The Corner House in Norwich

Perfect host , Perfect food .couldn't fault it. Yummy food. Had breakfast last week and it was the best breakfast I've had out .

Primero fuimos a The Corner House hace 2 años y nos encantó. Cuando surgió la oportunidad de un breve descanso sin los niños, inmediatamente pensamos en Mundesley y The Corner House. Fue un poco chocante llegar a nuestra primera mañana para desayunar y recibir un letrero que decía que los propietarios de la visita de una familia de Nueva Zelanda solo volverían a abrir la mañana de la partida. Eso es perfectamente comprensible y una idea realmente encantadora. Así que volvimos después de salir de nuestro chalet (el maravilloso Rookerynook) y teníamos un delicioso desayuno. Nos llevamos a nuestro perro (que se relajó en nuestra mesa con la esperanza de algunas sobras) y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. La comida era tan buena como recordábamos, con una buena selección y un excelente café. El ambiente también es encantador, con un gran vestidor de muebles y un ambiente de playa / shabby chic. Como un aparte, la familia de Nueva Zelanda del propietario estaba allí al mismo tiempo, desayunando. Fue absolutamente encantador ver al hijo y la hija adolescentes metiéndose en la mesa, tomando órdenes y limpiando mesas, todo sin que se lo pidieran. Dos jóvenes de los que estar muy orgullosos allí.

Primero encontré este lugar hace años, cuando estaba de vacaciones, así que solo tenía que volver mientras estábamos en la zona y no me decepcionó. El personal es muy amable y servicial. Tuvimos un té de crema, los bollos eran gorgoeus y había suficiente té para calmar la sed más seca. Los niños tenían deliciosos pasteles también. Un precio muy razonable y algunas chucherías lindas para la venta también. Volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Norfolk. gracias.

We visited this cafe on a Saturday lunch time and were really impressed. Our dog was welcomed too, which made us feel relaxed. The food was great, the service was fantastic (don't know what the moaners below are going on about!) and the atmosphere and cafe itself is wonderful.

We had lunch at the Corner House - paninis and a pot of tea. The paninis were served with a side salad which looked appetising however, there was a short dark curly hair in mine which put paid to my appetite. We left without complaining or reporting the issue (as we are English after all!) but are unlikely to return.

Great coffee. A few arm chairs make a comfy location. The cooked breakfast looked large portions and great. Service was good although could be more friendly.

Centrally situated tea room offering a wide range of drinks and treats in old fashioned surroundings. Very popular with locals and visitors alike. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing make this a pleasant refreshment stop. Love their sign at the counter too; “We don’t have Wi-fi. Talk to each other”

we've eaten quite a few times there. it's nice and friendly but can host very large noisy parties at times ( graduation for instance). very cosy in Winter. On top of that, the owner speaks French and offers some very good Rousillon wines which reminds one of holidays under a warm sun. vegetarian dishes too.

We called in for a late lunch because it looked nice from outside but it was very disappointing. The seating was uncomfortable and the table and the items on it were dirty, as if everything had been touched by lots of sticky fingers. We had to wait ages for our food and the service was slapdash and indifferent. My jacket potato was hard and I left most of it, the teapot looked nice but it wasn't very practical, it dripped very badly and the tea was not very nice. We will not go there again, there are much nicer places to eat locally.

A warm welcoming cafe with above standard cakes and very friendly staff. On a cold winters day their homely hot food was cheap standard fare done well. The baked potatoes were very good and crispy as was pannini. Coffee and Victoria sandwich cake finished us off.

nice and light , very clean, choice of seating,tables, sofas benches,and cushions, very good coffee, happy staff,good service. if i lived nearer, i would go there every day. hope they can make it pay.

I was looking forward to the Corner House openning and I was more than pleased with the results. Too many small businesses try to open on the cheap....not the Corner House. The external decoration is tasteful and indicates the quality to be found inside. This business has not been open very long but I can tell you it is here to stay. The food is not pretentious, but well presented, quality and very good value for money. Make the Corner House part of your weekly agenda, you will not be disappointed.
