Cosy Club Norwich in Norwich

Cosy Club seem to target interesting buildings, ones that would otherwise be hard to let or repurpose. This one is a gem for atmosphere and querkiness. Food is OK and the biggest thumbs up to Cosy Club for not automically adding 'service' to the bill. I actually enjoyed giving out server a tip rather than resenting the automatic addition of 12%. That alone will make me want to return. Tip: if booking this particular restaurant, ask for a table in the banking hall... The side rooms are not half as evocative.

First visit and really loved it. A beautiful setting, staff were very helpful and friendly, they knew the menu and drinks well. We were not rushed at anytime and we were able to chat which was great. ❤️

Food poisoning Table booked for 6pm however didn’t get seated till gone 7pm. Sea bass meal arrived to our table to which none ordered & a meal we had ordered was split on the floor on the way to our table, nothing left on the plate. My meal arrived which was the burger - I took a few mouthfuls and discovered that this was luke warm & the waiter had this exchanged for another one by which others had finished eating at the table nearly 8pm and was told we could have 25% off the bill taken off and apologised. Came home rudely awoken 6 hours later at 4am to d&v and high temperature!! I don’t ever want to come back here again. I have contacted the company direct and the same on trip advisor no response.

Didn't have any food so cannot comment on that but this is a lovely building with a decent atmospheric bar which made us some good drinks.

We visited for cocktails. The bar tender appeared to be very proficient at making cocktails. However, when they arrived, the drinks tasted as though they contained negligible amounts of alcohol. Nice venue but wouldn’t recommend.

Incredible space with several vegan options including a dirty breakfast butty that hit the spot for me.

Lovely old building. Food had to be sent back. Cauliflower in Massaman curry was raw and food cold. Waitress ok but not particularly interested in state of food. Expensive for quality of food.

Absolutely amazing setting, such a lovely building, food, service and price all great. We had both breakfast and lunch here today. Many thanks to the staff for being so attentive. They also have a large dog friendly area inside which is a huge bonus for us 👍

Visited for Saturday lunch with friends. This used to be my bank so was totally blown away by the decor and being able to visit the vaults. Servers were very professional and friendly and the whole place was really buzzing. Skipped starters as we were eating out that evening, and ordered the salmon fish cakes. These weee delicious with a perfectly cooked poached egg on top and braised spinach and leek underneath. Finished off with a perfect affogato. Prices reasonable and just a great place to eat in a city with a lot of other superb restaurants.

It was busy but we had a serviceable meal and drink. Not in a hurry to go back but folks were friendly and it tasted fine!

What can I say? Well, the meet and greet guy was great, sat us quickly and we had menues in no time. After about 15 minutes the waitress arrives and takes our drink order and request for a jug of water. About 20 minutes later we give our meal order and ask for our drinks and the jug of water. 10 minutes later the drinks arrive, without the water. Finally asked for the third time for water and it arrived, though we were well into our starter by then. Our food finally arrived and personally I'd give 10* for my garlic prawns starter. That was the absolute best I've ever had, so now I'm really looking forward to the sea bass and ready to forgive the abysmal service. What an absolute let down that was! Over cooked and dried out, one piece of bacon and (thankfully) only one butter bean in mine and none in my husband's meal. Even the dessert didn't really make a big impression. There were 5 of us and the bill was around £250, not bad for a good meal and good service. Sadly we had neither. True, the waiters and waitresses were all very polite and smiling, there was just not enough of them to facilitate the venue and the amount of people waiting to eat. It's unlikely we will eat there again, but if we do, I'll have the garlic prawns for starter and a double garlic prawns for my main.

It’s such a shame, this place had been highly recommended to me. I went for my birthday, it’s such a gorgeous building but they put us in a dark corner that made us feel like we werent supposed to be there, despite plenty of empty tables. The starters were amazing, I wish they had been the mains. They didnt have the main dishes on the menu that I’d fancied as they were out of fish, and the chicken i did have was nicely cooked and seasoned but really quite ordinary to be honest. Asked for balloons at the table on the booking and they didnt do this, I would think they would as everywhere else I’ve asked in the past has always done this for us on a birthday. Really disappointing and wont be going again. You’d think they’d reserve us a nice table since we booked well in advance and made it clear it was a special occasion, the dingy spot made us feel really depressed and like it wasnt a celebration at all. The waiters were lovely, just a shame they seated us in a bad spot.

Went for bottomless brunch for valentines day. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. Would definitely go back.

