The best restaurants serving British food in Redbridge London

I can't fault the food, it's delicious. The customer service from the older gentleman needs to improve, no smile nothing. I feel intimidated when I go in. If I ask for small cod, I get told only medium or large. This happened a few times. Can you not cook a small cod? I've had surgery so it's difficult for me to finish a medium/large cod. I feel bad throwing it away considering the price I just paid. Also if you want chicken they say they only have the breast peice. The breast meat is naturally a dry meat so it's not something I prefer. Bittersweet review.

Alissa was absolutely fantastic, she helped us go through the menu. Service was prompt and efficient. 5 star all around. Food was delicious, came on timely manner! Kids enjoyed their food. Sundae came with a candle as it was my son’s bday! Amazing experience. Thanks Alissa

I loved the atmosphere of the place everyone was very happy it reminded me of native Sri Lanka like back home. The food could be tailored more towards the asian community but overall a good imitation of the sri lankan cuisine.

This has been closed for about a year, doing a refurb. but taking ages to do this, not sure what it will be when eventually finished

Very cosy atmosphere, can get busy so would recommend booking. Food was good, some of the veg wasn’t fully cooked. Overall taste was lovely. Would definitely come here again.

As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by the barman. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. All the football games were on the tele so made the lads happy. Food was good and we all enjoyed.

Take a picnic, no toilets available no where to wash your hands before you eat, ice cream prices are shocking almost a fiver for a double scoop

Wonderful pub with lovely locals and a great menu especially the roasts on Sundays! Hollie served me and she’s so friendly with a lovely welcoming smile! Ans It’s a great place to hangout!

Atmosphere is ok but please replace some of the arsy guys serving with women. Let them take their attitudes elsewhere.

Staff have absolutely no idea who is next to be served. The system seems to be that the person who is 'next' is the person who walks to the front of the queue. Isn't part of a bar tenders, oops, bar associates job to serve the punters in the order they appear at the bar? Apparently not, well, not it the Great Spoon Of Ilford.
