I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jarrolds in Norwich. The store was beautifully laid out and stocked with a wide variety of high-quality goods. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my shopping experience truly enjoyable. I was particularly impressed by the selection in the homeware department and found some unique pieces to add to my collection. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Jarrolds for a delightful shopping experience.

Second time for breakfast and I feel it better value than lunch. Large portions, nice selections and kept us full all day. Lovely ambience and attentive staff. The only let down was the disappointing coffee, they need to up their game, especially for the cost. It is tiny and not very good. I am sure last time there was top ups.

We booked afternoon tea. It was dreadful. Service was slow. The wrong tea was brought and not changed despite our protest. The prosecco drinks we ordered did not arrive at all. The so called sandwiches were simply door steps served on a single thick piece of bread. They were taken from the counter and put onto a cake plate. Two of the cakes crumbled when we lifted them. We complained when paying the bill but it was plain our concerns would not be escalated hence this review. We have used Jarrolds for 50 years without complaint but will not return to Benjis. it is wrong to exploit customers in this way.

Ugh... 2nd time eating here and it was just as underwhelming as the first time. Had to go up and order , 3 people trying to sort the till out no one made eye contact or reassure they would be with me soon. Finally took my order and the food came quick.... but it was cold. The bun on the burger was hard and stale. The sauces are the only good thing here and the meal with no drinks was £30. You'd get better value in the spoons round the corner

The slice of cake shown here was £6. The tea was nice and the lady who served us was brilliant and helpful. However I don’t think this slice of cake should be £6, absolutely absurd price for a slice of cake. It didn’t seem homemade on eating it either. Should have checked the price before ordering, but my friend was treating me and said I could pick something, however we were really shocked at the bill.

Lunch with disabled parents. Friendly welcome by Maggie who showed us several table options and offered to take parents to and from the disabled toilet. Also severed by Maggie at the bar - busy lady as the restaurant was pretty full. Food a little slow arriving but the mixed grill and gammon we properly cooked not fling and ping when happens elsewhere. Mixed was excellent with good cuts of steak and gammon and quality sausages. Also FOC swap to jacket potato. Deserts also nice and meals not overpriced with their 25% off deals. Toilets could do with a revamp / some TLC. Otherwise very good find for lunch.

Advertises and named as a seafood restaurant, but we were a bit disappointed to find a shortish menu with limited seafood offerings. Having said that the Chowder starter was excellent. The bavette steak was good and the desserts were nice too. Good service despite being fairly busy - nice to have a carafe of water bought to our table as we arrived. Very local to where we were staying in a riverside lodge. Open for lunch most days but only Friday and Saturday for evening meals.
