On paper this pub looks really nice , but don’t be fooled if you like cheap burnt food , served without a smile this is the place for you , been here a couple of times and the big chap with earrings is a massive dark cloud , trudging around the bar area with the world s weight on his shoulder s , I know we all have Issues , but talk about a mood killer , and like I said food was not great I had the ultimate burger which was burnt with the chicken bits burnt also, we still had a lovely time because not been out together for a long time. , but defo won’t be returning here , sorry for harsh review but that’s how I feel .

Lovely birthday Sunday roast for my daughters 25th, rib of beef was delicious, always a fabulous atmosphere, Dan goes out of his way to make you feel special & always welcoming, service is excellent, only gripe-the roast potatoes spoil it a little, the meat, veg & yorki was spot on but feel roast potatoes let it down, the rib of beef defo deserves a good proper roast potato to go with it 👍🏻😊 but over all, one of my fave places to visit for a relaxed bite to eat & a few drinkies, Chris & Dan are lovely, excellent hosts 👌🏼

Absolutely loved our Sunday Roast, if there was anything to mention it was the roasties, too hard , service and atmosphere brilliant!! Just a shame they've stopped doing bottled tonic water, the syrupy stuff is just awful 😖

The manager (not Chris) is the most unapproachable man He is so rude and the look on his face is constantly miserable You wouldn't think you are paying your way! I wouldn't dream of speaking to people the way he does. It's every single time not just a once off The rest of the bar staff are absolutely lovely

Plenty of parking Big place inside but still has cosy feel to it . Staff are friendly and welcoming . Food is tasty and good size portions.

Was placed next to door it was freezing got i n at 4pm was told to move by 5pm becomes people had vouchers my tea was cold and the food looked and tasted reheated I usually like this place seams to have gone down hill..

Really enjoyed ourselves never been before I'm disabled told them in my booking was very accommodating staff behind bar and wait on staff were very friendly always smiling even when it was very busy will visit again.

We stopped by for dinner after the ballet in Manchester and was absolutely delighted!! The were able to seat us and the atmosphere is fantastic!! The food was so good!! Great value for money. I had the lasagna and my husband had the chicken skewer. Both were fantastic and we plan on returning to try more dishes! We started with the breaded mushrooms and I was. Soooo happy they were perfect and great!! Highly recommended!!!

The service was very quick ,although it was a busy night ,the food arrived quickly and was very nice .Staff were attentive and friendly .

Food was beautiful and fab service from the staff despite it being busy when we arrived! Shoutout to Ruby and the manager who checked in with us to make sure everything was enjoyable. Will definitely be back!

Update: We visited again and the experience was very poor. The grilled chicken was bland, the chicken burger was not crispy, just a piece of lettuce with no sauce and a soggy hash brown on the bun. After waiting 30 minutes for 2nd course, 2 were brought out and 1 person was waiting 15 minutes for theirs to come out. Completely different experience from our first time, shame. Service was a little slow to start but picked up. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The beer battered mushrooms were delicious and the rainbow lasagna was lovely, definitely made in house, prices are reasonable and, the decor with Christmas decorations is beautiful. Could do with some dressing on the side salad with the lasagne. I had 2 courses for £9.99 😊

Visited twice this week to make the most of 50% off. Had a bit of a wait as it was very popular but it was worth the wait. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and great service so what's not to like! Food choices are great and we really enjoyed both visits.

very good value on a deal for the meals food was very good ,good size portions tasty and well presented .only down side was a 54 minuet wait from ordering to serving of food

Mixed grill was absolutely awful, Piece of steak was inedible, stringy and had more fat than a weight watchers starter group. Sausages were cremated. Chips undercooked. Disappointed, will not return.

I’m not usually one for going out for Christmas Dinner but I’m so glad I did. The pub was beautifully decorated and felt really festive. We had already been asked what choices we wanted and after being seated, the first course came, table cleared quickly, then the mains and finally dessert - but never felt rushed. The food was lovely, the staff really friendly and festive and it was a real treat! Will definitely be visiting again. Thanks for making our Christmas Day!!

Warm welcome. Pub was extremely busy. We have ordered quickly but it was nearly 1,5 hour before our starters arrived. They were incorrect therefore one person was left while others ate. Another 45 min for mains which were underwhelming to say at least.. steak not cooked to order, chicken dry, eggs overcooked. Shepherds pie had 1 burnt carrot and no other greens on side. Haloumi skewer was cold, appeared not cooked.. we have ate it as been really hungry waiting over 2 hours !! Next day all 4 of us experienced bad bellies, diarrhea and 2 of the group ended up throwing up. It was a very disappointing experience as we have been coming regularly. It was obvious the pub couldn't cope with the amount of people on site. It has gone down massively in our judgement. What a shame..

Considering it was xmas and evey table was full, you would have thought they would have had more staff on. It's not as if they didn't know about the number of xmas parties due in. And there was definitely favourite show to a certain type of guest. I have dined and drank in this establishment over the years and was a little shocked by my recent visit.

The group of people I was with was fantastic. The seating arrangements weren't very good. Two square tables and a round table were shoved together right up near a window. Once in I couldn't get out to go to the bar, or the loo . VERY uncomfortable seating for disabled people.

Festive menu Food over microwaved. No friendly greeting. Was our 1st visit and won’t be returning. Been to other Ember Inns and the experience was so much better.

