The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Lovely place but shocking service. Went in, ordered food and drinks - watched our waitress write down the order - waited 30 mins and still not received any drinks. Then we asked another waitress where are drinks were and she tells us our food and drinks both haven’t been ordered. After waiting for 30 mins - what an absolute shambles.

very nice, very well decorated and staff were lovely. food was amazing and catered well for substitutions, drinks were very nice too.

Past this place a few times and wondered if it's just for members, so we decided to pop in to check it out. I'm glad we did. The restaurant is open to the public, and there is a large car park around the back with a few allocated disabled bays, although the markings on the ground have faded. The front entrance is automatically and wide enough for wheelchairs. The restaurant has a disabled WC, The staff seemed friendly and sat us down where we wanted and took our drinks & food orders promptly. The food came pipping hot, and it was delicious. There is a huge selection of foods and vegetarian options to choose from. Check their website for the latest menu items. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

...how good it was. Had the mixed grill which was plentiful, piping hot and tasty- can't ask for much better than that!! Didn't think the drinks prices were particularly good value compared to some other local boozers. Whilst we were waiting for everyone else to arrive we had a pint of Level Head (I like it!) and a large glass of red which came to over 14 quid

Fantastic food and great views, a good selection of dishes ranging from small plates to full meals. I had the beef flatbread which was very well cooked. A good selection of wines and beers on offer at the bar. We didn't try the deserts but they looked very nice. The decking area is definitely somewhere to enjoy a nice drink on a sunny evening.

Stayed at the nearby Haven site and as its been nearly 20 years since last coming in here, booked a table. Joshua, provided both bar and waiter service, was quick, efficient and very friendly. Couple of nice pints with the Cumbria ale and Dizzy Blonde. Meals were both superb and plentiful, and not overpriced. Fish & chips for me, rag pudding & chips for OH. Wanted the liver, bacon & mash but it had sold out, unfortunately. Clean and tidy pub that offers 7 rooms for accomodation. Nice beer garden to the rear to relax in. Only about 10/15 walk back to the caravan. Central village location and great base for exploring the South Lakes. Advised for a visit 👍🏻👍🏻

When u drive round the country its always good to see a Costa. On Sunday Frodsham town centre was mainly closed apart from this coffee shop. It was almost like it had turned into a community centre, the place full of people with children drawing and playing. Plenty of tables and chairs to relax at and enjoy the lovely coffees on offer. It's always a bit pricey but it's lovely to visit now and again.Have just visited Costa's again in Frodsham and it's now nestled in amongst other Coffee shops.Its still busy with cakes, pastries and great coffees on offer.Always worth a visit.

Visited Again today. Chips were just cooked fish was all batter. Asked for English curry. 3rd time was given Chinese curry. Why ask if they can't comply. Use to use this place frequently. WILL NOT VISIT AGAIN.

Amazing service. Fantastic with allergens. We tried the set menu and it didn’t disappoint. Absolutely delicious.. recommend.
