Perfect, light, crispy batter and fresh, delicious cod. Chips were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. My daughter really enjoyed her battered sausage. Thank you!

Just had a gorgeous piece of crispy battered cod for lunch. It was cooked to order and was so fresh and tasty.

Tried this shop for the first time today after receiving a leaflet through my door. I wanted to try the OAP lunch special @ only £4.30. It was excellent value, tasty and well cooked. I will be back.

Chips served today looked so dark and dry I can only assume they had been in the oven since lunchtime. Shame had to use this place as usual place closed for bank holiday. Could have earned a new repeat customer today but they didn’t

Good chips,makes people pay for service sometimes,overpriced,small portins 😡, small is a baby size ,old owners was better they serviced great protins 1 medium was three people sized for us

Been here a couple of times now , always good. The fishcakes taste like the old chippy fishcakes I remember from younger days , the chips are wonderfully done, and the curry sauce is lovely too. I hope all goes well for the new owners, but I'm sure after people have given them a chance there won't be a problem if they keep these standards up.

I arrived to buy fish and chips for the family at 7.30 pm and it was closed, despite the notice on the door stating open till 8pm. The staff inside ignored myself and other customers who tried to get in. It was only the staff from the kebab shop next door who advised us they were closed, and they 'always do that'. Not a great way to run a business!

Average food and rude staff. Addendum, just turned up 15 minutes before their advertised closing time only to find them shut. Shan't be using them again nor dealing with their arrogant staff. So there is one upside

Fish batter is light and vert crispy. Fish cooked perfectly. Chips with mushy peas and curry sauce..10 out of 10

The food is excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. If, like me, you are of an elderly persuasion (i.e. old git) try the senior special fish and chips - great value. PBI, cash only, no cards.

I often come here for lunch. On this occasion I had a spring roll and small chips.

Possibly good fish and chips but must be the only chippy in the world with no capacity for card payments, cash only! Not sure they sell much because of that but in this day and age where people are using contactless because of covid, you'd think they'd get a card reader. They lost my business.

Quality of fish chips & beans. The only problem was that while they smoked outside the smoke blew in. They should have known that & moved further away. I would havegiven them a 5 star otherwise. I am asmatic with CPOD so it's important to me. Staff were friendly

We use the chip shop regularly. Generous portions of chips. We've tried the battered burgers, sausages and cod. All well cooked and tasty. The odd thing has been missing or wrong when we've checked the bag once home so staff could be a little bit more organised maybe. But overall a very decent, English chip shop.

Very disappointed. Stood in there waiting for ages, chips stone cold, sausages fùll of fat and found hair in food can defo say i wont be using this place again
