Went here at the weekend on Friday! Wow.....amazing people! Next time I am going here (back to my old roots) I am visiting this place for sure! I tried to find my way back but I was so drunk and lost ended up crashing at my hotel pmsl.

Pub with karaoke. I can't rate the food, since we went for beers. The atmosphere, at least Friday and Saturday, is incredible. People of all ages, very friendly and happy (probably due to the alcohol), and a very healthy environment. Super recommended experience if you like to party.

Great time, was had here. The owner was mingling saying hello. He was really friendly and welcoming, he felt like a family friend. Will definitely be going again, definitely! The karaoke is fabulous!

I went to karaoke night. I had a great time!! Typical traditional English place, nice furniture and good atmosphere.

Completely crazy place. Perfect to drink a good beer while listening to the English give themselves karaoke!

Food .. well nothing as good as pub crisps and nuts while having a few beers and great craic ... Age group was just brilliant in this place . People just out to enjoy themselves with no judgement.. singing .. some good .. some terrible but who cared .. NO ONE ... A definite place to call to if you around Manchester ..

Blatantly homophobic and racist bouncers, and completely imbecilic management. Turned away a couple because one of them had a foreign passport, even though it was in date and had both her name and her face on there. She also speaks better English than the pair of them put together. But it was clear from the start the passport was just an excuse, and the real reason was the type of couple they are. Rude from the get go, and stooped to calling the couple names, even though all they wanted was to try a Manchester institution with their partner as a born-and-bred Manc. Have told everyone not to go there and why, giving JW Lees a bad name. We’ve lived in the same town as their brewery for 20 years now and always loved their pubs. Get some better bouncers.

This is definitely the best pub in Manchester..laugh a minute.. and a great karaoke.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the behavior I encountered at this pub. The security guard at the entrance was not only rude but also sarcastic. While there were people inside wearing casual sportswear, he singled out my friend’s North Face pants, dismissively referring to them as "work trousers" and even physically touching them. This was completely inappropriate. Despite my polite explanation of what the pants actually were, he continued to deny us entry, maintaining a condescending attitude, even though we were both dressed appropriately. It is concerning to see staff members who seem to take out their personal issues on visitors, especially those who are traveling from abroad. Such behavior is unprofessional and does not reflect well on your establishment. Having worked in the hospitality industry for many years in various international settings, I can confidently say that this was one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful encounters I have ever witnessed, let alone experienced myself. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I hope you take this feedback seriously in order to improve your guest experience.

Muy buen pub tradicional en el centro de la ciudad, hay un montón de bares de cócteles y lugares temáticos, etc alrededor del centro de la ciudad, ninguno de ellos tiene el ambiente que este pub tiene, siempre está ocupado, karaoke, buena música. Sólo una gran vibra general.

Shit hole, bog floors always flooded and stink of piss and the pub is always rammed to the point you can’t walk anywhere without spilling most of your drink. Go somewhere better, it’s not difficult

Is this Manchester's premiere venue for karaoke ? It very well may be. We were walking by one night & were quickly drawn in by the music we heard wafting through the open window. We ordered a couple pints and sat back to listen to the singers. Our take away: these folks know how to sing ! They had confidence & knew how to belt out a song (Prince was quite popular). The pub had a real good vibe. Folks were enjoying a birthday party. They cheered when their friends sang. The regular patrons made us feel very welcomed. Millstone is a solid choice in the Northern Quarter for a pint & a tune !

Fantastic experience. I found this venue on Facebook. The primary reason, to sing my socks off with a good crowd off people. That was exactly what I found. As a complete stranger I was given encouragement and made to feel welcome. The karaoke DJ, bar staff and bouncers all receive 👍🏾👍🏾😁

Realmente no creo que haya ningún otro pub en Manchester como este y siempre disfrutamos de nuestras visitas allí. A pesar de que era temprano un jueves por la tarde todavía estaba lleno y el karaoke iba a toda marcha. Es surrealista, ya que es casi como un mundo diferente con una generación mayor de personas que son amigables, sonrientes y muy divertidas. El servicio siempre es muy bueno, de hecho, siendo amable y profesional y los precios de las bebidas son razonables para el centro de la ciudad. Trate de conseguir una mesa en la parte delantera en la ventana y se puede ver todo lo que sucede en el barrio norte mientras disfruta de una bebida o dos y toda una gama de personas cantando!

The food was ok, like totally fine but nothing special. Staff were lovely and the pub is beautiful, in a really nice part of the world.

Good atmosphere on a Saturday night, staff friendly, the lager tasted a bit off but good crowd and good service made up for it. Didn't try food, gave two stars for the carlsberg as the other beer I wanted was not available as listed on the pump.

