Visited again for Breakfast and was most impressed that the high standards are being maintained . The food was most excellent and the proprietors friendly .

Friendly service, excellent coffee, nice wide selection of food. Good quality, well presented and reasonably priced.

I had bought a wheel of tete de moine last Christmas, which The Cheese Plate had posted to me. It was great and I wanted another one this Christmas but this time I thought I'd drive up to Buntingford and see what else they have. Fortunately I was able to buy their last wheel of tete de moine, which, surprisingly, was the same price as last year! But they had some lovely other cheeses too - a spread of English, French, Swiss, Italian and Spanish I believe. The highlight was the creamy/gooey gorgonzola but I also bought a small pot of garlic jelly - something I hadn't seen before and an excellent morbier, far better than what's on offer in supermarkets.

Lovely welcome with lovely food. A return visit can’t come soon enough. High Tea was excellent. Plenty of Tea to choose from and my wife’s vegetarian tea went down a treat.

Having eaten at the George a few times I thought it was time to right a review. The food we have had on every visit is exceptional, last night we had the scotch egg and grilled king prawns followed by the sirloin steak for 2, the chefs obviously are passionate about what they do and it shows in the food. The service is unassuming but very efficient the perfect combination. We will definitely be back again.

Came for Sunday lunch and were very disappointed. We never give bad reviews but felt that we had to review this meal because we were both so unhappy with it. Very oily and tasteless. Had to cover it in salt and mustard to try and get some flavour. Staff were very nice and efficient at least.

Always an enjoyable evening when the group of us go to Nando’s. Lovely food and great service. Chris with the red hair made us all feel welcome and checked on our table a few times he was lovely.

Fabulous from start to finish. The young but very engaging and knowledgeable girls front of house and waitressing could not have been more attentive and helpful without ever being over bearing. The ambience from outside had the attraction of a fabulous Parisan side street draw and the decor and ambience inside doesn’t disappoint. A sharp eye for eclectic edge with a sumptuous undercurrent of elegant pub chic and warmth integrate sumptuously. Food was fantastic by special prawn ravioli being warm, sleek and unctuous. The pork shoulder main was generous, full of fallout and perfectly configured with the leeks and champ. The aroma from the masala sauce matched the taste. Lemon posset with a twist brought the experience to a triumphant close. A gem that holds its own and more with the higher profile Cricketers and Catch 22 , a find from a brief memorable encounter at the Saffron Walden Saturday morning market. I went today with my sister and I must say what we had was delicious the food was fresh and presented very well. We were made very welcome. Spotlessly clean! We will definitely be going back to try other food and drink 💯

My first visit today Mother’s Day, I was with my daughter and granddaughter. It is such a quaint place very well set out with a lovely garden although we ate inside. The service was very good and we we served very quickly although it was starting to get busy, the food was excellent in my opinion ( could have done with some parsnips though 😃) and with drinks a very reasonable price and am looking forward to Father’s Day next, definitely a place to return to.

Fantastic quality food and a very reasonable price. The crispy pork starter was so tasty and the whole sea bass and crab & prawn linguine were cooked to perfection. Great service and wonderful ambience

What a find! Best Goats cheese salad, lots of cheese and Avocado-absolutely delicious beautifully presented. My husband had fried Halloumi & Siracha Sourdough -delicious. Great coffee and Lemon Verbena Tea outside in Sunshine -bliss !

Great food, delivered quickly and fresh. Tuna Nicoise salad was delicious, if a little bit pricey. They were very helpful with my dog too. Small, cosy pub vibe with a great menu.

Visited with my dad for his bday lunch. Was really nice we both had the toasties and had half and half. Very busy even on a Monday lunchtime. Business is booming!

We have just been to sample the new afternoon menu. BRILLIANT can't wait to go again. It'll be even better when the weather improves and you can eat outside . Good sized nibbles in small dishes. Recommend you order all five, plenty for two to share. The chunky chips with sandwiches were heavenly.
