Totally impressed with the owners of this establishment. From the attention over the phone when I booked, to the warmth from them on arrival. (Michael I think) was super generous with his time, explaining the incredible South African dishes on the menu. The food was stunning, the attentiveness was perfect and our boys were super giddy about the ales on tap! I actually had a vegetarian, spaghetti with haloumi....who would have thought that would work...super tasty!

The hunters chicken wrap was amazing, and so was the Cadbury large special hot chocolate. The toilet was very clean, and the staff were lovely and helpful, and nice to talk to. Well done starburger very generous portions and great experience. This is my new favourite place to eat in Suffolk. They also have free WiFi. Great meals for all three of us. Great prices. 5/5★★★★★

NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED :-( The Plough at Rede is one of Suffolks best kept secrets. A thatched pub with oak beams, an open fire, all tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Rede. Stunning location, fabulous atmosphere with a warm welcome and the best food for miles around. Brian and Joyce have been running the Plough for over 30 years with customers returning time and time again. Ide give 100 stars if I could.

We stayed here over a weekend for 3 nights whilst visiting family nearby. We stayed in a courtyard room. Our room was warm and very comfortable. Well equipped with towels and up to date with charging sockets. There was a very effective wet room which was toasty warm. It couldn’t have been better. We dined on our first night. Clearly a local take on traditional food and it was fab. Would recommend the chorizo scotch eggs, in-house brined olives, salmon, and steak and ale pie. There was a great selection of beers and a good wine list. Our breakfasts were served in the restaurant. Each morning everything was very well cooked to order by a very jovial host - David. Overall The Bull is comfortable but modern. There’s good parking. In the summer the surrounding gardens will be fab and it’s in very quiet surroundings (but with a good Co-op across the road). This is an excellent place to stay. I’m sure we shall be back.

I stayed at the All Saints hotel Burt St Edmunds approximately 20 nights over the last three month and for breakfast I was looked after by Claire. I travel a lot on business and I can say is the she is a real treasure for your hotel and provided the best friendly and efficient service by far, that I’ve experienced in a hotel.. so, thank you…

The best breakfast in Bury. The food is fresh, high quality and expertly cooked by Mandy and her team. The staff are all lovely and the whole place has a chilled vibe. Perfect for a casual meet-up with friends and family.
