Only popped in for one drink but will definitely go back The amount of different beer, real ale and ciders on offer , there is something for everyone. Plus NOT expensive

Find it challenging to find the words to describe this place. It has to be one of the best pubs, if not the best pub in Britain. Great ales, nice atmosphere, interesting memorabilia, what a place. As we were leaving, a member of staff broke off his conversation to thank us for our custom - sums this place up, pure class.

Really annoying. This brilliant pub arrived after I lived on West End Street years ago (when I think it was the New Inn) - I would never have left! Simply one of the best pubs in the country.

The pub is elite. Beer is good and local, with lovely staff and good community. Can get food from Harry's Soul Kitchen delivered, which is incredible too.

Only drank in here but it is a quintessential English pub. No niggles

My partner introduced me to this place, im from skegness and we dont have anything like this, i absolutley love the ciders and the decor, toilets were lovely and spotless too which gives extra brownie points, always on my "places to visit" list when i come to norwich

I absolutely love this place. It's a little gem hidden away, but well worth a pint or 5! Being a small pub, you're not overwhelmed by the 42 beer taps and endless options. There's fat cat brews along with other favourites. The barstaff were super helpful, and I recommend getting some of the Fat Cat merch to take home! Cheers 🍻

An excellent, friendly pub with a fantastic selection of real ales - including many from their own brewery. Their selection of bitters are especially good, but the rest of their selection of pales, ambers and mild cater to a broad range of tastes so guaranteed to find something you like.

Fabulous traditional pub with the added bonus for me of a cask conditioned Stout straight from the barrel. The discount on buying two pint jugs is very welcome.

A beer lovers pub, with lots of choice of real ales to suit all tastes. We like the "Incredible" beer and often buy the 2 pint jug. Reasonable prices too.

A place to be. Pints are impeccable and fresh (well priced too) brewed by the local brewery of the same name. Though enough guest beers and imported stuff. Cozy and beautiful this pub feels like home even when quite busy with friendly locals. Plenty of seating outside too.

For people who want proper beer, visit a proper pub. This one.

I feel welcomed every time I visit. friendly staff.... patient because it takes a while for me to choose a drink form the large drinks menu. beer is excellently well kept.... and not over priced. what more can you ask for!

First visit and definitely won’t be the last. Popped in on the homeward leg of a long walk and ordered a pint of bitter. There was a great atmosphere and I took my pint outside where there was plenty of seating to enjoy it in the sun. One of the best pints I’ve had in a long time.

Fantastic environment and beers

I’ve been going here for over 35 years, though not as often as I would like as I live far away. It remains one of my top five pubs in the country. Always a high quality range of ales, well kept and perfectly served in the correct shaped glass by brilliant staff. They allow and welcome dogs, a key point for me. Try as I may, I’m unable to find any fault. Apart from my recent visit where I noticed ‘Greene King Abbot’. This in my mind an abomination, as this Massive corporation, Chinese owned, holds such an exclusive grip on many pubs in my area and others, that I’ll not enter their pubs let alone drink their mass produced ‘pelch’.

Old world pub that is very dark inside and seems to be inhabited mainly by older males. I was with my husband and was the only female 'apparent' in the place, very noisy and not a very comfortable atmosphere. The beer was OK that I had, but didn't think it was an exciting range of beer to have on in the winter months, considering it 'has been' CAMRA national pub of the year, but also seems to be missing from the Good Beer Guide for a few years! This suggests maybe standards are slipping in the real ale world at the pub, as was my observation !

Heaven for real ale drinkers with a vast choice of beers and ciders

The fat cat is a traditional street corner pub, more than that it is a great pub. Deservedly regularly featured in the campaign for Real ales good beer guide. It has a fantastic range of top quality Cask conditioned real ales, and an excellent selection of ciders and bottled beers. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. This cosy pub has an interesting display of old pub memorabilia and is always busy when I have called in. This is favourite pub in Norwich, highly recommended.

Had a quick pint after Sunday lunch and was surprised at how empty it was, till I remembered it was Sunday lunchtime! Ordered a Tom Cat as it'd be rude not to have a local brew and it was as nice as ever. Always a pleasure to come here when I'm in Norwich, can't wait to come again.

Great pub and worth the trip away from the city centre. Fantastic large selection of ales and craft beers on tap. Plenty of seating and character. Highly recommend if you're a beer lover but its a cracking pub too if you're not.

The real ale in this pub is really the best in Norwich. Always served in peak condition so that every mouthful is delightful.

Bei "In der Nähe" zeigte Google Maps nur 4 Fußminuten von unserem nicht wirklich zentral gelegenen Quartier entfernt ein Pub. Das konnte man ja mal versuchen. Wow, alles andere wäre ein unverzeihlicher Fehler gewesen. Bisher war der Nelson Pub in Sydneys Rocks mein Favorit. Der wurde von The Fat Cat vom Sockel gestossen. Einfach super, tolle Atmosphäre - leider zu wenig Zeit um alle Biere auszuprobieren.

What a truly brilliant pub. The range of cider and beer is breathtaking and the service is great. It has to be my favourite pub in Norwich... of the few I have now been to! Go to The Fat Cat - you will not regret it.

An amazing choice of real ales and ciders on sale here the most I have ever seen in one place... The bar staff were very friendly and very patient when it took me so long to choose my ale... no music just conversation with like minded people....

Brilliant pub for real ale; simply excellent. This is not a food pub but that's fine - rolls pies crisps available if a small hunger pang sets in.

went in here for a drink prior to eating across the road. seems like a throwback to the good ole days of a local pub and I am glad we went in. If you like that then I strongly recommend a visit and a superb selection of ales.
