Nice little pub on St Benedict's Street. Beers are good. Staff is friendly. Lovely - and quite large - beer garden. I haven't tried the food there yet... but they have a BBQ hut in the garden that serves food on Fri and Sat that looks very tempting!

The huge beer garden is a highlight of this city centre pub. But also notable is the selection of real ales from Grain Brewery - I believe this is Norwich's main pub for this South Norfolk brewery. I've also spied a rather well curated selection of whiskies (Ledaig, Port Charlotte and others). Food: bar snacks and boards only.

Met friends for a drink (at their recommendation). Nice friendly staff. Was not expecting the beer garden to be as big in the heart of the City with plenty of space and adequate shade to cool down from the sun. A real little gem and will definitely be visiting again!

Review of The Plough Norwich If you’re looking for one of the friendliest places in Norwich, you have to visit The Plough Norwich. My friends and I were in Norwich for an event at the Arts Centre. I will confess that we are from Suffolk and don't know the city at all. The Plough was in the perfect place for a quick snack and drink. The interior is charming, unselfconsciously rustic and friendly. We were greeted by the extremely lovely young staff who advised us on their cheese plank. This was one of the highlights of our night. Maybe it's a Norfolk thing. Generous chunks of cheese, crackers and home picked cucumbers and a bag of crisps was just what we needed before the show. I ordered an orange juice and to my delight, it wasn't out of a carton but freshly squeezed. Fantastic service, great ambience. Also it was full, a good sign on a Wednesday night. Heartily recommended.

Just had a couple of drinks recently but Wife is happy as finally she can have a tea/coffee in there and it's £2 unlimited. (She only had one but worth knowing.) Love the Slate in there, shame it's kegged as it's a bit cold, Hopefully it will return on cask at some stage. Anyway lots of other beers to try. Staff were great too, especially the New Order chap and the girl on Sunday. Sat night we went in and the fire was going. Lovely. Returned on Sunday and it wasn't. Hey ho. Could have done with it as was a bit cold. Less customers though of course. The outlook outside looks freshly painted and looks fantastic have to say. Hopefully we will spend some more time in there now.

One of, if not the best, city centre pubs in Norwich in my opinion. Run/supplied by Grain brewery the drink selection is top tier with a cocktail menu to boot. The inside is intimate and cosy in winter or summer, whilst the spacious outside gets the full attention of the sun when we're fortunate enough to get it. Board games are provided (including shut the box) if you want em, and really help to give even more reason to stay for another. Also the staff are absolutely lovely and always helpful if you've any questions.