Friends hired the function room "The Vault" for a Stag do. A great venue under the main restaurant. It has it's own bar and sound system that can play your own choice of music if required. Drinks were a bit limited in the bar but you can obtain more choice back upstairs in the restaurant bar. Paid for food platter which was tasty but a bit limited for quantity.

We came here for a birthday meal with the family. The decor was magnificent. The waitress was very friendly, how ever the service was very slow, booked the table at 7:30 didn’t get our meal till 8:45. It was very expensive for what we got, I couldn’t believe that they charge £5 for a side off broccoli when you can get that out off a supermarket for a couple off quids. My husband risotto was very gritty.

The restaurant building itself the nicest part, the old bank building and the decorations are glorious. The food can be mixed. Been a few times and absolutely amazed by the food, but other times a little let down. The staff are always lovely and attentive, and the prices are fairly reasonable.

It was fun and a different experience having dinner here. Being a lighting company - I found the lighting pretty incredible! And the building is stunning. Definitely a fun atmosphere but wouldn’t say the food was wow but staff really friendly and a good evening overall .

We had a great experience here at the weekend being our first time. This place was recommended to us by friends and it did not disappoint. We wanted somewhere to eat following an intimate small low key wedding ceremony. We were given the best table which was tucked away giving us privacy whilst still being able to enjoy the buzzing atmosphere in there. The waitress was excellent and looked after us very well. We were even given a glass of bubbles on the house which was such a lovely touch. Nothing was too much trouble, we’re even able to request a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu! Thanks for making our lunch perfect. The food & cocktails were great !

Absolutely loved the food. This was the second time I have been there ,as I don't live in Norwich. They were very busy, but service was great. Interesting old bank vault downstairs to view.

Me and my partner came here for birthday drinks. It is beautiful inside, the staff were lovely and had excellent customer service.

What a lovely place. Our waitress was brilliant, service was excellent. I wish I could remember her name ( sorry), so helpful and accommodating. Going through the menu to make sure our slightly fussy friend received a meal she would enjoy. The food was very tasty. It was a Tuesday evening and not particularly busy but feel of the restaurant was as stated Cosy. We will definitely be going again. Thank you

My first visit on Saturday night for my daughter’s birthday, there were 5 of us. The restaurant was very busy, our table wasn’t ready so we were sent to the bar to wait. It took a little while to get served but the staff were very friendly. Our waitress Danni was great, we can not praise her enough, very attentive & friendly, food was very tasty, we will definitely return.

Tom was a great waiter and was very attentive of our table and extremely polite and helpful. The food was great and we all had a lovely time.

I came here for my 21st birthday and it was the best meal we've had in a long time. There were 9 of us, and none of us were disappointed. My grandparents had burgers, and they said that it was the best burger they'd ever had. My other grandparents had chicken dishes, and they also said that their dish was very nice. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were very flavoursome. The waitress was lovely and offered me a free glass of prosecco beings it was my birthday. The service was absolutely brilliant. It is safe to say that we will definitely be coming back in the future!

Fantastic evening for the 2024 New Year’s Eve celebrations! We went for the bar only tickets which provided us with a cocktail on arrival and champagne at midnight. We really enjoyed the event, the jazz band providing the entertainment were top notch and the atmosphere was great! Well done Cosy Club! - your staff made an evening for us to remember 🥂

One of our favourite places that we discovered in 2023 thanks to our youngest daughter! My husband is a huge fan of the breakfast and my new favourite dish is the handmade salmon fishcakes! The staff are all friendly and helpful and the decor of what used to be a bank is beautiful. Price range is mid to high but worth it for special occasions and "date days"

There's no point in me telling how good the food is, you almost certainly know its phenomenal! Also, their ability to cater for all dietary requirements, without any hesitations, is amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff are brilliant, from the moment you enter the door to the moment you steal yourself to leave the very inviting atmosphere (special mentions to Liv, who to say she is worth her weight in gold would be an underestimation of her value). Cannot wait to come back again!

Had a lovely pre- Christmas meal here. Good number of gluten free options and the lady who was serving us was really careful about making sure my condiments and meal were all kept separate and gluten free - meal was delicious. Posh feel but also relaxed so great for special occasions.

A HUGE thank you to the Cosy Club for fitting us in at extremely short notice for Christmas lunch for three people after we were badly let down by another restaurant in Norwich. We had the three course festive lunch today, one of which was vegan. The food was great, although the brussels sprouts were very under cooked but that is just a minor thing. Staff were attentive, atmosphere was was lovely and relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Cosy Club and will definitely be back.

