Didn't stay but had dinner. Lovely chatty hosts. There was plenty of space, not too crowded. Special combo for burger and beer was a good deal. Handy to the shops and cathedral, parking just behind. Recommended by locals too, which is always a good sign.

Really disappointing experience. We came for the Sunday lunch and the food was undercooked- the chef seemed to be coming out and telling people that it was the quickest service of his life- seems strange to me to admit that you rushed everyone’s food and then make them pay the same prices. The gravy was watery, the carrots and parsnips were raw and the potatoes were oily. I understand having bad days but it is unacceptable to charge the same prices when you are aware the quality is bad. There are far better places In Cambridgeshire to go for a roast- especially considering this one cost £20 for a single plate of food!!

Really want to support this pub as it’s so local to us but it needs more work seeing as prices are on par with chestnut group . The bar area is cold and dark , the fire was unlit and no lights were put on on a dark rainy afternoon. We were going to stay for food but the bar area was so cold we left . The seating is also very tired and grubby and uncomfortable. We really want to use this pub as our local but unless it improves we’ll continue with other pubs that are warm comfortable and make you feel welcome . The lady behind the bar is lovely but the male manager could definitely make you feel more welcome

It is an absolute pleasure to visit a pub with well kept ales that are gravity served. If only more pubs would take the time to do this. There is also a selection of excellent sandwiches on tasty, fresh bread. The main courses were good. I recommend the Powters sausages.

I stayed at the campsite down the road so obviously had to try this pub out. This pub is fantastic, we had a good drink on the Friday night which also had a happy hour which was a bonus. Booked in for Sunday lunch which was absolutely fantastic, even had a gluten free option which I don't always find on a pub menu and my friend is wheat intolerant. The staff were friendly, funny and extremely polite, beautiful pub and amazing food. Highly recommended.

We stopped at this pub while doing a circular walk around Stretham. The greeting from the lady behind the bar was perfect. Bring a Sunday it was only a choice of a roast or the basket meals. We sat in the garden at the back and had scampi and chips. The food was excellent and very hot. The service was perfect and attentive.
