Stayed recently, and I did like being there other than the staff refusing to accept scottish money saying. we have had a scottish forgery so we dont accept any scottish money (really). The most commonly forged currency in the uk is a bank of England £20 note. There are many ways to verify if money is genuine pens and machines. This prejudice needs to stop. Post office state Scottish money is accepted but not given back out except in Scotland. And all banks will accept Scottish notes.

The food was superb it was a last-minute stop and the staff did well to get us a table without a booking. Thanks

Five of us went on Mother’s Day for a roast dinner. The food was very good although two of the party reported slightly firm roast potatoes. We sat inside where the service and atmosphere were good. Haven’t been here for over 30 years and it’s still a great pub.

Best local plaice :D in the area. I looked into the 1 star ratings and yeah just facepalm.. 🤣 Really impressed with this take out

Incredible people and breakfast - love the way they ask you to build your own breakfast. Amazing ambience with lovely hosts. Highly recommend as the first morning stop when in Norwich :)
