Beautiful space! We came here for a birthday dinner (in August) and really enjoyed it! The wine selection was delicious and the food were all so well made. The lamb chop, French beans and the ‘hash browns’ were the stars of the show!!

We had an absolutely amazing experience eating at Climat Saturday evening. Where to start, the service was impeccable, from the first interaction to our waiter Harry, who was so attentive, to the chefs who delivered our food and explained each dish, to the managers who checked in that all was OK, perfect. The food, we shared 6 plates and each one was delicious, all the food was so delicate, tasty and just the right serving size. A very memorable evening and only wished we lived closer to taste the ever changing menu regularly. Well done to all

Lovely atmosphere. Top notch service. Food delicious but small portions and very pricey. Everything ‘downsized’ including the pilsner, gin and tonic (that came ready mixed) and a carafe of wine rather than a bottle. Bottles start at £50. The dullest salad for £5 and a dessert that was all sugar (that was removed from the bill) Food tasty but very expensive. Chefs good but not value for money. Won’t be going back

A fantastic dinner at small plates wine bar Climat. We the hash browns & taramasalata, gnudi, girolles & cavolo nero, jane's farm pork chop, suffolk lamb, broad beans & anchoïade, and yellow beans, wholegrain mustard & breadcrumbs, accompanied by a Vermentino. Loved our table next to the open kitchen, plus a view!

Really overpriced for what it was, we were told the further down the menu we went the bigger the plates got… I think they meant the physical plates because he had a “snack” that had more substance than the £26 lamb! Service was okay, seemed very moody and patronising when we were struggling to pronounce one of the dishes. Beef tartare tasted of mostly vinegar and was brown as if it had been left out. I’d go back for drinks because the view is lovely but not food as it is just so overpriced.

Absolutely awful. Wish I had read the reviews before we came. Salad at £5 was a bag of 99p leaves from Asda. Starving when we left. Bill of £400. Views of Manchester nice. Food very average. Not a great atmosphere either. Very very very disappointing. Really do not bother. Spend your money elsewhere. The ivy and 20 stories much much nicer. Paying the extortionate bill was hard. No cash accepted and splitting it was hard work. Really spoilt my birthday weekend.

Came here for lunch for a friends birthday. We were in a rush (pre-theatre lunch)! The restaurant staff were super accommodating considering the time constraints. We ordered a selection of small dishes and mains to share with wines suggested by the restaurant sommelier. Our server was so lovely and she was very informative and knowledgeable of the dishes available. There wasn't much of an atmosphere, however, we did arrive just as the restaurant opened. I'm sure it would be much better with more diners. Accessibility wise, when you come through the main door, there is a lift up to the restaurant at the far end. This restaurant is definitely a luxury eat-out option taking into consideration the price per person. I would however recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed.

For a place that bills itself as 'wine-led', how could they get a pairing so wrong? The food is very good, the setting lovely. That must be said. After some discussion about wine, the sommelier (?) never took the sauce of the grilled fish into consideration. It was a delicious sweet and sour vinaigrette, more tomato than apricot. And nor did my wine arrive in a timely fashion, but about half-way through that course. In general, the service was disappointing, neglectful at times, and the place was not crowded at all. After being made to wait outside of the building with no explanation or answer to the video call—we were about three minutes early—, we were mysteriously buzzed in. There is no sign in the lift to remind you that you are going to the rooftop. The host was cordial, if distant. The server, who was the most kind and accessible person I encountered, made a mistake in my order, which was caught through interaction with someone else who offered neither acknowledgement nor apology. Had the experience been more positive, I might have ordered dessert. The choices were intriguing.

I wanted to like Climat, it has been on the radar for a while having been impressed by the ‘A wine led restaurant’ strap line. The reality is that it didn’t live up to my expectations. It was pleasant, nothing more really, the wine experience was shallow, like the food. Just a double sided A4 experience of basic wine choices, not the extensive repertoire I expected. The food was, I mentioned, average. I had the steak tartare which was clearly prepared in advance as the meat had browned, granted it was a hot day for Manchester at 26 degrees but this is inexcusable as the restaurant was catering for around 10 covers at the time. We sampled other dishes including Scottish Langoustine, a vegan mushroom gnocchi and various side dishes which were all just ok. The whole experience clearly passed us by and we both lamented on the fact that we wouldn’t be rushing back. One other point, it was a hot day for a stereotypical Mancunian, call me old fashioned but I still attended wearing a shirt and trousers for our early evening table. I expected that some diners may elect to wearing tailored shorts. I didn’t expect to see the waiting staff in such casual dress, one in particular wearing casual shorts and old trainers, summed up our evening to be honest. Attention to detail, it will make or break you, simple as…

Maybe the best restaurant in central Manchester. Most of the meet and the fish are grilled in the charcoal which gives a deep aftertaste and a light smokiness. Excellent wine list to accompain the food. I was also impressed with the desserts it is rare to find a restaurant that has better deserts than a good pastry shops. The only issue is that we had booked a table for 8.15 but we had to wait in the bar for over 20 min. However, the food and the service was worth waiting for.

