as you’d expect from a table table menu.

Stopped at the premier inn b4 an early morn flight. 4 evening meals all well presented and cooked perfectly.I would eat here again if in area

The staff were excellent. Even when their cellar flooded (act of god), they didn't panic and did everything they could to keep their customers happy. Food was good and in the sun, the beer garden was most welcome. Enjoy the beer but stay for the craic.

I recently visited The George as I have often before. On a previous visit I ordered the garlic bread with cheese and received a healthy portion of about four decent slices of proper garlic bread for around £4. However on my last visit, to my dismay it seems they have resorted to buying in what can only be described as something you would buy from Tescos. You know, those diagonally cut, small pieces of garlic bread that you pay about £1.50 for a whole loaf and you get around 12 slices. And then to add further insult, they have cut the portion size in half, so you only get TWO tiny slices and they charge you £4.95 for it. It's a mahoosive rip-off and I wouldn't recommend anyone ordering it unless you're a fan of being scammed. Fortunately, the staff were very understanding as they've had nothing but complaints about this and they did refund me one portion, but whoever is in charge of the menu, needs to sort this out. It's a joke!

The burgers were great, dinner service for me, was pleasant Lunch table service was slow tho, wasn’t busy so I don’t know why, took me a long time to search for a waiter Drinks aren’t served as described on the menu such as pina colada didn’t come with the pineapple slice and the cream soda didn’t come with fresh strawberries as written😔 it’s fine but the fresh fruit would have made it so much better Despite all that, it is a very nice pub, I do recommend :) and it’s connected to the hotel 👍

In Altrincham for business for four weeks. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the breakfast.

Phoned to book a table at 9:30pm as we were travelling a long distance and wouldn't arrive until late. When we arrived at 9:30pm we were told they were closing early, after explaining we had already booked a table, we were told fine but no more orders after us. We were made to feel like a massive burden, there were no pleasantries from any of the staff, instead we were rushed to order. When the food arrived it was slammed on the table Infront of us, without so much as a look in our direction. The waitress walked off, never to return to ask if we needed anything during our meal. A different person took our plates away at the end of the meal and asked if we wanted any more drinks, we replied with a YES but 2 minutes later we were asked to pay our bill instead.... No extra drinks provided. When it came to paying the bill we were told the till had already been closed down, so in what seemed like a massive inconvenience to the person serving us, we were asked to go to the bar so she could sort us out. At no point have we been asked if everything was ok, was the food satisfactory. Working in hospitality I would hate for any of my guests to be made to feel the way we were made to feel. Unpleasant experience from start to finish. Food was nice, not that anyone wanted to ask us about it.
