Cuatro de nosotros tuvimos un asado el domingo y fue uno de los mejores que he probado, la carne estaba tierna y lo suficiente de todo. El personal no podría ser más servicial, en general un muy buen pub, buena suerte para ellos.

Staff are always friendly. We are becoming regulars for a Sunday roast as this is the best in Norwich for roast at the moment for us.the atmosphere is good too

Mothers Wake. Thanks to Dan and all the team for the lovely food and great service . Nothing was too much trouble and this helped ease us through what could have been a difficult time. The 'function' room was ideal for our purpose. Good facility.

14 of us went for meal on aunts 80 birthday staff made us so welcome and all food served together and all hot and tasty can not fault anything

So this was our first visit to mr pickwicks... Taken to our table and was asked for drinks soon as we sat down so didnt really have a chance to check the wine list or any drinks infact. Once we ordered our drink the server came back to let us know our pinot is not available.... it was 7pm om a Saturday... At the point of our food order we get informed they have sold out of beef burgers and three of us wanted the burger sadly. The main part of the menu was burgers. Went for the lamb burger and boy was that a mistake. Three cold lamb burgers with nothing about them. No check back from our server to let him know our food was cold. Restaurant had barely any people in it but our server was busy some how. After waiting for so long we gave in and just had to eat the cold food. Once I managed to track our server and inform him all he could do was say sorry and I will pass your message to the manager. I asked if the manager was around and the server said no no management on shift. Found it mind boggling that a new starter restaurant has no management on a Saturday evening after only recently opening. Food was taken off the bill but we would have rather eaten hot food and enjoyed nice service. Should have gone over the road.

Since our favourite place for Roast dinner (The Reindeer) changed hands back to a music venue, we’ve struggled to find another great place to match, however the new Mr Pickwicks is definitely top of our list after a recent visit. We didn’t book, but we’re found a table with no fuss despite it being a busy day. Staff were helpful and knew the menu making good recommendations for what may suit our son. The food itself was absolutely delicious, well cooked, good variety of veg &cauliflower cheese, crunchy roasts and generous portions. Can’t wait to revisit. Thank you.

Four of us visited for Sunday roast based on reviews, three had beef 1 had chicken, good size portions loads of vegetables and lots of very nice gravy, we had very good service and there was a nice atmosphere, will try their Steak night on Thursdays as the meat was good quality.

Spent Sunday afternoon having drinks with friends in the sun. Roberto was a superb host, ensuring our glasses were always full and even providing table service given it was early and not too busy. Roberto was a most charming, friendly host and if he is a reflection of the pub as a whole then it will be serious competition for the Black Horse across the road. Good selection of drinks, clean, cosy atmosphere inside and great seating in the garden with a fair amount of parking. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, since changing from the Earlham Arms food has reverted to pub food. Nice, but just pub food. Staff good.

Visited the under new ownership pub and liked the new approach. The food was really good, but might need an extra member of staff. All it needed was a few people at the bar and things got a little dis-organised with no-one quite sure what to do, with lots of chaotic rushing around and apologies for the wait. One behind bar; one dealing with diners and one 'floating' might help relieve customer frustration. Just a thought as new process beds itself down .....

Well what can I say about the new team at this re-vamped Norwich eatery . My husband and I hadn’t eaten here since it was previously the Earlham Arms , but were convinced by the Manager Dan to try one of their recommended Sunday lunches .and we were very pleased we did !! The staff here are very friendly and seem to really enjoy their work which comes across in a great smiley attitude . Alex at the bar served us drinks and a bottle of wine and despite being busy had time for a chat about the food and what’s on offer as choices of different options on Sunday menu . We agreed to both try the roast beef and were assured it wouldn’t disappoint . The food arrived served promptly and with both polite and enthusiastic presentation . The plate was plentiful with an enormous perfectly baked Yorkshire pudding , a selection of at lest five veg and we were also provided with an additional side plate of further additional vegetables . The food smelt amazing , the plates were hot and looked delicious even before we had tasted it . The vegetables were cooked to absolute perfection , the beef served lean and pink , the roast potatoes were delightful and all in all it was without doubt the best roast we have had in a very long time . We both enjoyed the whole meal and neither of us could fault anything on the plate , it was all absolutely outstanding so well done chef for an excellent dinner thank you !! The service and food here were both superb , we will definitely be returning very soon !

We visited here for Sunday lunch in June after going earlier in the week for a dink with friends . The bar has been nicely refurbished and the staff were very friendly which encouraged us to try it again another day for food. We booked at fairly short notice for a Sunday lunch and were offered a good selection of choices and decided on the roast beef . The food was frankly amazing , probably the best roast dinner we had ever had in Norwich and possibly Norfolk. There was a fantastic selection of perfectly prepared vegetables, delicious roast beef ( served pink and perfectly cooked ) , beautiful roast potatoes and a home cooked very generous Yorkshire pudding . We were both amazed that the food was such a high standard and will in future be making this gastro pub our go to place for Sunday lunch . I would like to thank the staff for the excellent smiley service and compliment the chef on providing such an excellent Sunday roast. Thanks and well done to you all, we will definitely be back and would have no hesitation in recommending to others !!

Had two Sunday roasts - absolutely lovely. Couldn’t fault then. I left full and very satisfied. We will certainly return - I just hope they keep this standard going - and don’t get greedy on the price - which currently represents good value. We sat outside which was delightful - inside the pub looked ok / perfectly clean etc. Drinks were reasonable priced - a coke for £1.20 Staff very friendly. Good luck with you new venture - you deserve success on today’s performance.

I try to be honest in my reviews; praise where it is due, constructive criticisms etc, so I have given this some due thought and I can't help but to say that this might just be the best Sunday Lunch I have ever bought. Our party of six all felt the same way. Cooked to perfection, attractively arranged on the plate, friendly service in a stylish setting and not at all expensive. Probably the sweetest pork I have ever tasted, a wide veg selection , lovely potatoes. Dessert of Sticky Toffee was equally scrumptious. I really can't praise it enough. Only recently opened, I just hope that they can keep this standard going when they get established and busy.
