The best restaurants serving British food in London

This is our local pub, it has a great atmosphere, but after having a Sunday roast previously and a burger today the food is not as good as in the past. It is such a shame, a dissappointment.

The Adelaide doesn’t even look much like a pub from the outside but go in and it’s very traditional. We went for Sunday lunch and were very impressed. The quality of the vegetables was especially good, a tricky thing to achieve with a traditional roast. And it was very good value. Two and a bottle of wine came to £35 a head. There us also a lovely garden but it might be a while before it’s warm enough to eat out. We are planning another visit before then.

Very easy to plan event and good contact from staff. Staff on the night were really helpful and layout of rooms is great for mixed age crowd.

Had a lovely Sunday Roast, great food and service

Sunday roast really good. Attentive waitress and individual bills, that's such a bonus when you go in a group.

Stayed in one of their rooms for a week-long work trip. Fantastic location - perfect, central with Liverpool St Station across the road for super easy access to Heathrow. Good sized room with modern fit out and a good work desk. Communal pantry (at no extra cost) was a godsend with jetlag. In-room wifi was poor though and I didn't see anyone checking in or out which is fine but it's not quite a hotel for better and worse. Will definitely stay here again.

Very expensive food, small portions, not great quality, and not good value in all honesty. Staff are lovely. I’m very local, and although I use it fairly regularly, there is a limit now for how much this will continue. Drink prices are top of pretty much all pubs locally too. Everyone I know pretty much says the same thing, with some now exploring new options locally. It’s convenient and has a nice atmosphere, but a price check is in dire need.

Terrible uninspiring recipes, hardly “Middle Eastern”

Honestly, I've been really disappointed with this place recently. The food is expensive and the quality is usually quite good which is why I go here. It's a beautiful place and it's worth paying for. Put the last few times I've been here. The food has taken a really long time. The waiter took 30 minutes to even take our order yesterday. When the food did come it was oily, bland and overcooked. At 90 pound for 1 starter and 1 main course, with a couple of drinks, I expect quality to be much better than that. I also asked the waiter on three separate occasions over more than half an hour for a drink. In the end I actually gave up. Really disappointed

El personal es encantador, descarado y receptivo en este bar de champán abierto. Detectan tu tipo y adaptan su enfoque a ti sin un movimiento, lo que es divertido. Fui allí dos veces. Una vez en nuestro regreso de Canterbury y 2 días después para ver a un entrenador en el Eurostar a París. La primera vez, mi esposa tomó un Martini – frío, limpio con un toque de limón y yo tuve un Noam – un diseñador pilsner de Munich – frío y en un tanque de vidrio de alta gama. El cóctel fue de £ 14 y la cerveza de £ 8 – Todo el valor decente para sentarse allí durante el tiempo que desee mientras disfruta de la arquitectura y el ambiente de la calle Pancras Station. Si tienes tiempo entre trenes y quieres levantarte el ánimo, charla con un amigo y siéntete un poco especial, entonces toma un taburete, interactúa con el agradable personal del bar y comienza. Recomendado.

Our first time visiting this wonderful place and being "out of towners" were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received at the door by James ( nice touch) . The reception, feel, general atmosphere was great and the Sunday dinner was beautiful and well needed. We'll 100% be back on our next visit. Thank you James to you and your lovely staff 😊

I ordered fish and chips and a kebab portions were vast ,would have one fish and chips for two people . Curry sauce thick and gloopy, mushy peas ok. Had to construct kebab myself, pitta not cooked and dry foil container with meat salad in a plastic container and two tiny containers of chilli sauce and garlic sauce. They didn’t ask me what sauces I wanted or salad and just gave me it all in a bag even though I was standing there waiting for twenty minutes, so fish and chips good but vast , kebab dry and diy, I don’t live in London so was a bit surprised at £40 bill, I did order medium portions .

Good food, great service! Kudos to the very friendly staff. Would recommend!