We came to Climat to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The view from the restaurant is outstanding - especially as we were there on a sunny day. The staff were efficient and friendly. The food, although good, was very small portion wise, based on the recommended number of plates per person. We felt it was overpriced for what we had. The standout dishes were the tuna and gougeres. The plates were well paced. There was a vast selection of wine, again, very expensive. I would recommend Climat for a very special occasion if you don’t mind spending a lot but don’t go on an empty stomach. I would also add that, like most restaurants we have been to for birthdays/special occasions, the restaurant staff made little effort to recognise this which was a bit disappointing.

I was a little sceptical about climat with it having a rooftop views and the type of people it attracts like 20 stories but it's really low key without any pretentious. The food was excellent from the potato hash through to the ceviche. All plates were well sized and tasted sublime. There is an extensive wine list and I would recommend trying by the glass. The minimum price for a bottle was £38 and we plumped for the next price range, which started at £58 so it's not cheap. They do have a good drink selection with local beers and cocktails. I would go again and highly recommend.

Fantastic service, particularly from Dylan - he is a star - accommodating, knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. The food in general was fantastic - standouts were the Hash Browns, Gougeres, Poussin, Tempura Asparagus and the Black Forest Eclair. The Hogget and Courgette Side dish were underwhelming and a bit bland. Drinks on the expensive side, particularly when wine is served in a 500ml Carafe. Seeing that the dishes are served to you "when ready" the tables aren't big enough to fit all the plates on, particularly if you haven't finished a dish before the next ones arrive so it all becomes a bit of a mess. Views over the City Centre are good - one of the few in Manchester where you can experience this.

Have eaten here a few times, have been disappointed each time. So much hype in the media , all positive, made me think I was just unlucky in our choices. It describes itself as a wine led restaurant, wines are excellent, huge choice . However food is poor. Furnishings are basic and not that comfortable. Probably good for large groups , who would prioritise drinks over food. No need to dress up , casual dressing in fine . Can’t see myself coming back.

So on a business trip went to this on my own for a chefs table but it was very empty so got a nice table. 2 courses were excellent - nice 500ml wine option for one but there were no carbs on what was offered for £50 of food. The options for extras were very butter based which I don’t like - ended up buying some chips on the way back to hotel. Others have mentioned this in reviews they need to address - a small portion of dauphinoise potatoes or something like that with the turbot would have sealed the dish. It’s close to a Michelin star but not there yet.

Good restaurant in central Manchester. I'd read about this, and booked it for a date as soon as I had the opportunity to try it after hearing good things, and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is vibrant but non judgemental, the menu concise but refined. We ordered a starter, three mains and an "extra" alongside a bottle of wine which came to £120 with the (arguably) optional service charge, which felt like the standard price for a meal for two, however you could easily spend much more. The wine selection is good, and the dishes, which are sharing plates are familiar while unique enough to be memorable (such as the Beef Tatar, which is served with prawn crackers). A standout for me was the Poussin which was delicious when paired with a side of potatoes. Slightly pink and tender, with a satisfyingly succulent taste. Eating that while viewing the Manchester skyline was a treat, especially given the restaurant is slightly above eye level with other buildings in Deansgate, such as St.Anne's church. I'd highly recommend it.

This made the experience feel pretentious and stingy. They didn't offer to change our plates between courses. This place is style over substance and yet it gets the style all wrong. The layout is a mess, the music too loud. The front of house server was so bad. Barely a welcome; didn’t take our coats until they had fallen off our chairs a bunch of times. The state of the toilets was dismal, and again front of house had to be told twice of the “mess” that needed to be dealt with. 🤢 The service staff are very trendy but haven’t a clue about service. Except for Freya, who was fun friendly and attentive. Also I really resent paying £3 per bottle for filtered water. You’re already fleecing us on the wine! We had an outstanding first visit to Climat on Saturday. True to its standout reputation as one of the hottest spots in Manchester right now, it proved to be the perfect choice for a special meal. The timing of our late lunch/early dinner booking granted us beautiful sun at our window table, offering amazing city views. The 9 dishes we indulged in were all delicious, with standout favourites like the sourdough, braised carrots, artichoke, and beef. Being a wine-led establishment, Climat's extensive and high-quality wine menu justified the relatively higher prices. Each glass was served to perfection, at the correct temperature to the degree, making the overall experience super special. Our 2-hour dining experience felt like an escape, with a wonderful balance of buzz and intimacy in the ambience. The front-of-house staff were warm and attentive, without being overbearing. I'd definitely go for the countertop seating for an evening booking, or in poor weather. It offers a mesmerising view of the chefs in the open kitchen and is the perfect romantic date night spot. The pace of the courses during our dinner was perfect, allowing us to savor each moment. Climat, with its beautiful artwork, decor, and stylish atmosphere, truly felt like a hidden gem. Despite being one of the top restaurants in Manchester, it maintains a cool and relaxed vibe, avoiding any sense of stuffiness. Memorable and delicious food, served as small plates. The pork chop with spruce sauce was superb and hopefully will remain on the menu for the foreseeable! (Likewise the rhubarb and custard choux - one of the best deserts I've had in years) As a point to improve upon - as a restaurant which is positioned as 'wine led' Climat could do a lot more to emphasise this. Suggested wine pairings with courses, an in house sommelier to help inform you of your choices etc would all make the experience top notch. (currently the staff don't really know what they're serving and what it's like etc which takes away a touch from the experience. All in all though - wonderful food and we'll be back!

