probs nice if ur straight but was hella homophobic to my mates and i after the trans march, made us remove our badges before we came in and continued to harrass us for standing and exisiting

We stayed in the hotel, which was great. It is very quiet given the location. Breakfast was good, dinner was better and very good! We highly recommend! Good beer selection as it is a fullers pub.

Busy pub with limited parking space. Choice of food which is reasonable & one has got to be careful of not being overcharged for any drinks. 21.3.22 Management has changed & who need to become familiar with any offers being promoted on behalf of the pub! Friendly staff. 23.3.22 Apparently no staff to cook food & customers are kept waiting with dirty tables & bar! Unacceptable. No point in providing meal vouchers if they can't be used! Toilets 🚻 need to be kept clean & smelling fresh. 22.11.22 & 28.2.23 Tasty food served by friendly staff in ambient surroundings. Some items on the menu were not available! 29.4.33 The tables need cleaning & clearing up, as do the toilets! Bright & lively atmosphere. 22.11.23 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a clean environment, however, the stinking toilets 🚻 & corridors need cleaning & freshening up! 6.3.24 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a cosy atmosphere. However , the toilets & corridor are overcome by the overpowering stench of urine! 3.12.24 Tasty Burger & chips served by friendly staff in a clean & warm environment. 3.3.25 Tasty Ultimate Burger & Chips served by friendly staff in a clean & cosy environment. 13.3.25 Tasty soup, fish & chips 🍟 with bread & butter 🧈 served in a clean & warm musical environment by friendly staff. 16.4.25 Tasty tomato soup 🍲 & maple 🍁 stack burger & chips with gravy served by friendly staff in a clean environment.

Look, it’s a cosy little pub with an okay-ish beer garden- free parking (very limited) space, bit out of the way, you’ll have a laugh if your with a group. I tried the food in the past, bang average and REALLY EXPENSIVE. The price of the beers and wines are ridiculous and they don’t even taste nice for the central London price you pay. Except for the Guiness, that’s below average, one of the worst pint’s of Guiness I’ve ever drank and paid nearly £15 quid for 2. If it wasn’t for the extortionate prices it would seem a little more appealing but I don’t want to waist my money there again. Has the potential to be a great pub but whatever system they’ve got on their alcohol needs to change because the beers taste like ****. Either lower your prices or up the quality.

Nice garden centre for all your garden needs

I had the Green goddess salad with chicken and can honestly say it was the best salad I have EVER had, you must go here! The service was amazing and Jane our waitress was so lovely! Will definitely be back!

I do love having my lunch here. Even on my own, it's very cosy. Shame it's closed for refurbishment.

We started with a nice drink and were enjoying the place. When we went back up and asked for a Southern Comfort, the big bearded barman sneered at us like we’d personally offended him. He made my partner feel really small and kept shaking his head and pulling faces for everyone to see — it was rude, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. I cancelled the drinks and we went elsewhere. I regret not calling him out on it there and then, but this review will have to do. Lovely pub, great setting — ruined by a barman with a bad attitude.

Great pub to watch the six nations, good choice of beer, great atmosphere.

Arrived on a sunday morning staff were on a go slow got two breakfasts brought to the table took the staff five minutes to bring cutlery no butter for toast sausages were cold and undercooked i wont be going back here

AVOID - we stayed in the Premier Inn next door and hadn't realised that the Grapes was no longer a Beefeater. The decor is still Beefeater themed but upon closer inspection it was clearer that the Premier Inn were in charge. By the time we saw the menu we couldn't be bothered to find an alternative - alternative was certainly a good description for the male waiter who behaved very strangely. We were the only customers and food (barely edible) arrived 40 minutes later and cold. Our complaints (also incomplete but charged) were ignored. Something we never do but will be putting in a written complaint.
