The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

Family meal, booked a table for 9 for Saturday lunchtime and was seated accordingly on a comfortable sized table. Skipped Starters but as I liked the sound of the pork teriyaki (delicious) I asked if it could be done as a main sized portion and chef did for me no problem. All our food was very tasty and very well priced, we skipped starters and had desserts and drinks worked out about 27 per head. Very friendly and efficient service and recommend a visit here👍.

We arrived fairly late in the evening without a booking, but were welcomed and made to feel comfortable in a lovely booth. A bit of banter and a bottle of wine just suited our mood and the food was fantastic! Thank you for giving us such a treat, we’d been to a funeral earlier in the day and you really helped us to lighten the mood. If we lived nearer, we’d certainly be back.

Came for the six nations games, served by Jem. Great service and a wonderful atmosphere! loved the lasagne.

Went here for a breakfast no salt or pepper or any thing on tables paid £9 for a breakfast no tea or coffee inc was very basic food and not much of it. I have had many breakfast.s all over and this was the worst so far

Tracy was lovely. The food was excellent. My husband, our 1 year old daughter, and I split the large fish and chips and it was a lot of food!

Absolutely love this pub for their steaks! Today we shared a tomahawk. They cook medium/rare how it should be cooked. Great price too !

Lovely venue with a great atmosphere , food was lovely everything came out on time and nice and hot, Ellie made our evening great, will definitely be returning

Expect a long wait for everything ,and one of the more expensive places in the town , I'm not sure if they need more staff or more chefs , I asked for white toast got brown bread lol I still enjoyed it tho but some people wouldn't like it 🤷 I go often and will go again

Best cheesy chips I ever had! 🍟 Coffee can be a little wormer but the chips made it up

We love having Sunday lunch at the Black Horse - great food, friendly staff and swift service. I must be careful not to rave about it too much otherwise more people might go there!!

Another delicious Sunday lunch enjoyed in cosy, relaxing environment with a very attentive young staff team inc Alfie, whom I observed showed understanding and composure beyond his years with a spectrum of generations.

Fantastic food and service! Special grilled haddock Warm lobster Crab Thermidor Mussels Rocky salad lovely, fresh and tasty. Homemade chips ace and fries lovely too.

Brilliant pub, friendly service and outstanding food, good local ales too. One of the best pubs I have been to in Norfolk.