We had an early dinner here whilst staying in Norwich to do some Christmas shopping. As it was late afternoon and before the evening rush it was quite empty when we were there, we just walked in and took a chance, and we were given a choice of tables to sit at. We both had burgers and we enjoyed the food, the venue could have been a little warmer as it was a cold wet day outside, but overall we enjoyed our meals here.

Before i start this review I would like to say that the food at this place was at a good standard. The prominent issue with this restaurant is the management. The staff were in complete disarray and its was clear from how we were treated at the table. We actually got told we had 15 minutes left at our table before our mains had even arrived. They clarified that this was a demand from the manager but after we explained we hadn't even received our food yet, it was agreed we could actually enjoy our dinner. Our table was booked months in advance and I've never felt so pressured to speed up. Multiple members of staff were looking and pointing at our table making us feel super uncomfortable (we didn't get names but one of the main issues points was a man with a golf hat and long beard, please watch out as he was not nice). This was persistent throughout the entire meal. After we were leaving one of out friend group was coming back from the toilet and they could hear the staff members being vocal about we should've rushed leaving and we were the inconvenience to them. A reminder to earlier in this review, we hadn't even got our food when they was pressuring us . I would never come here again and to be honest I believe they should apologize as this is unacceptable hospitality.

Not my usual type of haunt. I'm normally at smaller, independent venues. However I attended a Christmas meal here on a Friday night in peak Christmas party season. The restaurant was packed, with a number of large parties throughout. My expectations are always adjusted at this time of year considering the pace of volume of food being cooked and served. They needn't have been. The food was delightful and the service impeccable. Really impressed. The sharing starters are a great set up and the meals are both tasty and perfectly cooked. I went out with a family member the following night who had also recently visited and had the exact same experience and reactions...and this person lives the find fault. So well done. And special thanks to our server Ryan who was brilliant!

Enjoyed a (last minute booked) breakfast for 10 people at the Cosy club. Staff were accommodating for pushchairs that we needed to remain with us and even blocked off an area to make this happen. Breakfast was absolutely lovely all arrived together and was very hot! Children’s portions were big enough for the two little ones to share which was brilliant! Adapted meals for allergies and staff were very polite. Would definitely return.

Christmas at Cosy Club, I was really excited to try there Christmas specials. For Starters we had the pulled beef & smoked bacon croquettes and halloumi. Both were really nice and such good quality! I loved the flavours, I would definitely have it again. One of the best starters I’ve ever had! For mains we had the festive dirty chicken burger and house beef burger. I loved the festive chicken burger it had Mac n cheese, bre, cranberry and a little pigs in blanket. Such a great burger design with so many flavours. A salty and sweet combination. I loved the architecture, so beautiful and such a lovely atmosphere. I 100% recommend cosy club, Can’t wait to go back again!

I had a burger and chips and it was the best burger I have ever tasted. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was very nice as it use to be an old bank down stairs still has the bank valtes which you can privately hire one out and they look very nice. Recommend going.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The service is fast & super efficient. The decor is wonderful. The food is outstanding! This is a fairly expensive restaurant. However, we'll worth every penny for this dining experience. I would recommend that you book in advance it is popular & with good reason.

Bedazzled by the staff, the service and, the fantastic food the two of us received at Cozy Club, today. Inside the old Bank building, this venue is quirky, enigmatic and, vibrant in its uniqueness. The lighting is atmospheric, the staff and their attire are both excellent and, our experience of the food was delightful. Do go, definitely do! Make sure you wander downstairs if you are able, the many rooms and walls, the pictures and history, the function room & bar, it’s all quite compelling The breakfasts are full of flavours; filling and congenial to hungry tummies 😊 £36 bill for two breakfasts with extras, and three coffees. Not bad at all for the quality and depth of effort on our plates. It has to be said our main server was a gentleman called Tom, who said he was quite new- with impeccable customer service and politeness; a good tip was given. Thank you, Douglas Valentine

Not the most budget friendly eatery in Norwich, but you certainly get what you pay for. A truly enjoyable experience with friendly staff and excellent food. The cocktails are thoroughly recommended.

What a absolute Great place. Cosy Club Norwich set in a former bank, Deco fab, Staff fab, Food WoW! (Xmas evening menu) , Highly Recommended, definitely be calling in again on our next visit.

Service excellent. Vegan squash salad was tasty but extremely poor value at £15 for a little bit of squash, leaves, seeds and dressing. Would have hoped for more veg in the salad, and really for that price roasted chickpeas and rice or quinoa. I had to choose this on a hurry because my first choice was off.

Stopped here after doing a walking tour of Norwich city. Staff were really friendly and the place itself is amazing, its like stepping back in time. Food and drinks were excellent. Will definitely go again.
