Great real ale pub attached to Chalk Hill Brewery. Excellent selection of hone and guest beers. Truly something you would want to show a foreigner as amongst the best of an exemplary British pub. Darts board with good lighting regularly used. Outside seating on the road side much quieter since traffic restrictions. A lively place with a fair blend of regular and irregulars. Staff work hard to provide prompt and efficacious service. Food available which sounds good but can't say I have tried yet. Modern feel environment without falling to tacky, brash or gimmick. Thoroughly recommend and close to the station making it accessible to all.

A really good pub with exceptionally friendly staff. The menu wasn't just your normal pub fare, which is great to see. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but when it arrived, it was excellent, with good portions. The pub is also the CHB brewery, but unfortunately, driving meant I couldn't take advantage of it. Oh, and it's dog friendly. Recommended.

Fantastic. The staff were unbelievable, on the ball all the time, never waited long to be served and very pleasant, they are a credit to the pub. The food looked great and there was plenty of people eating, the atmosphere was great also very animal friendly. Thank you all for a great day and hopefully plenty more to come. Been in this place a good few times since last I left a report and its also a great rugby place to meet people and I will carry on using this place. Met up with friends for start of 6 nations Rugby and the atmosphere was fantastic and as usual the staff were great thank you for a great evening. Met up with friends last night as they will only go there because of the atmosphere and as usual it was great, thank you again for a lovely evening and also your staff were great.

I I recently visited this bar and had a pretty disappointing experience. I ordered a beer, which was actually quite good, but the service and attitude of the staff ruined the evening. Since I was hungry, I asked if their kitchen was open, but they said it was already closed. I had some crisps with me, but a staff member rudely informed me that outside food wasn’t allowed and insisted I buy their overpriced, flavorless Walkers crisps instead. When I declined because I didn’t like the flavors they offered, they actually threatened to throw my crisps in the bin. The bartender’s attitude was awful and completely soured what could have been an enjoyable night. Not impressed at all.

AS good as you can get for a pub meal. Everything from the greeting upon arrival, to service to food to paying the bill was just right, could not ask for more. We ordered 5 tapas meals each was fantastic, fresh, well presented and a shear delight to consume. The only comment is that they were bought out nearly the same time, would have preferred a small gap between dishes. A real credit to teh servers and management

It's a Sunny match Sunday, and any British pub worth it's salt is prepared for a crush of people looking to while away an afternoon in the sunshine. The Coach and Horses takes the business if being a pub seriously. It has all the charm and warmth of an independent, family run pub but with all the trimmings of a national chain pub. The staff are all top notch, friendly, welcoming people that all seem to have pride in the pub. The menu has a fantastic blend of proper pub favourites and some variants towards those who fancy something a little different - battered sausage and curry sauce is a great beer snack! The bar is phenomenally stocked and I was delighted to find a selection of iced teas refreshing to the palate and pocket too! Considering how busy this place was, with loud outbreaks of football singing, it never seems rowdy or overly boisterous. You'd feel very safe here with your family. The beer garden is lovely and has a roof for when it rains, but on Sunny days like this it catches those glorious rays all afternoon all the better to spend a while enjoying the beautiful British summertime.

A lovely place to find - a few friends decided to call in from south of the border and were brilliantly impressed by the welcome, the quality and choice of the beers, and the food. Simple session ales like the Chalk Hill Tap are very moreish and the pub was pretty busy over a lunchtime. The chilli is fantastic, packs a punch, and the rest of the food, including the specials are mouthwatering. Prices for the food are a bit higher than other places, but the beer is certainly value for money. I would definitely come here again, and would make a journey just for this place.

As pubs go this I would stay is up there as one of the best in Norwich. They use to (Before covid) have an amazing Chef who would do honestly the best roast dinners in Norwich. Now sadly the food is more less "Pub Grub" and more Wings / Fries with loaded toppings. The food itsself isnt bad, quite nice, but it isnt the quality for price that it use to be which is quite a shame. The beer selection is still solid, with multiple from the CHB and a number of guests. They have gotten rid of the Old Rosie Cider, and havent yet replaced it with something like Lily's, spoke to the barman about this and they were very honest saying they are simply priced out of what would be acceptable in their pub. Fair enough. Let me put it this way, there are 2 pubs closer to my home, and I would and do still frequent the Coach and Horses as its better than both of the others. Yes im throwing shade at you William the 4th and Jubilee.

Came in for a lunch time treat and a few of us had the breakfast. The bacon was excellently cooked and the beans were nice and thick with the addition of garlic. The young lady who I went with has a lot of experience with foot long sausages and thought the it was a little dry. Although the girth, length and shape was pretty decent. I thought the bacon jam was a unwelcome addition, would have been nice if it was warm. The black pudding was very tasty but probably needed to be a little crispier. The sourdough bread was what I would say “crispy”, if you did not have teeth it would be extremely difficult to eat. Luckily I do so was ok. It was a nice breakfast though Others had the chicken sarnie which they thought was 8/10 with the nice homemade chips

This has been my local when staying in Norwich for nearly twenty years, their hoppy Tap Bitter is my favourite Norwich beer. This week I tried a couple of others including The Good The Pale and The Hoppy, which was very turbid and sour. On returning it the barman he pushed back, claiming it's unfined and other customers had been drinking it that day. I was having none of it and insisted he change it for the Tap Bitter. If it really is supposed to taste like this I suggest customers should be warned before they buy it, or even better just brew the tried and trusted regulars like Tap and CHB, and don't attempt any more weird beers. After all, £5 a pint is hardly Wetherspoon prices, experiences like this leave a nasty taste in the mouth, in more ways than one.

Lunch with disabled parents. Friendly welcome by Maggie who showed us several table options and offered to take parents to and from the disabled toilet. Also severed by Maggie at the bar - busy lady as the restaurant was pretty full. Food a little slow arriving but the mixed grill and gammon we properly cooked not fling and ping when happens elsewhere. Mixed was excellent with good cuts of steak and gammon and quality sausages. Also FOC swap to jacket potato. Deserts also nice and meals not overpriced with their 25% off deals. Toilets could do with a revamp / some TLC. Otherwise very good find for lunch.
