Was suggested to go here for lunch by a volunteer at melford Hall. Was easy to park. Very relaxed and nicely laid out. Found a table and went to the bar to order. Made young lady aware of a food allergy and she was very good and let the kitchen know straight away.We ordered the steak and cheese ciabatta with side salad and the fish gougon ciabatta with tartare sauce and side salad. Good coffee and food was lovely a very large portion well presented with lovely fresh salad. Lady checked bk that meals were OK 👍 very nice 👌. Would definitely recommend and return in the future when holidaying in the area in the future. Thank you 😊

Bland overcooked food, burgers were like shoe leather, surely these days with so many places serving burgers this should be the one thing that they should get right, a dry boring bland bun as well, cheap food should not be an excuse for bad food.

We visited today, family of 3 and our dog who was allowed in the bar or in the beer garden. The beer garden is lovely with plenty of well spaced tables and for younger children lots of play equipment. Very clean and well kept. Ordering can he done via app at the table or in the bar if you want to order with a human 😉 It was fairly busy but our food and drinks came in a reasonable time and the food was lovely. Chilli burger , scampi and children's sausage. All was presented well and tasted great and was reasonably priced especially considering how overheads and produce prices have rocketed. We also saw the carvery which looked delicious too so may have to go back for that. Overall a great experience, we will definitely go back and would definitely recommend.

Travelling from Sheffield to the Kent coast with a stop at Woburn Safari Park, I phoned ahead to The Bell, Woburn to enquire about a table to watch the England game. A very competent member of staff advised me the restaurant was busy with a casino night, she then phoned me back of her own accord to say she could secure us a table in the bar area where we could watch the game. What a star member of staff. Our seat in front of the TV was excellent, food was great and staff very obliging. Thank you to the lady whose name sadly I can’t remember but I appreciate her effort, just the type of staff you’d want on your team.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Disgusting, dirty bedroom and shower room. No fire escape if had to get out of the tiny window.....gross bed linen and towels....asked to be moved but no other rooms available and no availability in nearby hotels. Paid £190 2 nights with breakfast

In the summer we usually come to this pub at least once a fortnight and sometimes once a week - it was one of our favourite pubs in the area until today. I went to the bar to place our usual order for lunch to be eaten outside. As the price of the food seemed slightly higher than normal I asked for a receipt for the food. I noticed a 10% service charge had been added. I asked the young lad behind the bar what this was for. He said it’s because you are eating outside. Eh? We’ve never been charged this before nor was this charge mentioned on the.menus/website before we ordered. At this stage, I should have just asked for the food to be cancelled and asked for a full refund as it is a pet hate of mine for service charges to be added sneakily without being mentioned anywhere - if I want to leave a tip I will do so and have done so in the past but it’s not even like you take food and drinks orders outside at the tables like the previous landlord and landlady so what actually is this charge for? What a joke. If you need to charge more for food just add it to the cost advertised on the menu rather than upset existing customers. Anyway to add insult to injury the food came out a little too quickly for my liking. The chips were like luke warm and the sausages looked worryingly anaemic and were not very warm. I wondered if they had been badly reheated. Anyway I gave most of my anaemic, luke warm sausage to my dog and we left. We’d normally stay for more drinks. And also no one bothered to ask if our food was ok - they have done in the past. Sad to say we won’t be back!

We was booked in as a table of 16 then had 2 extra (children) attend last minute. The management went above and beyond to accommodate us. Food was excellent. All 18 meals came out hot, the meats were tender and the desserts were just as indulgent. Thank you to all the staff you made our mothers day! Great prices, will definitely be returning soon

Went to lunch on Friday lunchtime at the hardwicke arms while walking around the wimpole estate with my partner. Suberb! Although the bar seemed quiet we received very personal service. I had the Hamm, egg and chips which were some of the best chips I have tasted. My partner had a salmon and crayfish baked potato which was quite unusual. Both meals were decent size portion s and were delicious. The bar also has a gin the which had some unusual flavours Pity I was driving.... would certainly return if in the area again

We were going to a party nearby and opted to stay over at The Bull, for a Village Pub with rooms, it is very clean and comfortable with ample parking. The staff in the pub were warm and welcoming, the “on site chip shop” meant we could have a quick bite before heading to the party and they kindly ordered a cab and provided the number to contact for the cab back. Breakfast was very good and served with a smile. This is just what it says on the tin, with the addition of friendly staff.

Lots of empty tables outside we thought we would stop and have lunch as the big a frame board outside stated home made lunches. My partner went in to get a menu only to be told we do not do food. Might explain all the empty tables. I would suggest removing the a frame advertisement as well to save wasting other peoples time.
