Always enjoy popping in "for a quick one". Food and drink are great and the staff are lovely. In fact, it sometimes seems a bit like the "Cheers" bar 🍻 We were served by John today, who went over and above to look after us 😃

Looking for food after a competition in Bolton. After trying a few places The Red Lion was the only pub local to our Hotel doing food after 8. Food was good, speed of service was very good. (It was quiet) Prices were also pretty good for the modern day. Overall very impressed. Would recommend and will look to head back here in the future.

Everyday Monday at Red Lion is smartphone quiz night. The quiz starts at 8pm, free to play and lots of fun. The staff here are really friendly and the food is really good. They have some great food and drink deals here which on a Monday include Grill Monday and a Pub Classics meal deal.

came for saturday night gin & catch up with my friend. steak was cooked & seasoned just how i asked. chips and peas pipping hot. all staff i came in contact with were lovely young gent behind the bar was very helpful in advising us which gin to try. bonus the wacky for the little ones to run around in before tea.will defiantly be back

First time at the Red Lion for a quick bite to eat and it didn't disappoint. A lovely chilled, quiet vibe on a Tuesday evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious. Hope to return soon 😃

We visited hear last night food was really nice apart from one member of staff who was rude and didn't give us what we ordered so when he was approached it was like a big effort to get the order right with no apology we was sat at a table that was for someone else when approached the staff was not bothered I understand that it was busy but there was no need for some of the staff to be rude

The service was horrendous the guy at the bar had bad attitude I ordered a millionair chocolate brownie and he said he will order me a kids one as it's cheaper but there was no children with us and I said I wanted a brownie so order the children's one that I didn't want it. I recommend the food but the service is bad .

The food was lovely, the dessert was also! Even though the horseshoe donut was out of stock! However our server Lewis recommended when I can find it in stock and be able to try it! He was very attentive and friendly and went above ablnd beyond to make our dining experience 5 star! Thank you Lewis!

Very quiet, food is average and it needs a refurb..paint peeling, walls are stained with drink spills and stained chairs

Great place to have food and drinks, cheap and cheerful and the staff are very friendly only drawback is there is no sky sport's on anymore.

The food was really good, the wait time wasn't too long. I think it's good value for money. Staff were lovely! The portions were quite big took some of those sliders home. 4 stars for the atmosphere because the place (especially the ceiling) needs some TLC.

Free parking. The pub felt a bit dated, but we wasn’t there for the decor The food was ok, but nothing to shout home about.

Unwelcoming visit staff stood talking to eachother while waiting to be seated to be told just sit where you want.... Ordered though the app seating looked scruffy and my arm stuck to the table... Food was terrible at best both dinners mine was dried out and the chips you could tell just come out the freezer so they get left... Meat was dried out and the sausages didn't even taste like sausage.... I've eaten some rubbish over the year but today's visit is probably the worst food ever ever paid for

Food once it came right was standard. Multiple food orders came incorrect. Beer did not taste good. There was a constant smell of cigarette smoke. Yes this is a pub but it's also a family "restaurant". A hair wash found in one of the children's ice-cream before was given to the child. One child was given half frozen half cooked corn on the cob. I definitely will not be going back in a hurry.

Came here with my partner, son and mother in law on 05/09/24 and had a really good time. My son really enjoyed the wacky play on a tots pass and it was clean and well organised. After softplay we went across to the main pub for our meals. The food was hot and tasty and came exactly as ordered even with special requests. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a lovely experience and we look forward to next time!

Came in the other day for a family meal, the food was great and Lisa our waitress was so lovely and friendly, will be coming back again soon!

I took my mother in law out for lunch , lovely place been before always been happy, staff very welcoming but not over baring, very clean place and spacious, full marks for staff so nice , had fish and chips rather disappointed felt the fish was over cooked , chips was alright mushy peas where perfect , yeah the fish was dry inside more crumbling texture then flaking, may of just been a one off and would definatly go again as normally I do not have any complaints, food normally really good, I would say next time I go I will try their burgers seen a few people eating them and they looked amazing and good value for money

Food was great, service from lisa was perfect really helpful, Had our child with us, Lisa came over with colouring pens and sheets and gave him a teady bear and his face had a big smile really impressed.

The food here is okay, the wacky warehouse is filthy and was overpriced. The service was a let down - get your own cutlery, sauces and make your way to your own table - not something I'm a massive fan of. The food was alright and what you would expect from the chain.

Lovely food. There was a little hiccup with our order and a lovely member of staff named Lisa rectified the problem. She was very attentive without being overbearing. There should be more Lisa's around.

Came today booked at 1815 for 5 people have to say unfortunately very let down Servce and atmospher was not the best waiters/waitress meant to show your seat instead got told instead table is the middle my partner changed his food the lady on the bar didnt seem best please and simply getting food not getting offered any cutlery. Food was just warm hard and undercooked desert looked a complete mess and nothing like the pic to be told people pinched the ice cream glasses. Only postive is the drinks Unfortunately we wont be coming back sorry

Booked a table for 6 people, The table we had Booked had been give to someone else, The member of staff just shrugged and said pick another one, told a 40 minute wait for food, She was on her own. Serving drinks food orders and complaints. ! Some of the food was burnt, mine was Luke warm. !!!

Lovely food! Called in for breakfast the morning after the England match, bonus being it was dead and we got served quick. Staff on were lovely and that first coffee was amazing. Ps, we didn't watch the football so this wasn't a hangover breakfast. Steak and eggs was awesome but PLEASE ask about the piri piri sauce and don't just put it all over a steak. I had to wipe it off as it potentially spoiled the meal, but u salvaged it! Yum 😋

Went for a birthday get together middle of October 2016 with friends and their children. Great experience. Food hot and tasty and very affordable. Staff were friendly and genuinely seemed to care about us. We all liked the new refurbishment. Much cleaner environment and the TVs with disney movies were a hit with the children! This isn't an expensive restaurant, it's a cheap to mid range menu yet we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to all the staff for making my celebration so great!

The food was great, much better than when I visited a few years ago and the staff were very nice, the only thing this place needs to be a great place to eat is remodeling inside, it feels very cramped and half built.

We really enjoyed the excellent food. We complimented this and was told the cheif was Tina. Large potions and steak cooked to perfection. We would also like to praise the very helpful and friendly barstaff Daniel. We look forward to returning.
