The Sourdough Toaster in East Hertfordshire

Visited today for brunch after seeing the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. We were warmly welcomed and picked a table. I had the triple cheese and bacon toastie and my partner had the meaty cooked breakfast. Both were beautifully presented and very delicious. The coffee was very good. The staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation. I look forward to trying something different next time.

Great food and even better service! Our first visit here as had been recommended to try it. Had a lovely brunch and loved the exceptional peach iced tea. Will be back again 👍

Me and my sister came here. We have such a lovely time and they even gave our beagle doggy sausage, which she loved! The staff make it here as they are super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming again!

Spectacular!! The menu is small but what they do they do they do so so well. The staff are just so nice, especially the young lady with the glasses.

Great and friendly location where you are well looked after to enjoy a delicious meal. 5 stars for their meaty breakfast… and their brookie (a little treat as a take away). Would definetely go back and recommend The Toaster

Located on edge of town but still busy. Great coffee, Small menu amazingly delivered. Quality ingredients especially the sausages. Dog friendly.

Absolutely love it here! The food & drink is amazing, I had a Croffle with jam and clotted cream which was divine & Madagascan Vanilla White Hot Chocolate which was beautiful. It was served very nicely too the only thing I’m annoyed about was that I didn’t get any pictures!!!! The staff are attentive, friendly, welcoming and professional. I can’t wait to come back to try another Croffle but with Nutella instead! Thank you!!

A hidden gem where you’ll find delicious food, good coffee and charming people! Highly recommend! We visited from the airport - 2 train stations away plus a 10min walk, but totally worth it! It was food for the soul, made with absolute precision, perfect taste and wonderful presentation.

With plenty of vegetarian options, The Toaster was a great choice for us. There was a bit of a wait for our food, though everything tasted lovely and service was friendly throughout.

This is the first (and not the last) time we visited The Toaster as my friend has just moved to the area. Really impressed as staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious too! We'll be back. Thanks.

Went here with a friend and my little one (3 months) and had a lovely time. Excellent options - almost everything can be made GF. Really nice atmosphere and delicious food. Family friendly too and dogs welcome! Highly recommend.

I have read some of the reviews about this restaurant and people do rave about it. Whilst I’m not going to rave, I will say the staff are pleasant and the food we had was well cooked and nicely presented. Service was a bit slow but I will not moan as the place was full with others waiting. That in itself says something as the café three doors away was empty. Overall very good .

I popped in for some breakfast with my partner and was met with a friendly greeting and seated immediately. The menu is brilliant with a variety of fresh dishes, cooked breakfasts, meaty, vegan vegetarian options and an array of fresh juices, teas and coffee's. I ordered the meaty breakfast and my partner order the avocado on toast with haloumi and wow - they did not disappoint, both were presented beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. The portion sizes were excellent and you can't argue with the price either. I will be back soon and cannot recommend the place enough. Thank you again.

Excellent breakfast. Portion size huge. Service swift. I liked that the management had lots of staff, ready for the morning rush. Payment scheme was a good idea, a QR code that you scan at your table. It meant you could be out quickly if you were in a rush. Tea/coffee always came with a shortbread biscuit. Nice little extra. Couldn't fault our experience. Will be back!
