The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

We stayed here for a couple of nights, while we were celebrating my friends 60th birthday party in a nearby village. Everything was great, room was fine, food good. Our only complaint was, when we returned from our friend's party between 10-10.30 pm on the Saturday night, the place was closed and in darkness. For a Saturday night, we were shocked, and as residents I was looking forward to a night cap. Unfortunately that wasn't to be. Such a shame, as if there was a night porter who could have fulfilled our request, would have given it a top review. All the staff were lovely.

Excellent food. Interesting specials. Dog friendly. Room quiet, clean. Breakfast cooked to order. Great start to the day. Friendly, helpful staff.

Booked a meal for a social group I belong to yesterday (Thursday 6th Feb) so glad I did because the feedback and gratitude was amazing. Everyone just loved the food, said it was delicious plus the staff and atmosphere were brilliant. Thank you KYMA, I was a nervous host as 24 people signed up for the meal but within a short while I could relax and really enjoy myself too. Highly recommend KYMA and am definitely booking for the group again

Last min booking for my partner's birthday. Welcoming staff, great food & you have to try a dessert !! We will be back soon.

Another wonderful lunch = this was the first proper meal we have had since going down with that lurgey that is doing the rounds. We've been off food and not really been able to taste or eat much till now. So it was really eally nice to get out and have a Sunday lunch our only regret was that we couldnt eat it all (left over side effect from the lurgery). So fabulous fabulous food well presented by great great staff - thank you.

We weren't sure if the place was actually open when we arrived even though I'd booked a table it was total chaos the girl running it looked up once while was bottling up bearing in mind this was luntime we eventually got our drink after about 10 minutes and we sitting at the bar, we finally ordered our meal and to be honest it was disgusting my friend had a beef stew which most was gristle and very greasy I ordered spicy chicken burger with salad, I wanted just the burger and no bun a heap of overcooked bits of breadcrumbs arrived and basically no chicken. Whilst sitting at the table you then noticed how grubby everywhere was. Neither of us ate the food it was truly a disgusting place. We are both well travelled and both lived abroad for years so and eaten in many off the beaten track restaurants. Avoid this place

I was blown away by the food, really good value for money, super tasty and very accommodating. My Mum is dairy intolerant and they changed the prawn dish which was originally in a butter sauce to prawns in tempura batter!!. I have eaten many times in Lowestoft but for us this has been the best !!

Was here Saturday 5th October great food and staff the place is clean. And at a very good price I will be back .

Had a great Saturday lunch at just £9.99 for two courses and the food was absolutely delicious. The place is charming and quaint and the young man serving was friendly and welcoming whilst being knowledgeable about the food and drink menu.

We had Lunch at the Robin, Lamb Scrumpets, Scottish Smoked salmon and Gambas, followed by the most incredibly well cooked sirloin with all the trimmings, cognac and peppercorn sauce incredible! Cant recommend the Robin enough.

BEST Sunday lunch I’ve had! I’m visiting and have been looking forward to a proper English Sunday lunch - the last place we tried had a five star rating and everyone raved. It was marginal at best. You do it properly and perfectly! Everything was absolutely perfect from the service/wait staff all through dessert. The roast was delicious and so tender, smashed potatoes were perfectly creamy, the Yorkshire pudding, gravy, sprouts all of it was so very good! I fly out in a few days and am so happy I got my English lunch.

We recently held a Charity Ball at the function room at Venue 360. Cheryl, Sarah and their team did an absolutely fantastic job in ensuring the night went smoothly and to plan. Organising large events like this can be overwhelming and daunting however, Cheryl and her team were on hand every step of the way and answered any queries and alleviated any concerns we had. The teams extensive network of suppliers and caterers was superb and gave us plenty of options. The night itself went without a hitch and this was down to all of the hard work that the team had put in behind the scenes and in the months leading up to the event. I couldn't recommend the venue enough and we will certainly be back to work with the team and put on many more events at this great venue.

What a great dining experience. The Sunday lunch set menu, we ordered a selection. All dishes were perfectly executed and the flavours were sublime. Friendly and attentive service, we will be back!

It was a great experience to visit this pub for dinner. Nice environment and very friendly staff serving us very well. The food was nice , we can recommend their seabass
