The best restaurants serving British food in Mancroft Norwich East of England

Excellent tasting menu at Boston House tonight and the food was delicious however, it was really disappointing to find a cherry pip in my dessert and poor customer service in response. For fine dining, I would have expected a good will gesture/ more consideration. Unfortunately, my partner and I won’t be returning because of this.

One of my favourite places to have Sunday roast at the Sugar Beat, everything cooked perfectly and presented well, staff are always polite and friendly. Can only highly recommend.

Stayed recently, and I did like being there other than the staff refusing to accept scottish money saying. we have had a scottish forgery so we dont accept any scottish money (really). The most commonly forged currency in the uk is a bank of England £20 note. There are many ways to verify if money is genuine pens and machines. This prejudice needs to stop. Post office state Scottish money is accepted but not given back out except in Scotland. And all banks will accept Scottish notes.

Wow, what a lovely lunch we had today! All three courses were beautifully served, and tasted delicious (including the vegan option). The trainee waiters were very respectful and attentive, and confident enough to have a chat about their course. The instructor guided them subtly when necessary, to help them improve their skills. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in Norwich! We have already booked a return visit.

We called in for late afternoon drinks initally meeting Mark who welcomed us and later Amy who both run this Pub/restaurant. We ordered the mixed fish basket starters which was a lovely selection of fish followed by Haddock & chips which were cooked to perfection. The chocolate fondant deserts were to die fot. We highly recommend this establishment if you are nearby call in. The wecome and food here is sadly missing in many other places.

Llegó y pidió una mesa para cuatro. Dijo 15 minutos de espera. Dijo que esperaríamos y nos quedaríamos afuera al sol. Fui 15 minutos después, para encontrar la mesa que le habían dado a una pareja. Protesté y me dijeron que fuera a buscar otro lugar para comer. Francamente, no sé cómo siguen en el negocio.

I love the friendliness of this cafe. The food is always good and freshly prepared and sensibly priced. My go-to place for coffee or lunch when I'm in Norwich. It is occasionally a little slow if it is really busy

Perfect host , Perfect food .couldn't fault it. Yummy food. Had breakfast last week and it was the best breakfast I've had out .

I love to drink, I love Karaoke and I love a good time. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good time!!

What a fantastic place this was for Norwich city centre with a hard working long suffering director who even paid her way through Covid to stay open. Our cities small independents similar to this have a bleak future ahead as the burden of an increased VAT bill is the result of price increases to cover the forced minimum wage increase, higher taxes and raw material costs. To be brought down by this mess of scaffolding seems an absolute tragedy and certainly an exit with no dignity- but does prove that our independents are disappearing fast.

Fairly quiet for a Saturday afternoon Nice food, reasonably priced and fair range on the menu.

Lovely pub to go for a drink and a chat or some boardgames with friends Food wasn't the best in my opinion however I will say most people I know love their pies so maybe I just caught an unlucky day. Give it go

What a great cinema. Never been before to cinema city and wasn't disappointed. Great bar/cafe, bit unfortunately we arrived too late to have food, 7.30pm for an 8pm film start. Will be better prepared next time. Can't wait to return!
