Food was incredible, as per usual, and the staff are always so attentive and friendly. Brilliant atmosphere! I ordered 3 of the small plates and there was more than enough for me, it all tasted incredible and then for dessert, the pavlova was to die for! Special mention to the staff members on tonight (waitresses, bar staff and the manager) who were extra welcoming to my puppy Bodhi, he loved the cuddles and treats! Unfortunately Bodhi was sick in the bar area, I felt so awful and embarrassed about it however the staff were so kind about the situation and helped me clean it. Thank you so much for being so understanding!!!

We booked the private dining room for our wedding day. The service was excellent as was the food. Between 15 of us we must of ordered most of the menu and not one person had a single issue. Service was prompt and everyone was served together. I three distinct sittings. We were allowed early access to the venue to set up our room. The night before and clear it the morning after which was incredibly helpful. We also had 4 young children with us. We asked for a separate play table for them which was accommodated and kept the children happy. There was also a big tv in the room so we could stream tv as the kids got bored. We had a lovely day and a lovely meal after our wedding. Couldn't have asked for a better venue.

Would be lovely with some live music. 😀

we have been here on several occasions, but this time im afraid will be the last for a while we were a group of seven and the food was poor the Sunday roast beef option the beef was very stringy and the ribeye was also poor the roast potatoes were so hard they were probably there from last Sunday we really should have complained more at the time,

The food is good. We have been coming here for our special dates for over a year. After we got married we came here with our immediate family for a meal. And it was an obvious choice for our anniversary. The staff are great and it's a nice atmosphere.

Been here 3-4 times since they opened. Never a problem and always enjoyed. Lovely 3 course meal of celery and potato soup, arancini, duo lamb, pasta, ice cream and plant pot. All very nice. Arancini excellent. Lamb cooked perfectly. All well balanced. 1 alcoholic and 1 non alcoholic cocktail and 2 glasses of wine. Staff attentive. It was quiet and used the 30% discount. 10 added to the bill for service. I’m not a fan of that, but was worth it. In fact I left an extra fiver

Heard really good reviews of this place so thought would give it a try lovely decor and staff but unfortunately that’s where it ended the food was cold to start had to be sent back very apologetic manager but not good enough we were told lots of menu options not available as they been busy over festive period great greeting and then the kids food options has no veg options at all …. The shepherds pie was very bland and the mac and cheseee also had no taste. Sorry you will have to better to gain another visit from me as I drove over 30 miles to visit will be sticking to the Ribble valley from now on

Went for a roast dinner. I didn't know it was possible for a lamb shank to be that dry. No question of if I wanted any sauces when the food was brought over. It took me asking 3 times for mint sauce before it was brought over. 10 percent service charge added to the bill. I typically tip anyway but don't force it on me when the food and the service was abysmal.

Really nice food, great service but the men’s toilets cleanliness under the hand drier leaves a lot to be desired. Needs a good clean, repaint and some stainless steal underneath.

🎄CHRISTMAS DAY AT EWE🎄 I celebrated Christmas with my family at Ewe for my first ever Christmas dinner out, and it was perfect! The team welcomed us warmly, with exceptional service throughout our visit. The venue looked magical, fully decked with festive decor and a stunning Christmas tree. The food was nothing short of amazing. From the fresh prawn cocktail and perfectly prepared beetroot carpaccio to a juicy turkey dinner served with generous portions, every bite impressed. Desserts were an absolute dream, with my chocolate and cherry delice being the perfect sweet finale, creamy and rich. With Santa hats, crackers, and coffee served with homemade mince pies, the festive touches were endless. We rounded out our day sipping Prosecco by the tree after our meal, which was everything I could’ve hoped for. We have been here on many occasions and it's always been mostly pleasant. The food is generally good along with the atmosphere but the service or staff can be hot and miss with some members of staff much more pleasant and polite than others. If the food wasn't of a decent variety I don't think I would of returned. Worth a go.

Returning from a fresh food shopping trip to Bolton market we thought we would give this place a try. Big mistake. First of all, the menu leads you to believe you have to pay a minimum of £19.95 for two courses when, in fact, you can order just one course. There is no price for this on the menu and we had to confirm what it was (£14.95). We ordered garlic bread (additional £8) and two bowls of pasta and requested they came together. They didn’t. The garlic bread was not freshly made and probably a bulk buy from their wholesaler just stuck under the grill for a minute. The pasta arrived 10 minutes later and was cold on the outside and tepid in the middle – clearly it had stood around for a while. Nobody around to discuss the issue with. Nobody came to check if everything was OK. We ate what we could and exited as quick as we could. BTW – they add 10% for ‘service’. Shame we didn’t get any. £42 for a £2 supermarket garlic bread, two bowls of cold pasta and no drinks. Yum. There are lots of much better places to eat, local to this place, where the food is cheaper and considerably better. Search them out and avoid this place like the plague.