The service given the amount of money we spent was slow, disjointed and was not attentive. Some of the food dishes were nice but some plates were very questionable. RE my partner being served raw-looking steak with no steak knife. Instead given a butter knife to cut through these pieces of meat. She could not finish her meal. Enjoyable experience all in all. The dishes are presented intricately and are nicely crafted. I had the hash brown, cured bream (tasted like perfume-marinated fish but in a good way! Refreshing herb pairing), and the hogget leg as the main. Meat is cooked nicely so that it is tender, medium rare with a beautiful pink on the middle. Haven't had this cut before it had a hint of the fl as flavour of lamb but not as strong. It's located on the 8th floor so you get panoramic view of the city as well though it doesn't seem you can head out (?) A nice find in Manchester and I'd love to come and try other fishes some more.

Seems like we’d stepped back about 10 years to pretentious overpriced food. Had the tasting menu. One of the courses was a carrot, which left the whole table baffled. The lamb shoulder was beautiful, but the accompanying sides were inadequate and the mash tasted like someone had slipped with a ton of salt. The cold rice pudding for dessert kind of summed up the experience.

Went out of their way to help us with our meal. Provided us with a vegan menu. Very different to the usual boring choices available for people who are plant based. Really excellently made food. So tasty and unusual

Visited for our anniversary meal yesterday and it was lovely from the moment of welcome to leaving. Great recommendations on what to eat and enjoyed every bite. Very much appreciated the playlist too 🙂

What an amazing restaurant! This was my fourth visit to Climat and each time has exceeded expectations. One of those menus where you want to eat everything on it and a superb wine list to back up the food. The tuna crudo and whole plaice were the stars of this lunch, and perfect enjoyed on the terrace looking over the city. All the food has great flavour and seasoned really well, proper bold flavours and great cooking. Team friendly as ever. Worth every penny. Can't wait to come back for round 5!

Having eaten in Climat previously, we chose to have our Wedding Meal here. Communication with regards to booking and organising a set menu was excellent. The food was outstanding, service exceptional with a cool vibe and unintrusive. There's a lot of restaurant choice in Manchester yet this is up there in the top choices.

Awful. Manager was rude and unapologetic. Turned up 3 minutes after “closing time” (I had also called ahead to say we were coming) there was a lot of people still in there and going nowhere. They would not let us have a quick drink. Manager was rude and clearly wanted to go home. Have also heard food is overpriced. Do not bother.

Es como si los cocineros estuvieran en prácticas y no supieran fusionar sabores. Me defraudó mucho la comida.

Will definitely return. The food was really good, but also came out as it was ready, making for relaxing dining. Giving us a chance to catch up. The service was prompt and the team were knowledgeable. The sommelier especially so.

Great evening with a pre dinner cocktail on the roof terrace which was a great way to see the ever changing skyline of Manchester. Food, service and overall vibe was one of the best I’ve experienced in Manchester.

By far the best restaurant in Manchester. This is an accessible restaurant for those who really appreciate food and flavours which are reminiscent of finer dining experiences. Staff are always on hand to help explain the menu and highly knowledgeable. Wide selction suitable for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The wine selection is amazing and again staff are very knowledgeable in knowing what goes well with each dish. 10/10 would recommend.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary in style at Climat following a friend’s recommendation. A warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere and stunning food/drinks made for a very special evening. And the views! Even on a gloomy evening. The food was cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully and simply outstanding. The cod was the stand out dish for me, along with the crème brûlée which was light and delicate. We enjoyed meeting a few of the team including Emma and our Semelier who were totally amazing! So attentive, personable and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for making our evening a memorable one. We’ll be back.

Nice experience due to the staff and ambience. Beautiful views with good energy, great for a date or friends. Sadly, the food did not live up to our expectations however the wine was delicious. I wouldn’t go back for dinner again however it is a beautiful venue with lovely service, views and an outdoor terrace for drinks and wine.

I’ve held events at The Lawn Club on multiple occasions, and have always been impressed by the service. The team are really helpful, whether for a group or 20 or a large private hire. They provide a strong service, whilst the food on offer is really good quality. The General Manager (Ian) is really personable and provides a great Hands On experience for you all the time. A great location in Spinningfields, a brilliant place to be every day of the week.
