The best restaurants serving British food in East Cambridgeshire East of England

I think this should go back to being a pub, thay can still serve pud food and be opene from 12:00 till 23:00. Seven days a week.

we turned up late and staff were so kind & friendly and sorted us out proper 👍 defo reccomend, yummy food, will be back for sure

We normally look forward to our Chrstimas meal at the Three Blackbirds, but this was disappinting this year. In future we would either choose to go for a mid-week meal or eat much later on a Sunday. We appreciate that being extremely busy is good for business, it does not always translate into a 5 star dining experience for everyone.

Beautiful pub in a lovely location. Very clean and well presented. The barmaid was lovely and friendly.

Beautiful restaurant and good service. But the food was bland and extremely overpriced. Moules puttanesca was a huge pile of pasta with a thin coating of tomato sauce and maybe 3 capers. I got bread for dipping but there was no sauce! Disappointing.

Cannot fault the food, the service, or the atmosphere. Seems to get better every time, even though the last time couldn't be bettered!

Ad ogni visita nel Suffolk una cena da The Old Plough non può mancare. Tutti i piatti sono ben presentati, gustosi e sempre accompagnati da un servizio di ottime verdure di contorno. Il cavolfiore al formaggio è il mio preferito…favoloso! Ottimi anche i dolci!

Lovely friendly pub, dogs are welcome, they have a good variety of gins and different tonics on tap.

A really lovely pub and the staff were just wonderful. We were many to feel very welcome and nothing was too much hassle. The food was very nice and above the standard pub food. The reason I only give it four not five stars was the prices, which, in my opinion, was too high. You are going to pay that bit extra here, but if that’s not an issue then you will have a lovely meal in a really nice pub.

Remined me of eating out in the 70s, and not in a good way. Maybe they had an off night, but I seriously don't see how they get 4-star reviews, let alone 5. Starters were ok, but only just. Pigeon main was awful.

We visited with a group of twelve as part of a visit to the cathedral. We pre-booked our lunches and on arrival were asked for drink orders and whether we were ready for our food. This was brought out promptly and the servers were efficient and friendly. The quality of food was good at a fair price. There are lovely views of the cathedral and the gardens as you walk to the cathedral. Highly recommended.

Got our order wrong at the till, which we discovered when the wrong food arrived at our table. Staff were rude, condescending and unhelpful. Tried to lay the blame on us. Was not properly resolved. Will not be visiting again. Suggest you get the staff to read your order back to you to make sure they didn’t get it wrong. Before you hand over any money. If they do get it wrong, they will blame you.

Food isn’t very tasty , ordered a burger which was tiny , was about half the size of a usual 1/4 . Chips are dry and tasteless Glasses for drinks are dirty We was overcharged by £4 too Won’t return
