The best restaurants serving British food in Redbridge London

We went out as a family after a long time at this particular M&C after experiencing a very bad lunch a year ago but seems like things haven’t changed! A few of us ordered the calamari for starters which was cut into such small pieces and covered in thick batter that you could not taste the calamari at all! I had the pork belly for starters which was more belly than pork, disgusting! Four of us ordered the cod for mains, this came with the plate half covered in baby potatoes and the other half in sweet potatoes with 2-3 leaves of spinach and a thumb size piece of cod which was finished in three goes!!! Just a full plate of potatoes! A few then ordered the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and we were told that it was finished and so was the meringue yet it was barely 9.30 in the evening! Ended having ice cream! A very disappointing and expensive evening resulting in us going home hungry!! Never again!

I loved the atmosphere of the place everyone was very happy it reminded me of native Sri Lanka like back home. The food could be tailored more towards the asian community but overall a good imitation of the sri lankan cuisine.

Bought some fish and chips tonight for me and the wife.They were terrible. Chips were stale and the fish was dry. Obviously both been sitting around for a while.

This has been closed for about a year, doing a refurb. but taking ages to do this, not sure what it will be when eventually finished

I bay one ribs and i received one small ribs for 22 pounds the portions bed

As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by the barman. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. All the football games were on the tele so made the lads happy. Food was good and we all enjoyed.

Absolutamente fantástico servicio 10 de cada 10 volvería a visitar maravilloso personal maravillosa bebida maravillosa comida se divirtió demasiado y terminó agotado al día siguiente, pero absolutamente vale la pena. Especialmente recomendaría la Mara encantadora de nuevo que nos sirvió tan bien y fue absolutamente brillante muchas gracias!

Take a picnic, no toilets available no where to wash your hands before you eat, ice cream prices are shocking almost a fiver for a double scoop

Excellent meal worth the money great potions of everything

Genuinely thrilled to hear that the George is now closed as a Wetherspoon and will be returning as an independent pub. Fingers crossed this marks a significant improvement! I'm eager to see what the new owners bring to the table and hope they can restore The George to its former glory.

Great value for drinks and food. Lovely staff and serve had to wait a little while but it was busy. Atmosphere was calm and friendly.
