Service at the bar is a joke, forcing people to queue when it gets busy. Do they know Covid is over??? For a “sports bar” don’t seem to know how to get the sport on.

Very welcoming, great customer care. Good value meals. This is a dog friendly pub and has a great atmosphere. They have used artificial flowers which gives it a lovely summer vibe.

Always great service, great food and a great atmosphere. Especially when there is a big game on or an event. Staff all work so hard.

Came to the Woolpack Inn on Saturday 27th July. Had a lovely conversation with CJ. Nice to see an american working in a Uk pub! She was an absolute delight to talk to. An asset to the Woolpack Inn. The other two ladies in the bar were nice too. Kiera and Bex. Heard them having a laugh behind the bar, definitely a friendly environment. I would come again and maybe try some food next time!

We came here for a stag do and the staff were well receiving of us. Service was prompt at the bar and on the app and the food was very nice (I recommend the Katsu loaded fries). We would definitely come here again.

We came in for the England games, and what an awesome experience we had. The atmosphere was amazing. We hadn't booked, but got in early enough to nab a free table and were glad we did, it was so busy. Hats off to the team working, they did not stop for hours. There was a bit of a wait to get to the bar, but that was expected considering how busy it was.

The 2 stars go to the nice atmosphere and the friendly lady behind the bar! If you want to eat, go somewhere else!! I came here because of the good references and ordered a salt & pepper chilli chicken. What I got were baked chicken strips and chips which looked as if they'd come straight out of the freezer. There were a few cold pepper strips on top - but no onions, no herb garnish and definitly no spices or chili. The curry sauce tasted nothing like curry. It was just a brown mush with a thick skin on top. And the sauce bottles at my table and the next one were nearly empty... There was some scent though as the table smelled of spilled beer. Sorry guys - this place really deserves better!

Had a great meal had the hot honey burger which was delicious, the atmosphere for the England game was immense . Will be returning for the next game , the management despite being busy and staff were great .

This is the second time that I have been here and I can't say enough about it. It's got a great atmosphere, great customer service and great food. I shall be visiting more often.

Ordered a bowl of chips - tasty, but expensive for the small amount given. Good choice of drinks, but it was karaoke night and the clientele was loud, obnoxious, rude and not the type of people I feel comfortable around

I popped in here on a few occasions during a recent stay in Norwich … Good pub … Good service …. Good beer and quite a large selection to choose from also … Sky and BT sports on TV …. I would definitely come back here again when I’m next in Norwich …..

Had the new chicken flatbread, it was well presented and full of flavour and was nice to have something a bit different for lunch

Food not very tasty. Googled parking before going, free parking supposedly. Had to purchase a ticket for £3. Would not refund after ordering my food and drink. Wont be going back to Greene king.

I absolutely love coming to the Woolpack Inn and whenever I have family visiting from abroad this is always the first place I bring them especially for the Sunday Roast! Today I brought my sister to try out the turkey and beef duo and she loved it! It came nice and hot from the kitchen! I’ve been coming to the Woolpack for years now and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming! Would recommend it to anyone!

Outstanding food in a very busy city centre pub. Open for breakfast and all day for food and drinks. Plenty of screens for the sport fans. Car park is very small but plenty of other options are not too far away. Staff are welcoming and the facilities are clean. A short walk from the shops and visitor attractions.

Nice vibe. Food tasty. Staff helpful. What more can you ask for?! Had the sharing deals and a bottle of wine. Good value!

Regulars in here but I was a bit dissapointed with my fish and chips yesterday..... fish was quite small and the peas were gritty......🤮. Better in spoons. Pls do better as we like the woolly

An excellent pub with really good service. The staff always have a smile and nothing is too much. An ideal place to watch any sport. Would highly recommend The Woolpack.

Enjoyed playing darts and eating here, the only let down which I will say is quite a significant one is the parking situation. The first two times I did not spot the signs as they are not clear and obvious, despite the owner insisting there is lots of signs (which there is to be fair) most people in the reviews including myself did not notice them. Nor did any of the people I took to the pub. In all honesty from what I can see is damaging your reputation, please move the meter to the front of the car park with a sign saying pay and display above so it is obvious. I am now awaiting two tickets which will need to be rescinded. I will still continue to use the pub as they do offer £3 off the parking which isn’t enough sometimes as I like playing darts for a while and now I know the parking situation and understand its reasons have no problem with it other than it not being clear and obvious despite the many attempts at making it such.

For visit for a while used to be a regular haunt back in the 80s. Lovely old norwich pub glad to see that it's still going strong and very busy great selection of drinks and a good atmosphere 👍

I had a Scotch Egg and the Turkey and ham pie. Both were tasty. The pie's top crust was not burnt but still extremely hard. It was difficult to break through even with a knife. Staff were friendly, though I waited at least five minutes (menu down) for someone to come take my order, even though there were 3 wait staff within 4 meters of my table.

