My husband has eggs Benedict for every breakfast when we go out and he said this was the best he’s ever had. My son also loved the pancakes.

Had breakfast here off the cuff with my family and what a lovely place... Tbh I wasn't really dressed for the place but they were fine with it. The staff was very nice and chatty , food was lovely. So I will definitely be back (dressed better).

Always am amazing experience in the Ivy. Service is super efficient and friendly and always a smiling face. The coffee is great as are the wonderful cocktails. Breakfast menu is varied with every dish we've tried absolutely delicious. Even the baked beans are hot,which most establishments fail miserably on. Decor is quirky yet classy and fun. We'll see you again very soon.

We had a lovely dinner at the Ivy. The location is great, the atmosphere is very nice and most of all the service from Mitch is was fantastic. It’s refreshing to get such a personalised and friendly person looking after you and having a bit of fun. The food is good and the price reflects the quality of the service and ambience. Terrible service & can't manage allergies so absolutely not worth the price point it sets Could tell there was no manager on 1st floor on Saturday 16th March 8pm+. It was bumbling chaos. Waited 45 mins for tap water for table. We weren't told certain specials weren't available when given menus, perhaps because we waited hour to order food this changed. Took half dirty plates away. Got our own coats because staff were chatting around corner again. Giving the wrong person desert with birthday candle (I mean easy to mix up age 10 with age 70 right?) really highlighted that this is not a venue that can make you feel special. Excruciating. Wouldn't that note on our reservation be passed on? We were asked allergies on booking, someone called to confirm day before but they didn't know anything about them when we arrived. Were told to look ourselves via qr code. No suggestions given. 30 mins after we ordered our starters we were told it didn't meet dietary requirements (fair play chef) and no suggestions for alternative given Floor staff must of made life hard work for chef team. We watched a runner with huge food tray left ignored whilst waiters were chatting about gosh knows what It was my mum's 70th, and it was an absolute embarrassment. Please think carefully before booking this for a special occasion

Sadly we weren't aware that the 1971 menu finishes at 6:30 . Very noisy when full , barely able to hear people across the table.

Visited The Ivy with my family at the weekend. Had to book quite far in advance, and can totally understand why. The atmosphere was great, it feels decidedly classy yet friendly, the sound of relaxed chatter and laughter a warm buzz rather than loud. The food was amazing, with the shepherds pie being a particular standout, but everyone loved their meal. The service was genuinely great, with efficient and attentive servers who magically appeared when we needed something but didn't lurk. Nothing was too much trouble and they were genuinely funny. We all felt the bill was excellent value for quality and the service and the food, and we'd highly recommend The Ivy.

No matter which Ivy we visit, its always an excellent evening. Tonight its Norwich! Service (from Lauren) was first rate, margaritas (and 70s retro Pina Colada) flowed nicely and food was everything you would expect from The Ivy. Could not resist the Rum Baba for dessert! 😍😍 10/10

Come here tonight for a special evening, my steak was over cooked but was replaced with a fresh steak, one side was missed and bought over when my replate came. Second steak was cooked better but still not perfectly. Mitch was the saving grace of the whole night, easily the best service I've ever had anywhere. The love he has food this job is so clear to see. He went the extra mile to make sure that my proposal went as well as it could possible. I honestly can't say thank you enough to Mitch for all the effort he went to and nothing was to much trouble. He's a real gem and so genuine and The Ivy Norwich is blessed to have him.

We were looking all around for a cafe and saw this place It truly is a 5* establishment from the service to food and drink I honestly cannot recommend this enough The full English breakfast was absolutely amazing fresh and hot The coffee was fresh hot and strong which I love My partner had the smoked salmon on crumpet and said the salmon was fresh and melted in her mouth

Lovely breakfast with exceptional, attentive service. Not the quickest but it was very busy and certainly worth the wait. Quite pricey, however had less costing more in other places. The scrambled eggs were possibly the best I've tasted anywhere. Our server was excellent and informative, giving us the supplier location of the local sausages, which were really tasty with great texture. Would certainly go there again for a bit of luxury.

