The best restaurants in East Midlands

Rather a daudy looking pub, only went for a wake there

One of the best curry places I have had in the uk. Friendly service, attentive. Food is great. Himalayan lamb , tempura prawns , salt and pepper squid and garlic naan all amazing. A lot more value for money than the surrounding places too… Definitely be back anytime I am in Derby.

Always lovely atmosphere. Had Broccoli and Stilton soup was cooked with love, absolutely delicious 😋

I think it’s a laugh in here. everybody smiles laughs gets along. You can buy gifts and jewellery , food too! It’s like a little cave , also fresh pastries that look incredible and taste divine

Great workshop - candle painting for a hen do. Staff were wonderful with helping service and guidance. Food was so tasty! We had a cream tea alongside. No rush for finishing. Had food when we wanted no timings required. Just an amazing creative and gorgeous place. 😍 will come again!!

Lovely friendly pub got family who live near by so we stopped for drinks passing through great atmosphere lovely drinks on offer.

Great cafe where the staff were so smiley and helpful. The bacon sandwich was very tasty

After having several ‘tasting menu’ experiences at various local restaurants this was by far the worst! Bright lights, no atmosphere, filthy carpet, no table linen, paper napkins, chipped crockery, dirty glasses, bland food, no-one bothered to explain courses or ask if they were enjoyed, limited wine choice and, to top it all, we were charged for something we didn’t have! Would not recommend at all, try The lighthouse at Boylestone for a proper tasting menu experience!

I messaged on Facebook and asked for something that wasn’t on the menu. It was truly the best doner meat I’ve had in a long time and the very best in Daventry!! Will certainly be ordering it again!!

Local pub in residential area…No charm…Great place to get drunk but no more

Excellent pizza, and my daughter loves the lasagne so much we have one cooked and take another cold for her later in the week.
