Dined on 29/9/2024 we had 2 beef Sunday dinners ,food was excellent chris and his team do an excellent job.

Visited as a large group for lunch. Food was just average, battered mushrooms tasted like that had been cooked in dirty fat and the steak sandwich was more fat than meat. The service was excellent.

We booked a table for 7pm and we were seated immediately, we ordered our food and it arrived promptly, the food was delicious and the wine was excellent, the staff are very efficient and friendly.

Beautiful food brilliant service I would give 5🌟 but that to me indicates no room for improvement and there is always ways to improve ( blame my teachers ) 🤣👍

Very disappointed tonight have eaten here before and last time was lovely. Tonight we tried curry night starter was nice but a very small portion 3 small pieces of chicken, however the main was super poor, lamb jalfrezi , very watery sauce and 3 small pieces of lamb , very much like a poor ready meal, no texture, no depth of flavour , lots of chilli to hide the factb it had 0 taste. My best recommendation is order from the main menu.

Sue got us a table straight away on a Saturday night,the service food and staff are great and a great menu is great too came In the week for a meal for 4 same service from sue again so 5 stars here

Really enjoyed ourselves never been before I'm disabled told them in my booking was very accommodating staff behind bar and wait on staff were very friendly always smiling even when it was very busy will visit again.

We were very impressed with everything, Dan made us feel very welcome and ensured we were looked after during our meal. All staff were attentive and made our evening feel special.

Great food and friendly staff although as you need to self order food at the bar 2 staff serving is not adequate. This caused long queues.

Very disappointed with the Sunday duo veg including cabbage was hard roast potatoes were warmed up and soggy chicken very dry and gammon tough all in all not an enjoyable meal it was a birthday treat Won't be returning anytime soon

although the food was well priced and did taste nice the service was very slow we waited 20 mins just for four shots and the bar staff was just stood talking (we ordered at table) the pint of cider i had didn’t even taste right but due to how long it took to be made and served i’d just drank it the price of drinks was not worth what we got £3.35 for not even a full pint or coke

Came here for a afternoon meal waited over 2 hours ad are starter nothing for 2 hours meal comes cold never again will we come here

Staff were lovely. Meals were brought out quickly and together, which is a big plus from me.

Me and my family come here on a regular basis. The food is great. There is plenty for everyone to do with seating both indoors and outdoors (sheltered)

Husband took me out for a drive as I'm recovering from major surgery and we nipped in for a cheeky dinner. Staff are lovely and were very polite and attentive. The new menu was easy to choose food from. Food came quickly, was delicious and not expensive. Hubby had the 3 courses for £11 something. Great place to eat.

I love the Fairfield Arms - it's one of my all-time favourite pubs in Manchester. I noticed they've updated their menu recently. The Slow-Cooked Rib of Beef on their menu was just incredibly delicious. I had it again today, and it was still absolutely fantastic, cooked to perfection and piping hot. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food, but I'd easily give them 5 stars! :)

We just love the atmosphere here ,everyone is welcoming and friendly. Chris the perfect Host always remembers your names and Dan greets everyone like a friend . Food and service ,great choices and efficient no sultry faces !!! We love the quiz night and is regularly full of all ages competing for the first place !! ( And a voucher for future meals drinks etc)

Came here for lunch with a group. Bar staff were lovely and chatty. Food and drink not too expensive. Did come out rather slow.

Came here in a weekday afternoon for a catching up. We ordered some coffee and a soup. The coffees came with brownies, while my soup came with 2 slices of bread. The waiter is nice and the environment is cozy.

Food was great, only disappointment was no smooth bitter on sale. Chips could have been hotter.

This is just such a lovely place. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. Always good food. Plus your always made to feel welcome no matter how busy they are

Nice beer garden, food is average but a nice place for a pint and a good outdoor area. The interior is very nice lots of character and a good selection of beers on tap.

Dan, Jenny, the bar staff and the kitchen staff have been absolutely amazing. We’ve had such a warm and friendly experience in the Fairfield this evening. We ordered food and a few bottles of fizz on an afternoon after an exceptionally long week. The team in the bar have really helped us relax and enjoy our evening. Would highly recommend, food and staff are fantastic…the only thing missing is a bit of music

Lovely atmosphere and service from Josh and Chris, Josh went above and beyond, we arrived early and he managed to get us a table, my fella forgot to order the cheesy garlic bread so when Josh came out with the food he went back and asked the kitchen to do us one which arrived quickly, When we have been in before Josh has served us and booked us tables at Christmas he’s very polite and he’s a credit to your team, always happy and so helpful, Chris the manager is always so welcoming and always happy and willing to help too, I had a mix grill and the steak was cooked perfect by the kitchen Byron and Mitchell, we had such a lovely afternoon and will definitely be back.