We were spending a few days in Norwich and decided to eat here on our last evening. Excellent decision! The food was perfect and beautifully presented. Everything was delicious and the cocktails were great. The thing that elevated The Ivy was the quality of customer care. I have to give our server (James) a solid 5*, he was a complete joy and so helpful. He made it a really good experience 😃

Finally headed for a late valentines date at the ivy this evening. The food was delicious. We had the aramcini. Duck pate and escalopes for starters. The veal chick that was as tender as delicious. Desserts and cocktails were amazing too. Mitch's service was impeccable: friendly and professional. Will definitely come back!

We visited the Ivy last night to celebrate a 50th Birthday - food was lovely, although the Shepard's Pie was a lot smaller than expected. However Jack our waiter for the evening, deserves to be praised. A very jolly, smiley gentleman - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Jack for making our experience more than we expected.

Food quite good, but there are better Vale upper graded restaurants in the city. Overall our party felt there are too many tables in the Norwich restaurant, meaning difficult to navigate without knocking into people's chairs, waiters, and ornamental plants. We reckoned far too many tables crammed into the ground floor, obviously to make more money. Very noisy too. Table service a bit hit and miss. Given what you pay for this place, it's disappointing to have waiters reach across you with cutlery and crockery without saying "excuse me".

I've eaten here several times. The decor is beautiful. The staff are very friendly, kind and accommodating. I've had Breakfast (eggs benedict, pancakes etc) & Dinners (Soufflé, Butternut Squash & Grains, another visit I had the vegetarian curry). My only niggle is I would love to see more adventurous vegetarian dishes on the menu, rather than a basic burger/ curry, or pasta. Top notch food though and lovely atmosphere. On the expensive side but worth it. ✨️

Visited last month with my daughter as a very belated birthday meal from November, and subsequent daughter’s birthday in December, and could not have enjoyed it more!! My daughter is 13 and it was a real treat for her: she loved the whole atmosphere & the service was excellent, we were looked after so well by polite, attentive staff. The dishes were generous (not too small yet not overwhelmingly), good quality & delicious. A nice range of menu options too. Overall an excellent meal & we hope to be back soon!

I'd been looking forward to visiting the Ivy for a long time, it's one of those places you walk past in Norwich and it just looks so lavish. Until the day of visiting I naively hadn't realised that it is a chain, looking at the menu (before visiting) I was getting slightly cold feet; nothing on the menu really stood out for me and I worried the evening was going to be all show with little substance. My worries however, were immediately relieved as soon as I set foot in the restaurant. The building, decor and ambience are exceptional; 1930s facade in a stunning period building. Worthy of the Ivy signage, this feels every bit of the experience you'd expect from a fancy London restaurant, only it's in little Norwich! Staff have clearly been well trained, they were all very welcoming, attentive, friendly and efficient. For me, the welcoming aspect is important. There's nothing worse than visiting a "nice restaurant" only for the staff to be unfriendly, quiet and pretentious. I felt the perfect balance of courteous and friendly was met. This also includes the bar staff which were happy to make a bespoke cocktail, a new recipe my partner was happy to guinea pig! OK, so the food. As I mentioned earlier, my initial impression was slightly underwhelmed at the menu. I'm not sure what I was expecting, all the usual menu staples are there plus there's an Asian menu. The menu is online so there's no need for any further detail on this, what I can tell you is that the food has been carefully considered. Every single course, or side was delicious. It's every bit the sort of food you'd expect from a high end establishment, plus the quantity was also perfectly sufficient (always a concern for me!). So, should you be put off as I was that this is a chain? Absolutely not. This place is a great experience, if anything the fact that it's a chain has benefits as it feels like a well oiled machine, they have the formula well honed for how to deliver a consistent service throughout. Prices are mid to high, however there are set meals that can be had if you're on a smaller budget and still want a nice time. Overall I give this a well deserved 10/10, I will be returning. My only real gripe is the service charge added at the end. Yes it's "discretionary" but let's be honest, it's really going to sour the mood. Please just build this into the price, it's a nasty tactic. If I feel a tip is earned, I'll pay it directly to the staff.

Booked here for our anniversary. Our waitress Lauren was amazing so attentive, kind and pleasant! They even gave us a free anniversary dessert which was a lovely touch!

It was my first time to dine in your fine restaurant. I was impressed with the ambiance, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the food was superb. The food was lovely but the service was terrible.We’ve paid service charge for poor service.All night no one asked if the food is ok or if we need anything.You can go to other places and eat good food with good service. We were very disappointed!!!

