Had a lovely meal when staying in Norwich. Food was excellent varied enough for 4 people with very different tastes. Particularly loved the duck rendang and the chicken skewers. The service was also 1st class - attentive but not over bearing. Would definitely recommend.

Superb cafe, way above the average. Family -run. Excellent, very pleasant service, delicious breakfasts, and spotless. Separate women's/men's loos too. Ate there for our three days in Norwich. Small suggestion: turn down the music a little. It's not loud, but could be quieter. Overall, a perfect cafe.

Myself and 3 friends went tonight for the 7 course tasting menu. On arrival, we were greeted by a young, very polite gentleman who showed us to our table. Our waiter, Kevin, then came over and from start to finish was excellent, very knowledgeable, and knew about every dish in detail. As for the food, wow, absolutely stunning, the flavour was out of this world, and the plates were presented so well as you would expect from a 3 rosette restaurant . We were given some canapés to start with and this was the start of things to come . First course was venison tartar and this was sublime. Very light and a perfect dish imo. Then came the partridge, wow, deep flavour and again looked stunning. Next up was an equally stunning turbot, beautifully cooked fish and the rest of the dish was executed perfectly. Then, for me, the start of the show, the beef cheeks, omg it melted in my mouth, the sauce was insane and as a fellow chef I appreciated the work that had gone into these dishes. We had 3 other courses in between, which were just right and amazing. Next up was the dessert, a take on a fruit and nut bar. Wow, such a technical dessert but unbelievably nice. I have to mention the pre dessert as well as it was delicious. All in all, a 5 star experience and can not wait to go back. Just to top it off, the owner and the sous chef came out to say hello, and I popped in the kitchen to try a couple of treats the sous chef gave me to try . If you have never been please please do because you are missing out, I believe rodger is moving premises and possibly on to another adventure around the end of March, so please go there ASAP . Many thanks to Mr hickman and his team for an amazing night

Our second and last attempt to get a breakfast at Brewers Fayre. Booked this a month in advance for 10:15. Arrived to be told don’t bother. There’s a queue and we pack things up in 15 minutes. Looked absolute chaos with massive queues for everything. Why take bookings at all at 10:15 if there’s no time to eat! Kings Lynn was terrible too. Never again.

Went for afternoon tea, the staff were helpful and pleasant, however the food was a disappointment. The sandwiches were dry on one side and the fillings not that good, part of the groups cakes were small and only 5 between 2 people, although there was plenty of scones, the de-caf tea was weak however long you left it to stew, sorry but will not be returning in the future.