Called in at 15-15hrs today 9/12. Was asked to sit at table, and waitress would take my order. By 16-00hrs 45 mins later, I'm still waiting, no waitress, no food, wasn't even offered a drink. Atrocious service!

Dan greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome and although it was very busy we were given a very nice table we ordered our food and it arrived promptly, the food was delicious and the wine was excellent, the staff are very efficient and friendly. The Fairfield Arms is a lovely cosy place to have a nice meal or just drinks

Have been here a few times. Always been a good experience until today. The menu has changed and not for the better. The service was very slow, our food was cold when we finally got it, 45 minutes after it was ordered.

First time being here, absolutely loved it. Unfortunately there wasn't any tables available at that time but the front of house manager did everything to ensure we didn't have to leave and we got 2 amazing cocktails, great food and were welcomed very well. Can't beat it, thank you!

This is a hidden gem! You walk into the entrance of an old grand house, and once inside, it's like you are transported back in time. Greeted by a huge staircase and big open rooms with open fires burning. The decor and furnishings added to what is a really lovely place. The food was sublime, I had sheppards pie and seasonal veg followed by the crumble. The food was outstanding. I was drinking the red rioca was also a very very lovely drink and went down abit to easy! Sore head the following day!. We went on Tuesday night, so it was quiet with only a few guests in. There aren't any sreens showing the news or football what was a lovely change. I'd highly recommend this lovely place to couples and small groups and families. Got to mention Sue who served us. Very happy to chat, very warm and welcoming. We will certainly be going back.

Friday 15th December 2024. Called in for a few beers. Left 18:40 ish. The pub looked full or tables reserved. Seems a nice place to eat. Had 3 ales on. Recommended

Since the Fairfield has been under new management food isn't as good as it used to be.

Food was lovely, took some time from order to table despite not being busy. Plenty of car parking spaces.

Lovely pub Decent food. Incredible value for money.

Visited as a large group for lunch. Food was just average, battered mushrooms tasted like that had been cooked in dirty fat and the steak sandwich was more fat than meat. The service was excellent.

We had roast dinner which was nice but we didn't like the roast potatoes we think they were frozen ones but the Yorkshire pudding was lovely

Beautiful food brilliant service I would give 5🌟 but that to me indicates no room for improvement and there is always ways to improve ( blame my teachers ) 🤣👍

Very disappointed tonight have eaten here before and last time was lovely. Tonight we tried curry night starter was nice but a very small portion 3 small pieces of chicken, however the main was super poor, lamb jalfrezi , very watery sauce and 3 small pieces of lamb , very much like a poor ready meal, no texture, no depth of flavour , lots of chilli to hide the factb it had 0 taste. My best recommendation is order from the main menu.

Sue got us a table straight away on a Saturday night,the service food and staff are great and a great menu is great too came In the week for a meal for 4 same service from sue again so 5 stars here

We were very impressed with everything, Dan made us feel very welcome and ensured we were looked after during our meal. All staff were attentive and made our evening feel special.

Great food and friendly staff although as you need to self order food at the bar 2 staff serving is not adequate. This caused long queues.

Very disappointed with the Sunday duo veg including cabbage was hard roast potatoes were warmed up and soggy chicken very dry and gammon tough all in all not an enjoyable meal it was a birthday treat Won't be returning anytime soon

although the food was well priced and did taste nice the service was very slow we waited 20 mins just for four shots and the bar staff was just stood talking (we ordered at table) the pint of cider i had didn’t even taste right but due to how long it took to be made and served i’d just drank it the price of drinks was not worth what we got £3.35 for not even a full pint or coke

The Fairfield Arms is consistently great in its food, service and atmosphere. We’ve been coming to the FA for nearly 30 years.

Came here for a afternoon meal waited over 2 hours ad are starter nothing for 2 hours meal comes cold never again will we come here

Staff were lovely. Meals were brought out quickly and together, which is a big plus from me.

Me and my family come here on a regular basis. The food is great. There is plenty for everyone to do with seating both indoors and outdoors (sheltered)

Husband took me out for a drive as I'm recovering from major surgery and we nipped in for a cheeky dinner. Staff are lovely and were very polite and attentive. The new menu was easy to choose food from. Food came quickly, was delicious and not expensive. Hubby had the 3 courses for £11 something. Great place to eat.

I love the Fairfield Arms - it's one of my all-time favourite pubs in Manchester. I noticed they've updated their menu recently. The Slow-Cooked Rib of Beef on their menu was just incredibly delicious. I had it again today, and it was still absolutely fantastic, cooked to perfection and piping hot. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food, but I'd easily give them 5 stars! :)

We just love the atmosphere here ,everyone is welcoming and friendly. Chris the perfect Host always remembers your names and Dan greets everyone like a friend . Food and service ,great choices and efficient no sultry faces !!! We love the quiz night and is regularly full of all ages competing for the first place !! ( And a voucher for future meals drinks etc)

Came here in a weekday afternoon for a catching up. We ordered some coffee and a soup. The coffees came with brownies, while my soup came with 2 slices of bread. The waiter is nice and the environment is cozy.

Came here for lunch with a group. Bar staff were lovely and chatty. Food and drink not too expensive. Did come out rather slow.

Food was great, only disappointment was no smooth bitter on sale. Chips could have been hotter.
