A favorite of my hubbies (although it’s becoming one of mine too) always try and meet here for the Norwich games and avoid the busy ones closer to the ground which are a nightmare…. Plus this is a great sports pub if you’re lucky enough to get a seat at the front- Bar staff are friendly and diligent! Love the chance to win your Round for free with the roll of a rice (not win yet) The selection of drinks they have is great, lots of delicious ales (but not one bitter- when we took my dad he looked as if he’d just seen a. Ghost when we broke the new to him) the food and in particular the pies are great, hearty food for the match. Really like the lots of little nooks of seating area although some leave you with restricted views to watch the game, but other than that it gives the pub real character!

The barman was friendly and chatty with some banter, some of the tables were sticky from previous spilt beer and not been wiped, moved 3 times before finding a clean table. However it's a pub and the staff were busy I guess but unfortunately the dinner I had was the worst roast dinner I have ever been served. The Yorkshire was doughy in the middle and burnt on the outside , the sausages wrapped in bacon and stuffing balls were undercooked for my liking and annoying that you have to pay extra for these, I feel they should come with your roast as norm. My main complaint, as I love veg, was that the parsnips and carrots were raw (and huge), perhaps try cutting them smaller and cooking a little longer, I don't mind ,"al Dante", in fact I hate soggy veg but these were a joke, I couldn't even get a knife through them! it was sent back and 5 minutes later after being put in a microwave and quite frankly still hard to cut through, even with a steak knife that the waiter produced the second time. My dinner was not even replaced with a fresh plate of food, merely all just put in the microwave, the only thing I got was another pot of gravy which was watery and tasteless. The waiter, whom I did like, commented something about hoping that my teeth could cope with the veg now? I told him they were still too hard and he offered to get me something else to eat but I told him to leave it as my son and husband had finished eating by now. I ate a couple of roast potatoes and a bit of chicken. My son left all his vegetables too. My husbands pulled pork burger was ok. For me I wouldn't eat here again..for £67 not worth it. Had I not already paid I wouldn't have payed for this one meal, and had I been on my own I would have requested a refund but it was a couple of hours we had come down to see our son and I didn't want to cause more fuss.

The concept behind the name of this establishment is a clever novelty and the interior decor speaks antiquity. The beer is well kept with a decent choice of cask. There are the usual keg lager style beers and a selection of spirits. TV screens are something of a distraction from the general ambience.

I do like the murderers but for some reason I can't fathom I never really feel like I can stay here for too long. Perhaps it's because it's a city centre pub and there's a constant flux of people or perhaps it's because the beers and real ales seem to be some of the most expensive in the city, but if you're there to meet some friends for a post shopping pint or catch the match on any number of screens dotted throughout the building, then it does just fine.

Don’t bother with the food ! I ordered the home made chicken curry…..worst curry I have ever had ! It said it was a medium curry… well I failed to find anything curry about it at all,I don’t like strong curry, but this failed, not even a whisp of curry flavour.. it was thin, runny stock, with onions and green peppers and the chicken was very dark meat…not sure it was even chicken… the Nan bread was warm, the popadom was good and crispy, the mint yogurt was very minty. The rice was just rice. My husband had steak pie, chips and peas, he said it was ok, but nothing special. I did give feedback to the staff when he cleared our plates. **Cozy Spot with a Great Patio – Perfect for Drinks with Friends!** The Plow in Norwich is a charming spot with a cozy, quaint atmosphere that makes it a great place to unwind. The garden patio is a real highlight—it's absolutely lovely when the weather is nice, providing a perfect setting for enjoying a drink outdoors. However, one downside is that the menus don't always reflect what's actually available, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this, The Plow remains a fantastic place for catching up with friends over drinks. The ambiance and friendly vibe make it well worth a visit.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jarrolds in Norwich. The store was beautifully laid out and stocked with a wide variety of high-quality goods. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my shopping experience truly enjoyable. I was particularly impressed by the selection in the homeware department and found some unique pieces to add to my collection. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Jarrolds for a delightful shopping experience.