Nice place to Dine or just have a drink, you could even sit outside in the beer garden either the front or at the back of the pub. it's a very relaxing atmosphere and the landlord and bar staff are very welcoming. Steak night on a Thursday and a curry night every Friday. The food is really nice and they have lots of choices on their menu. You should try there hot and spicy chicken burger with fries and gravy.

Unfortunately the service was poor. The staff were miserable and a woman called Amy was extremely rude, and probably racist. She spoke down to me and was vile. The food wasn’t anything special and the atmosphere was miserable. I won’t be going there again and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Lovely building and kept nicely inside but the food is just a massive let down, went with large party and most of us felt our meals tasted like microwave meals, and some of us left hungry. Staff weren't particularly attentive either, we ordered through the app as we had no idea if anyone was going to come and take our order.

Fantastic pub . Good food and great range of drinks . Staff wonderful... since the refurbishment, which is lovely by the way.. the food has improved even more... the new curry dishes are lovely too... really tasty. The fish and chips is excellent 👌 really lovely. My hubby has the mixed grill it is lovely lots of different meats on it very filling ... the staff work so hard the place is really busy Saturday early evening with diner's... that shows how popular it is. Chris and Dan are always happy to see you xnd will take time to come and welcome you back. Lovely service and great ambience.

Met up with childhood friends for a much needed catch up after my surgery. Had late lunch/early tea. Always good value. Always enjoyable food. Great atmosphere. Fab staff, especially Dan on this occasion. Friends had cheeky cocktails. Our go to place!

Had the most amazing night with family and friends at The Fairfield Arms, thanks to Chris and his amazing team making our fundraising night so special Chris and team really understand what it means to be part of the community we are so lucky to have this beautiful pub in our town. Ordered online. So sorry to say disappointed never tasted a Sunday Roast this bad and with such cheap quality. Other places have larger portions and better quality. Chicken looked boiled. Potatoes tasted like ones from freezer (not homemade). Veg was very salty and hard with mainly leeks. Watery gravy. Even stuffing left a sticky film fatty texture. Not good at all esp for the price.

First time I was here the food took ages (which I can tolerate) but then had to go find staff as they had not put cutlery out for us at the point of recieving the food, went again recently, won't judge a place for one bad experience but once again food took ages, one girl holding down the entire place by the looks of things and she looked incredibly stressed, paid a pretty decent amount of money for loaded nachos and some chicken strips, the nachos took about an hour to arrive and were those cheap salted peppery ones you get for 50p at Tesco and the chicken strips were incredibly thin and if I remember correctly processed chicken not actual breast, honestly not worth the money here, the restaurant itself is nice aesthetically but they need to sort their staffing situation and dish out better quality for the price they charge, you could pay a third of that at a Wetherspoons and get better quality food

The food was good, but the first time we waited over 50 minutes, and now it's 45 minutes and we're still waiting. The tea has long since cooled down and there is no food in sight.

Food was barely edible. Chicken was rock solid and so dry. The veg side was a dish of soggy undercooked cabbage and 2 slices of leek, chips cold and hard, obviously cooked from frozen. Would never order again

First time visiting was ok nice pub food was what I expected so it lived up to what I thought it would be, a lot of mediocre pubs around this fits in that bracket but also it’s not a horrible place and I would go back.

I work in hospitality and have been meaning to visit the Fairfield Arms for years after being recommended to go. I moved from the area years ago and never had the chance until today when we decided to do a walk in for some lunch. What I thought was great: Plenty of choice for seating. Walk ins accepted, no booking necessary. Lots of amazing options on the menu. Fantastic lunch deals. Table was clean and cutlery presented straight away. Check back completed with a friendly smile. Food was delicious!!! There was a slip with the cutlery with who was on the FOH and Kitchen - which I thought was a nice touch! Easy QR code to leave a review. Friendly staff (We came with my dementia mother in law who was unintentionally rude to one of the servers. He handled the situation really well and shook off the insult she had given him and accepted our apologies at the end. We couldn’t have apologised enough and felt awful as we are limited to taking her anywhere now without her causing a scene. So credit to the staff member, we didn’t catch his name, he handled it like a boss). What could be improved: We ordered apple crumble for desert and was told once after we ordered that there was none but was given the option for something else. Only thing I could suggest is, maybe informing the customer when ordering at the till of low stock or no longer an option on the menu etc. Other than that, everything else was great! Really impressed.

First time visit for me. Weekend afternoon and not many staff around. Had to wait 10 mins for someone to attend the bar after asking was anyone serving. Table booked for 3pm and was served 1st course at 4.40pm. Yes there were 10 of us, when we wanted to ask a certain question was told that "I've given you a pad to write out your order out and haven't got time for this' so damn rude. I certainly won't be going back there

complete waste of £30 for two Sunday roast lunches, hardly any veg three roast potatoes, a chicken leg and two pieces of gammon with an inch of fat around the top, will not be ordering again.
