Lovely old pub with amazingly low prices which compare with what we had in 1990's around London. Great beers and even Mild which can rarely be seen anywhere in the south. Wine very limited , Red, White or Rose, spirits all by the brewery but fine under half the price of the south and a lovely atmosphere.

The Barge is located right in the centre of Grimsby, if you are here drinking then it's a must visit place. The barge itself was being painted when we got there which will end up looking good and giving it a nice refresh. Inside is nice, good jukebox and nice service. Beer is on thr pricey side but worth it - there are a lot if dives in this town so you get what you pay for. Ample outdoor seating which was nice in the sun. Would recommend.

Visited here on Sunday 13th April as we were looking for an easy to access venue for Sunday lunch Arrived around 1pm and there was plenty of space and appeared well staffed….well they were all singing in the kitchen during the service so must be a good place to work However what wasn’t so great was the food, we both picked from the Sunday lunch menu and had beef as our meat choice…..well we think it was beef as it actually had the texture of brisket as it kinda crumbled and was flakey My wife left her meat but we both ate the luke warm veg, we also ordered a side of cauliflower&broccolo cheese but again it wasn’t the best and we hardly ate it The cost didn’t warrant the quality of the food either as for one course each and 2 diet cokes it was £40’ish which is pricey for what we had In hindsight we probably should of raised the issue with the staff but not only were we in a rush as it was mid-house viewing but I felt delicate from the previous evening and on top of that I always feel guilty giving the young servers any negative vibes as they have a hard enough job as it is….and to be fair our server was really good I won’t be retuning in any rush

Visited today for afternoon tea with my daughter as a treat for Mother's day. Wow, amazing. Beautifully presented. A great choice of sandwiches, scone with jam and cream, a mousse dessert and a good selection of cakes. Really friendly staff checking we had everything needed and offers of more tea etc. I am gluten free and the selection was brilliant. Great atmosphere, unfortunately the only thing spoiling it was a dog who was whining just behind us, it was a relief when it eventually left. Other than that well done Redwood restaurant, a real treat. Thank you very much.

Mo hosted our family celebrations where nothing was too much trouble. They catered for the food which was absolutely amazing, a Persian buffet, which so many people have commented on being so fresh and a great variety of dishes, and excellent value for money. The atmosphere was brilliant and we were able to have run of the entire pub even though it was a Saturday evening. The staff were all fantastic and even decorated the place for us. We would highly recommend for a party 🎉 🥳

The Plough is everything you could wish for in a country pub. Beautifully kept beer, cosy interior, always a warm welcome, good food and an absolutely stunning beer garden. The place is clearly loved by everyone in the community and with good reason. As a newcomer to the village I really appreciated the warm welcome. Highly recommended!

We were few diners on a Sunday when we stopped for a light snack. There were a few locals at the bar, but otherwise the pub was rather soulless and the bar staff not very well informed regarding the menu. Our snack lunch was freshly prepared, we did`nt see any cooked meals so can`t comment.