What a shame it's so nicely decorated food was cold and I had belly ache afterwards don't think I'll be returning too expensive as well. Although staff are lovely and it's nicely decorated won't be returning ten pounds for a small plate is far too much as well

Staff was rude spent 500 for a 30th kept getting told to be quiet for laughing won't be coming back made to feel not welcome absolute joke was booked for a 30th birthday and wasn't even allowed to laugh

The choice of dishes is very poor. The establishment has nothing to attract. The prices are definitely too high!!! The pizza is no different from the one we buy in the supermarket, only it is very small and designed for one person. The cocktail is in a glass full of ice and when I take it out there is only 1/4 of the cocktail left in the glass... It turns out I am paying over £10 for ice and they don't ask me if I want it or not. The large canape of chicken liver pate was no different from the store bought pate in terms of weight. It was simply strewn with flowers. It is obvious that the restaurant does not strive to feed its guests well. The food is mediocre, like from stores, only 3-4 times more expensive! The cocktail is just a full glass of ice and a little drink at the bottom! I do not recommend this place! And yes, guys, why do you brazenly add tips??? If a person is happy with the food and service, he will still leave a tip... But if he is not happy, then why should he leave a tip????

Terrible worst Sunday roast I’ve ever had. Pork belly was terrible.

A very decent restaurant. Nice environment. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is great! Definitely gonna visit again! Must try the slow-roasted pork belly. Skip the fats and eat the crispy glazed pork skin together with the lean meat with cranberry sauce and gravy. Yummy 😊

What can I say about this place other than fantastic. We've visited this place over 10 different times for different occasions. The service and food has been faultless, we obviously love the roasts they do here on a Sunday too. This is one of our favourite restaurants to go to now. Please never change!

Mid week the atmosphere is great and relaxing, quite lively at a weekend. we have had 1 bad service experience previously however, this seems to have been rectified which is great. Menu has a lot of choice and they will accommodate dietary requirements too. Hope it continues to grow in strength!

We ate early (6pm) on a Friday night. I ordered Chicken supreme which said it came with a red lentil dahl. The chicken was ok but the dahl was so spicy I wasn't enjoying it. I am a regular curry eater so I was surprised I was finding this so spicy. Maybe a bad choice on my part, but if a dish is super spicy,it would be good to be warned when ordering. My daughters pizza looked good. My friend ordered the steamed cod which looked nice, if maybe a bit small for money? Check your bill closely, we had been billed for alcohol when we all had soft drinks

The beef wellington is outstanding. The service is always spot on. They usually have some live artist on the at the weekend so it's nice to sit in the bar before or after a meal.

At first I thought I'd paid £50 for one tiny steak for me and my wife but the waiter told me it was 'Chateaubriand' and it sounded fancy, so I took a photo of it and sent it to some people I worked with five years ago to show off I thought £4.50 was very reasonable for a coke (I could have got ten for £50) and whilst I had to ask my wife to limit what she ate, I felt like a big man Also, loved how no one criticised Gareth Southgate. Only slight criticism is it wasn't as good as a Frango's

A little disapointed with lunch today. Really bothered with fly's which seemed to be every where. Had the carrot and coriander soup to start which was tasty but far to thick for my liking. I followed this with fish chips and mushy peas. Fish was really nice, not enough peas and chips not good tasted like frozen chips. I would say that my experience today was ok but nothing great unfortunately. The decor and staff who are very attentive, make this restaurant. Would I come back again maybe

Had a 3 course, food was excellent, from starter to desert. The main Rump steak was cooked perfectly. The portions were very generous and very filling. The staff were very professional and always there, the atmosphere was very good. Had a really enjoyable night. Will definitely be coming back.

Our 1st time here, we went around lunch time - so we selected from the lunch menus (more extensive in the evenings) we could not fault the food - everything was perfect, great friendly service and ovely surroundings. We will definitely be back and looking forward to trying the evening menu 😋

Really nice place, friendly atmosphere excellent. Slight delay in getting to the table buy very courteous staff apologetic about that. Food very good, although slightly under seasoned fish, but still very nice. All in all very good.

Sofia , Izzy and Faye looked after me tonight , food was exceptional , everything was cooked and done as I asked , the pairing with the wines was brill , the starter was great , the assistance with the menu was excellent , fine dining at its best , the Sunday lunch was cooked exactly to how I liked it and how I asked , cauliflower cheese was fantastic. Highly recommend , service , food , atmosphere , full package , a really good find.