Just popped in and we all had the Sunday Roast beef/turkey duo, delicious! Succulent Turkey, tasty roasters, cauliflower cheese, gravy, Yorkshire, carrots and peas, a good sized dinner, good value £13.29. Great service and a very nice, decorative pub, lovely atmosphere.

We hired the whole pub for a private function (Christmas party). Really good service, food selection was excellent with a variety of hot and cold. Will be booking again for next year

Pub itself is nice and welcoming, but the situation they've gotten themselves into regarding their car park is horrendous. Britannia Parking seems determined to make it as difficult as possible to spot that it is in fact a pay and display (poor signage, hidden meter) and I, like many reviewers, fell into their trap. I certainly won't be returning - there are plenty of options where parking isn't so convoluted.

Hello, I would just like to say what excellent food I had on Friday evening, and exceptional service by a very cheerful and helpful young lady. I think her name was Michaela.

I've always enjoyed coming to the woolpack for drinks. The staff are always so welcoming especially Michaela who greeted us with a smile and was happy to help. Made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

One of the best places I’ve been in for a long while, food is very delicious and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and kind, Amazing atmosphere definitely will become my regular go to when wanting food drink and a good time.

Not too bad at all! I visited mid (Tuesday) week so a relatively quiet place, that said there was live sport on and a good mix of people. I had food, (mixed grill) which was good value and cooked well. Bar staff friendly too 👌🏼

I used to go and with the way Norwich parking was it was great I could go eat have a drink and park my car and come back have another drink and bite to eat before leaving. However went there yesterday and now you can no longer register your car at the counter as customer ... so from now on I will not be going there as parking is too high and onto of that you need to pay cash. The guy on counter was like no we don't do that even though I knew you did. Then took the board of the shelf... well one less customer and roughly 25 pound in your till instead ill pay it for parking take care

Good food, excellent service, a lovely atmosphere, reasonably priced as well. Has it's own carpark and is wheelchair friendly.

We'd booked a table here but when we turned up there was a massive noisy retirement party going on and our table was right in the middle. We ordered a bottle of wine first on the app but 20 minutes later it still hadn't arrived so I went up to the bar to ask. A rather testy bar operative didn't apologize but said they were 'going to do it next'. We also ordered food on the app and that came quickly. Our two burgers were quite good but my fellow diner's brioche roll was burnt. We may try it again on a quieter day but we didn't particularly enjoy the experience this time, sorry.

Not just your usual run-of-the-mill wetherspoons/greene king experience. The pub is spacious with covered outdoor seating. I went with a group of 5 and it came to £10 each which is an incredibly fair price for the food. I had the katsu curry which was of a really high quality and my partner got a steak which cost £10.

Watched the RWC final in here on a rainy Saturday night. The place was full of Kiwis and Saffers. Great atmosphere. Had to wait a bit for drinks but was to be expected.

Very quiet in here , plenty of staff about and my meal came quickly , not the cheapest pub to eat and my dirty plate wasn't taken away

Great staff, warm welcome and good table service. Dog made very welcome too. Good range of house and guest cask ales in very good condition. Nice layout with a variety of seating types but some upholstery and furniture a bit tired and grubby. Burger and fries pretty decent. Sunday roast beef unfortunately not good on our visit. For a drink I'll look forward to visiting again but possibly not for food.

Being disabled outside the pub was a disabled parking space, who would have known it was owned by a parasite company extorting fines out of people. You would oh I don't know a pub w 1ould have a carpark. I did not see signs saying not owned by the pub these people scammed 60.00 out of me. SO BE WARNED THERE IS NO PUB CARPARK THERE.1 Referring to the reply by the woolpack, I paid the fine from my disabled money I get, why would your pub not have a free carpark there are a lot of disabled people who live in the city and like myself can't walk more than a few steps without being in a lot of pain so a 60 pound fine is a lot of money and have made me feel very depressed as I loved the food and the atmosphere at your pub.

Nice chicken and ham pie, only downside was the undercooked broccoli. Staff apologised but no replacement forthcoming.

A variety of services, including hotels, rooms, restaurants, convenient transportation, suitable for relaxation or business. The restaurant serves many dishes. The parking space is cramped. You have to find a place to park yourself. It is comfortable and modern. The receptionist is polite. tidy

One member of staff working and didn't seam to care , tables full of dirty plates and glasses . Staff member seamed to want to spend time with young baby than server. Such a shame used to be such a nice pub .

Had our wedding reception here,paid for a buffet,when the food came out there wasn't enough to feed my guests,it was embarrassing,staff were good in trying to sort it out, actually got a part refund, embarrassed that my wedding party had to buy their own meals though.

Has pay and display car park which is not obvious at first and meters are hidden at back of building. Food excellent and deserves 5 stars but paying £3 for parking is ridiculous hence only 3 stars. The car park is not owned by the pub but by Britainnia Parking so not very inviting. Inner city location so very busy and noisy so that may be the reason for charging to stop use by non customers.