Lived away from the North West for over 50 years. I’m nearly 70 & I’ve been doing pub crawls around central Manchester looking for good old style Boozers serving traditional beers not the Micro Brewery crap with fancy stupid names. Had a pint of Lees bitter here. Is up there with one of the best pints in the last 50 years! Open to suggestions for good boozers serving traditional brewery beers in Central Manchester for my future crawls. Cheers!

This traditional pub is located in the trendy northern quarter. We called in early on a hot day when it was relatively empty. We very much enjoyed sitting by the open French doors overlooking the street. We had two small bottles of prosecco which were well priced at £5.20 each.

Ignored repeatedly by 6pm karaoke dj. Thinks he's clever. Several visits. Lost slip. Mistaken name. Wrong number entered. Being a sick. Prejudiced clique. Disgusting since I go regularly. No more. Don't go here if you value the concept of a queue

The most fun to be had in a pub, karaoke 3 till 10.30 everyday with so many talented singers. Lovely owners who make all feel very welcome, fabulous bar staff and a top bloke on the door to keep the riff raff away. Great community feel x

The doorman working Sat 20th July evening needs training in both respect and the understanding that some people have disabilities which can be confused with other things. Example having a condition Bells Palsy which can disfigure your face and cause occasional slurring of words. My friend was refused entry on her birthday and accused of being drunk. Having to explain her condition was upsetting and mortifying in front of others. You should be ashamed.

The door men at this pub need to be re trained to recognise a genuine form of I.D,on many occasions trying to enter the premises,my friend who is 22,gets asked for proof of age,he then presents them with a UK government APPROVED card (this is approved by the home office by the way, complete with hologram to prove it's genuine and not a copy) but still gets refused.well,I know door men are minimum wage,so if you pay them peanuts, you get monkeys.come on millstone,train your monkeys up!

We're currently visiting Manchester! The loveliest pub ever! The ladies behind the bar are so welcoming, and new prosecco glasses! The landlord introduced himself which was a fab touch! Great prices also and the friendliest of locals we've not stopped talking! Definitely recommend! Xxx

I started my drinking days in here in 1980. Came in again in 2001, then again yesterday, it's changed a lot but still a fantastic pub. Loads going on including karaoke, bar staff really good.

Highly recommend! The owner was so welcoming and the staff too. I definitely must come and visit very soon again because this pub is one of the best experiences I had in Manchester. Thank you all

Located right in the centre of the northern Quarter this is definitely an outlier in the kind of bars that are there. It is a fantastic pub with lots of character and is almost impossible to describe really as it is so unique. For a start, it's the only pub I've ever been in and there has definitely been a lot of those! Where the landlord comes in personally introduces himself to you. Jed is a terrific guy and he really cares about you having a good time in his pub which we always do. Karaoke is the name of the game here and you get some really good people in all times of the day singing all the tunes at the top of their voices. This creates great entertainment and laughs along the way. they have a good range of drinks at reasonable prices for the city centre and the services is always fast and friendly. If you want something different this place could definitely be the answer and I would certainly give it a try if I was you.

I was brought to The Millstone by family members on a Thursday night. The place was quite full and the karaoke was in full swing. The bar is old but the atmosphere was great and I really enjoyed the visit and the entertainment. To be recommended.

This place is actually quite nice lovely roof terrace lots of different rooms but does attract a. It of a EDL crowd sometimes, the staff are nice but if you're a person of colour and you walk in here your gonna get a lot of looks for sure But I guess that's just football types

what has happened to this gem ?? we was in there for a night of music and dance ,it was so terrible we left immediatley after purchasing a drink .. we were greeted by sour faced bar staff and knocked off our feet by glass collectors more than once. rude rude staff who basically stated on asking a question , I dont give a @@@@@!, i could not see the fire exits of the extent of people iin the place nor could i access the toilet before i left, overcrowded is not the word, it was uncomfotable to say the leaste.the customers themselves were really helpful at directing us out.however the staff were 0bnoxious and rude. basically they did not care for your wellbing or safety,just wanted to pull pints and get your cash. it was i think a karaoke night not sure really as you couldnt see but you could here something.i will not be returnng.!!!!

What a fabulous night! Came to Manchester to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our anniversary . We wanted to karaoke, but didn’t want to go to a venue with booths or had bad reviews. A group of locals on Saturday afternoon told us about The Millstone. We went at 9 o’clock and ended up spending the whole night. The venue is a traditional pub, which caters for a varied clientele of all ages. The place was inexpensive, the staff were very welcoming even when busy. The process for getting to sing was very simple, it wasn’t long queues. For anyone wishing to Karaoke in Manchester on a Saturday night, The Millstone should be your go to venue👌🏾🙏🏾❤️

A traditional and charming pub is situated in the heart of Manchester. It is located in the Northern Quarter and has managed to preserve its unique character, in contrast to many other establishments in the area.

The Millstone not everyone's cup of tea. Personally I think this is a really nice pub, great staff and service. It's clean and tidy and full of characters. If you have never tried the Millstone give it a go you will not be sorry.