We visited here for my husbands birthday celebrations. The food was amazing the drinks were flowing and it had a fantastic atmosphere!! The staff even went to the trouble of surprising my husband with a birthday desert!! Definitely recommend to friends and family for celebrations!!

Good restaurant with friendly service and a wide selection of lunch menus at fair prices. Reservations are recommended as it is also busy at lunchtime. The dishes were freshly prepared and the waiting time was surprisingly short. The service was very friendly and helpful. Using credit cards is absolutely hassle-free. A recommendation at any time, whether it's lunch or dinner.

Visited on a Tuesday night for a 60th Birthday. Food was excellent and the setting is really nice and welcoming. Service was a bit slower than I would have liked and took a bit too long to come to us for drinks orders. Chips got forgotten for one of the meals so we had to wait for them to come out. Overall a good experience but unsure of what the service would be like on a packed Saturday.

Had a great meal here on Friday (Ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce and chunky chips), my girlfriend was equally happy with her salmon. Good to have a decent draught IPA and the pianist/singer added to the atmosphere. Excellent service from every member of staff; greeters, bar staff and waiter. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Taken as a birthday celebration by a friend. Sadly only one option on the gf main menu (shepherds pie) and the two usual options ice cream or Eaton Mess for dessert. Boring 🥱 Delightful settings and very clean. Service poor considering at lunch time and not over busy. Sadly I won’t be returning or recommending until gf is highlighted on the menu (not having to sift through every course on a scrap of paper). Fortunately the company was good sadly not the gf options 😢

Delicious food on the meal deal! Huge main portions, but waited awhile and had a pud. Left some of each though, which seemed a shame.

Nice place and staff. Food was a bit of a let down in my opinion. Had the steak baguette and there was very little steak in it - took 2 bits of the bread to reach it. It also wasn't that warm. Chips were cold too and sent back, as were 2 other tables. Hope Usain Bolt had better service

Just returned from your restaurant having booked a table for 4 people for 19.45pm. After waiting 40 minutes for our starter. Left the restaurant at 21.20 after waiting for our main meal and being given excuses due to large party of 40.

1st trip.....Will definitely not be my last. The waitress was both friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and very tasty. Tomato & roasted red pepper soup was hot and very tasty. Followed that with steak frites.....lovely succulent steak and crispy fries. Enjoyed it all! I'll definitely be back.....soon.

I took my son here today for an impromptu lunch and we could not have been happier. From being greeted at the door, to the end of the meal we were made to feel special and welcome. We went to Ewe last night for my daughters 18th birthday meal and we had the most fantastic time, the food and drink was amazing and the staff were lovely, nothing was to much trouble, the decor is absolutely beautiful too, Thankyou Ewe for helping us give my daughter a birthday to remember ❤️xxxx

Came today to celebrate mine and my husbands anniversary as we have come before and enjoyed the food and service, however today was a different story. To begin with we had waited a while to be served. The waitress seemed more interested in the other tables and seemed to completely ignore us which we felt was incredibly rude, we had to call her over when we wanted drinks as we had been sat a while with empty glasses. I ordered the fillet steak, when it came it was over cooked, so I sent it back, the waitress came back over to tell me how I was wrong and it was Medium (the steak was brown with the smallest dot of pink in the middle, Medium is alot more pink) I then showed her how a Medium steak should look. She continued on saying do I want it Medium rare to which I replied no I want it Medium. She continued on and was very condescending. My husband had to eat his meal before it got cold so we was eating at completely different times this was our anniversary we wanted to eat together. There was no apology. When the new steak came, She came to me and said is that better for you. I replied yes it is, thankyou to which she replied well its Medium rare, I thought to myself she is being extremely rude! It was not Medium rare, Medium rare has it slightly rare in the middle this steak was not. I was going to order desert, my husband doesn't eat desert so he had ordered soup to come for when I was going to have desert. After this experience we cancelled his soup and decided to leave early as we both felt extremely uncomfortable. I can understand getting the temperature of steak wrong it happens sometimes, I don't understand the rudness and condescending attitude from the waitress, she has completely ruined mine and my husbands meal.

Visited here last night with my partner. Lovely local restaurant. Ate around 7pm, wasn’t overly busy and service was quick. Highly recommend the Shepherd’s Pie!

Had a meal here last night, found it strange that we couldn't add drinks onto our table bill when we arrived and pretty sure we were overcharged for the drinks. £20 for a single G&T and pint of lager seems a lot! Disappointed with the main meals, fillet steak at £28 came with a tiny salad only and the wrong sauce, felt like I got half a meal and then had to pay extra for the accompaniments to go with it. I expected more with it for £28! Again beef wellington at £35 very expensive for what my wife got.

Waited an hour and a half for "Bottomless pancakes" for them to only bring out 2 pancakes. After speaking to the manager we were "prioritised" and continued to wait a further 30 minutes all the while 2 tables near us had sat down, had starters and a main then left.