Always reliable on the food front, and service generally very good. We had the festive menu, the Polar Bear Christmas dessert is a winner. We've noticed they have this strange habit of being very attentive until desserts and then they seem to move on and forget about you. Even with the festive menu we had to remind them about the mince pies you get included. Has happened several times now, and for the price brings the overall rating down to a 4.

We went for breakfast and to be honest the food was nice...just nice nothing special, I will try again for Dinner but will save my money and go elsewhere for breakfast in the future. The service was excellent but found the restaurant so noisy it was hard to hear the people on the same table as me. Feel a little underwhelmed as I had expected it to be amazing after all the hype.

Wow. Have eaten here several times this year and every time it is fantastic. It is expensive and so very much a treat but service, food and atmosphere are all impeccable. The experience is a bit like stepping back to the nineteen twenties. If you feel particularly indulgent I strongly recommend the chocolate bomb for desert! It is pricey but you really get what you pay for and boy is it is worth it. A real gem in Norwich city centre.

Delicious food, catered well for gluten and dairy intolerant diners. Good menu choices. For the money I feel the standard of service could have been better with more attentive waiters. Otherwise very good and will go back for sure.

Popped in for an Armagnac and an Irish coffee. The atmosphere is so nice and relaxed and the staff are so pleasant. Always nice to pop in after a days shopping. The fact they serve Cognac and Armagnac in warm glasses is always a bonus. Thank you.

Food is not bad, but there isn't much choice for vegans, the vegan meals don't have a proper protein either.

Great meal out with friends will go again

Our Table was booked for 8pm and was not ready. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Not good enough!!

We went there last Monday and was looked after very , the steak me we chose was a tad on the cold side, but we were very well taken care of and the problem was soon sorted , over all a very nice experience 😀

I have been lucky enough to visit a handful of times over the past few months and it hasn’t put a foot wrong once. It is consistently fantastic. Service is exceptional, food is just perfect, wines are yummy. I love it here. Sure it’s on the pricey side but it is absolutely worth it.

Bad service with food not to match the prices. Premium prices with £40+ service charge should be exceptional but it wasn’t. The blackened cod was awful and dry and when replaced was a little better but no thought or expertise into the cuisine we experienced. Always had a good time in Cambridge look like we will go back there again.

It depends on the number of people in the company. We have been there a couple of times . We quite enjoyed when we went there with my husband’s parents. We have a big table in the middle to ourselves and had a bit of privacy to have conversations. Recently, my husband and I went for our anniversary dinner . We were then given one of the ‘two seater tables ‘. The periphery of the floor is arranged like a cafe or a pub with tiny tables stacked so close to each other some people with invariably be touching the other table trying to get out! It was quite disappointing and a terrible experience . There is absolutely no element of dining in a nice restaurant whilst in these seats . We did contemplate leaving but then couldn’t be bothered so bad out mean anyways. The food was good . I expected a bit more in terms of quality seating from a chain like The Ivy. We wouldn’t be going again unless it’s a larger group. The service was lovely so we did leave a 25% tip. It was however a deflating end to our lovely wedding anniversary.

We are big fans of the Ivy chain, and this is as good as the others. Great ambiance and service, superb food. Recommended, especially for that special occasion. My only gripe is the cost of the wine which I feel is very overpriced.

Me and my wife are both gluten intolerant they had gluten free options but not loads.....I could have a steak but not the chips, so I decided on the Shepherds pie which was tasty! my wife had the duck curry which was delicious. It was a good atmosphere and pleasant service. We would return.

Well deserving of its fine reputation

Food was great and the service at the table was lovely. We went early to have a cocktail at the bar as we were celebrating. I think the bar staff were told to ration the measures as we had aperol spritz about half full and rammed with ice. The orange liquid was about 1/4 of the glass. I then tried a kir Royal which was correctly served in a champagne flute that was only 2/3 full. I asked the bartender to top up the glass and I was told “ok but don’t tell the manager “. For £12 per glass it was ridiculous portion sizes. Shame

Lovely friendly staff on door and behind bar. Beautiful restaurant as all Ivys are. Food is as you would expect.
