The Green Man Pub & Restaurant in Broadland

We visited today, family of 3 and our dog who was allowed in the bar or in the beer garden. The beer garden is lovely with plenty of well spaced tables and for younger children lots of play equipment. Very clean and well kept. Ordering can he done via app at the table or in the bar if you want to order with a human 😉 It was fairly busy but our food and drinks came in a reasonable time and the food was lovely. Chilli burger , scampi and children's sausage. All was presented well and tasted great and was reasonably priced especially considering how overheads and produce prices have rocketed. We also saw the carvery which looked delicious too so may have to go back for that. Overall a great experience, we will definitely go back and would definitely recommend.

We ordered on an app for delivery for the first time and had never visitied before but the menu looked appealing, even if it was a little on the expensive side, so decided to place an order. Once the order was placed, we phoned the diner to make an alteration to exclude an item and they were more than accommodating. Friendly member of staff on the phone. Food delivered on time and enjoyed. The next day, we decided to call in for a takeaway as we enjoyed their milkshakes. Unfortunately, the diner do not have the facilities to deal with takeaway orders 1:1 and we were charged over 20% more for like for like orders. When questioned the male bar manager was arrogant towards my enquiry and dismissed it. He did not bother to take the time to explain why the price difference occurred and was very argumentative from the off. I asked to speak to another manager who took their time to explain the price discrepancy and advised a way of ordering at a cheaper price, even if ordered via the app there and then in the restaurant, for takeaway. To add, while I was waiting for the other manager to arrive, I could hear the male manager moaning about my genuine enquiry in the back which was totally unprofessional. More staff training is needed as this tanted our views of this diner.

Fantastic well worth the money lovely food 10/10 staff really friendly. Anyone complaining about the food or Hospitality you should give your head a wobble ☺️ best meal I have had in a long time. 6 very satisfied Customers 😉

My sister and I and my niece and nephews came here and we’re welcomed by the lovely bartender lyubo took our order and made sure everything was ok and the food was lovely kids loved the milkshakes my sister loved her on the beach cocktail and my steak was cooked to perfection and we also had two lovely waitresses look after us too Amy and agne thank you and the play area finished off her experience nicely with the children thank you see you again soon

We had our wedding reception at the Green Man in Rackheath on the 8th April 2022. What an amazing venue it was, the food was absolutely amazing, the staff were all amazing. The manager Lyubo pulled out all the stops for us. They did absolutely everything from decorating to the room up for us, drinks on arrival for the wedding guests and being on hand throughout the whole evening. I would highly recommend The Green Man as a wedding venue for anyone who wants a fantastic and stress free evening. Absolutely Fantastic. Average at best, overpriced at worst. Can of multi-pack coke £2.50. Mega chicken kebab was salad, four small pieces of dry and grilled to death chicken, a soggy wrap and 12 very greasey chips. Won't be back

Don’t judge this place on it’s kerb appeal. It really is quite nice and it has a well equipped playground for the kids, with a blast from the past with the old oak tree slide that those of us born pre-1990 can reminisce of seeing in every good beer garden back in the day! The smokehouse menu was good and reasonable value. Most importantly the toilets were immaculate!

Food absolutely perfect, shakes are really the best in norwich. We have visisted a few times nows and always have a great evening the staff are always pleasant bar one miserable looking dark haired waitress who never smiles. Im not sure where some of the old staff have gone they were alot more attentive to the customers. I hope the one that was pregnant will be back soon, always happy smiling and nothing was too much trouble for her. As always great food and we will be back soon cant wait for the summer when we will be able to enjoy the great garden again

Food was freshly prepared, portions were huge!!! Best onion rings in the area… by far! Kids loved the decor, doesn’t look much on the outside but inside wow! Friendly staff very helpful. Even an area for kids to play inside. Definitely go again.

We went here on a whim on the way home from a walk, we wish we hadn’t. The decor was very dated and confused, the speaker near us was upside down and covered in cobwebs. Neither myself of my partner or I are old fuddy dudies, but the non stop dance music was a bit much whilst trying to eat your dinner. We had a Carvery, but it was cool, not hot at all and the potatoes were definitely frozen ones, so was the sausage’s ,no taste at all, such a disappointment. My other half had the sprouts which were burnt, for two meals and drinks, one a pint of Ghostship (best thing about the meal) one not alcoholic was £33! Very expensive for a very mediocre meal. The car park was very dark and could have easily fallen over. Overall, the staff were polite and friendly, but won’t be going again, sure it does well, just not for us.

I visited here yesterday for a celebration meal with my girlfriend, and once again they delivered. Amazing food, even better portion sizes genuinely can’t praise this place enough. I will be back soon.

Back again this time for my birthday celebration. Four of us with 2 courses each. I really enjoyed the chicken burger meal, nicely presented and large portions.

Best American Diner and more. Great flavours decent portion size. Great people too. Definitely be back soon. Recommend the Ribs and they even do fresh Cocktail’s.

Omg what an amazing restaurant. Can honestly say absolutely incredible food. Huge portions of delicious food. Great selection of food on the menu, and cooked fresh to order. No zapped pub grub, like so many other local pubs. I’m so amazed lived nearby and not been here before. Our new favourite venue. We will be back! Owner Lubo and staff super friendly. Highly recommend visiting, you will not be disappointed!!!

I recently took my family to this restaurant for a Sunday carvery. It's our first visit to the restaurant and I'm really pleased we decided to go there to try it out. There was a large choice of food at the carvery on display and an appetising menu giving lots of other choices. The food was served in generous portions and was piping hot and delicious. The kids loved the place, particularly the outside space. The staff were attentive, thorough and polite. We really enjoyed the visit and consider it to have been great value. I recommend this restaurant for families based on my experience, we'll certainly be coming back.

Recently, I have started eating more vegi and vegan food. The no meat burger I had at the Green Man was very tasty. Nice flavour of a burger was complimented by a great variety of fresh vegetables and caramelised onion. Definitely one of my favourites.