Went for my birthday meal, food was absolutely shocking and sent back. No applogies from management, no attempt to make anything right. Over priced plates that need a fortune on sides to make it a meal.

First visit for me and was very impressed , excellent service and couldn't fault the food , had a good choice of beers as well , will definitely be returning

Called in here a couple of weeks ago for lunch. We had not booked and it was not busy. It is quite nice inside, but it was very cold outside. It was not too warm inside either, and there were several electric heaters plugged in near where we had been say, even though there was air on and they could have had it on heating mode. We chose the light lunch options. They were ok but not really as expected. Might be different at night with a full restaurant and background heat on. I think it is a bit overpriced compared to other restaurants but that is my opinion. Plenty of parking spaces though, so no problem there.

Some of the nicest food I’ve ever had. And to have this locally is amazing! Definitely a special occasion type of place however worth every penny! Service, food and atmosphere I cannot fault in the slightest. A table of 4 and everybody was 100% happy and impressed with their food. Well done Ewe

The venue and food were perfect, beautifully decorated and the food was of a very high standard. My only gripe was receiving a service charge on my bill of 10%, of which no prior notice is given. I usually decide my tip based on the service given, I certainly don't like being forced into paying it, how very American! For this reason, we wouldn't eat here again which is a shame.

First visit and definitely won’t be the last. Food and service were excellent. A good selection of wines, and nice to enjoy a cocktail in the bar afterwards.Already looking forward to our next visit

4.5star. Lovely restaurant, the food was fantastic especially dessert, everybody enjoyed their meal. I'd personally like a bigger list of red wines. Only downside was a service charge on the bill, I'd rather not be told what my tip will be but overall very good!

Every visit has lived up to our expectations

Food was good and the service was attentive. The desserts were particularly good. Loud music with other diners trying to talk over the music made it especially loud, so it was hard to talk at the table. This rather spoilt what would otherwise have been a 5 star review.

A great lunch/dinner spot just off the M61. We met friends on our way down South and the food was lovely (particularly the bread and butter pudding, and Fish & Chips!). It was gorgeously decorated for Christmas and the staff were very welcoming. The Roast Dinner is well recommended by my friends’ too!

Went over last wednesday for lunch with my friend, the soup was delicious and plentyfull.we had fish and chips just right size fish and chips.which we couldnt get through as filled from the soup.the staff were really nice.and the restataunt was spotless we had the lunch menu for set price.will be back.

Gorgeous place, real feel of elegance about it! Food was of a very high standard and presentation was superb! Service was a little slow but to be honest it was really nice to not feel rushed! Felt very welcome here and will defo be returning! Was here for 3 hours (3 course meal and a cocktail to finish). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had a perfect experience at Ewe's for our 'Ladies that lunch' Christmas lunch. The food was delicious. We had Christmas dinner and desserts. We also sampled the mocktails.... delicious. Service, friendly, efficient and quick.

I had Fish and Chips here on a Friday. The Fish was luscious, beautifully cooked, flaky, thick creamy flesh with a beautiful batter. Fabulous. The service was pleasant and attentive. No issues. Loos were clean and nice handwash liquids provided. Good parking and plenty of space. Cosy and warm interior, very nicely decorated for Christmas.

Special birthday meal booked for my Mother based on the excellent reviews online. Table booked for 8:30 but we were informed to arrive at 8:15 which we did. Upon arrival we checked in at reception with our name; we were told our table wasn't quite ready but to sit in the bar and wait (not an uncommon practice). First issue arose when the bar did not have either a draft nor a bottle cider made from apples but settled on two pints of Budweiser and a bottle of non-alcoholic beer (priced at over £16 which seems a bit steep). Sat at a table in plain sight of reception and the wait staff, half past comes and goes, we then became aware of the fact people who arrived after us were being seated whilst we still waited. The person who booked our table checked his phone (for the time) at this point and was greeted with missed calls (unable to be heard due to the blaring music in the bar) from the restaurant despite us booking in and sitting there. When we flagged a member of staff down, they stated they must have forgotten to actually mark us off as being there and they'd prepare a table for us now. At this point it was nearly 9pm (8:55pm to be more precise) so we left. I will say the staff member was very apologetic but not sure this standard of service is acceptable as a whole

Went last night to a wreath making class, the guys from the flower shop and the wreath making itself was amazing but the venue let it down. We were served sparkling perry, tasted like the cheapest you could get, when we had paid for Prosecco, the nibble board was between 2 and the serving size was really small, plus the quality was very poor too. Not what I’d have expected from Ewe.

The only thing I could say if it's a cold day don't sit near the entrance door. X food service decor everything was great
