Partenope is a visually and poetic stunning film by Sorrentino, full of Neapolitan melancholy and beauty. A contemplative experience. Watching it in the comfortable, Cinemacity Norwich cinema made it even more special. Great image and sound quality.

Picture House has a habit of treating food and drinks as an after thought and the Norwich site is a good example as is its West Norwood one. Average food and people running it indifferent.

I adore this place it’s in my DNA. I’ve been a member since 2007 and go at least weekly. The team really try and make things special. Our friends had their wedding reception here a few years ago and they did an amazing job. Just brilliant. We’ve got Odeon Limitless and see most things at Odeon (cinema probably 4 times a week). I wish Picture Houses had a similar scheme?

This was our first visit to Cinema City, we had a great time and enjoyed the film. I have just knocked off a star for a couple of reasons. Firstly, when we arrived, there was a queue out the door, but only one staff member serving. This meant we had to wait around 10 minutes to buy snacks and drinks, even though we had pre-purchased our tickets. It would be helpful if food and ticket sales were handled separately to speed up the process maybe? Secondly, I was quite surprised that there were no ushers, or anyone to direct you to the screen you were in. The gentleman serving us at the till briefly checked our ticket, but didn’t indicate where we should go. Although there aren’t that many screens, for a first time visitor we had no idea where we were going. Whilst the Cinema City building has a lot of character, it is quite higgledy piggledy! Although we enjoyed the film, a couple in our screening wouldn’t stop talking, to the point where other audience members had to tell them to be quiet. I realize this isn’t necessarily the cinema’s fault, but it did take away from the experience. Overall, we had a good time, but I had expected Cinema City to have a more premium feel compared to VUE or Odeon. While the interior is charming, the service didn’t quite match the higher price point.

The staff is very dismissive and rude As soon as they see you “out of the picture “ looking different they treat you like stupid Asked about the screen they sent me to one then two then three Eventually,,, How lucky they are just 3 screens They they said shall I show you to you ? Like I couldn’t find it No darling just tell me the correct one where to go What a shame they still treat people differently by the way they look !

After years of being a fan I am slowly going off this cinema. The cinema temperature is not consistent and is mostly too cold. The food has taken a dive for the worse. We all know it's more expensive than other cinemas, which used to be worth the extra. Others feel the same because there have been low numbers in the past months.

I have been here before, a couple of times to see movies, but mainly to have a drink or a meal, usually sitting in the small wooden panelled room. This time, it being my birthday, myself and two lady friends decided that we would have a drink. I had an Aspall cider, and the ladies had a Rosé wine each. I like it here, even if some of the items are rather expensive, but you do get what you pay for.

have been here often, you do need to check ahead as sometimes for odd reasons they're not serving food at the usual times which can be disappointing. But when they are it's good food, and the venue is lovely (so long sa they close the doors so it warms up!). Staff are friendly, food is freshly cooked and good portions for fair prices. We like it. Sunday brunch we perfect after a morning movie. We've also been for evening pizza, or lunch. Friendly, and tables spaced enough for friends to have a good catch up chat.

I have been here before and it's really nice, but if you get served by a middle-aged woman with brown hair at the ticket desk, I'd suggest double checking your screen number with another member of staff :( We came to see the premiere of a short film tonight- she confidently told us the screen number, but unfortunately she had sent us into the wrong screen. By the time the film title came up and we realised, and we went back to ask her for the correct screen number, we were only able to catch the last minute of the short film and missed the scene that my partner had a role in. When we asked if the film would be shown again since we had missed the film due to this staff member's mistake, she rudely brushed us off and didn't have the decency to apologise. This made us very sad as my partner missed his chance to see his scene :( Nice cinema but unfortunate experience with this staff member :'(

We have visited Cinema City many times over the years both to see films and eat in the restraunt. We came in yesterday with my family for brunch and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We all had the American Pancake stack which sounded delicious on the menu. When it arrived, it was not as described (missing nuts and seeds) and was frankly cold. When questioned, we were told it was an old menu which they no longer provide. Very disappointing!

A daytime ticket often gives you a fairly empty cinema. There were only two other people watching The Three Musketeers, as far as I could see, which was very relaxing. The downside was 20 minutes of adverts - too many in my opinion On second thoughts, it's fewer adverts than the Vue. However, it is more expensive.

The cinema is a far cry from the likes of Vue and Odeon, offering a smaller auditorium with comfortable seats and, most importantly, a usually better behaving respectable audience. The restaurant offers really great food and the service overall is very good. However, one thing it does share with the big chains is the inflated price of drinks. I paid £4 for a glass of draught cola. I know they have to make a profit, but it does seem way too expensive. I don't mind paying a little extra for the ticket because you get a better experience here, but be wary of the overall cost of your night out.

Going to the cinema is great, and Cinema City is cosy, with friendly staff, good quality in almost every respect but... I'm dropping a star for one reason only: I CAN'T STAND the advert that displays just before the show asking you to "make an exception" to turning your phone off to give to a charity. There are so many things wrong with that advert that I'm not going to list them all here, and just to be clear, the idea of promoting giving to that charity is not one of them. It's just so poorly executed in every respect, and I have to turn away from the screen and try and block out the sound every time it comes on, resisting the temptation not to shout and scream at the screen. Also, their main corporate sponsor's advert is awful too both in execution and because it's promoting an unsustainable travel mode.

Cinema city is a beautiful building retaining original features and quirks. It is almost directly opposite the ramp to st Andrews car park and ready to find. The entrance is beautiful and it's staff are very helpful and kind. Coffee is good and the little cafe area is lovely, featuring 3 eating areas all connected. The screen rooms for cinema viewing are lovely and well kept, not too big and the seats are comfortable. The toilets are also well kept and modern, there is a lift to access upstairs and downstairs as the stairways are narrow and appear to be part of the original design of the building.

Never visited the pub before and was charmed by the look and feel of the place. Bar staff in general were pleasant and welcoming. The menu for the roast dinners was excellent, with a choice of pork, beef or chicken for carnivores and various for vegetarians and vegans. I ordered the pork and my girlfriend the beef - whereas Siobhan cleared her plate and enjoyed it, I cannot in all honesty say the same. Roast potatoes are quite frankly an intrinsic part of any roast and the ones served to us were quite clearly reheated in the fryer - and were hard inside and not at all crispy nor fluffy. The gravy was clearly out of a jar and was insipid in looks and taste. On a plus point, the pork was tender and the spring greens very tasty. The dessert of the rhubarb and custard tart was extremely tasty and very well presented. All in all, this was an ok experience, but just ok - we shall not be returning for food any time soon, especially at the prices charged - the Sunday dinner we had at the White Lion on Oak Street in NR3 a couple of Sundays ago by far exceeds the quality and value for money sadly offered on our experience today.
