Excellent simple food with attentive service in good surroundings I had the spiced pumpkin soup which was home made and served with a choice of gluten free breads

Recently moved to the area and can’t praise the staff enough, Reasonably priced drinks, and whenever we’ve asked to watch a particular sport , they’ve put it on for us.

A year ago, I described some of the dishes, textures and flavours at Restaurant Jericho (who were recently awarded a Michelin green star) as ‘challenging’. On this return visit - again for their ‘work in progress’ evening - I have to say I was blown away: everything seemed more polished, more refined, with some exceptional cooking and flavour combinations. It’s impossible to pick out a favourite dish. Dishes included pastrami made that day and served with a wild garlic emulsion; a salad of smoked celeriac, turnip and parsnip; flat iron steak served with two silky-smooth purées (onion, and raw leek); ox tongue; their take on risotto - using barley instead of rice, and topped with wafer-thin slices of salami. Ten superb, flavoursome and - in my opinion - perfectly executed courses: the descriptions of the processes involved in creating each dish are just mind-boggling.

Excellent little cafe. Popped in after an art workshop in Twyford for lunch. Staff gave a very warm welcome despite being busy, service and food was brilliant. Even better they had a great selection of gluten free options for Coeliacs, they clearly knew how to accommodate for this and could see they were very conscientious. Amazing selection of cakes, and not just the usual gluten free brownie for those of us with dietary needs. Would highly recommend.

Picked up a large order of breakfast rolls all different sorts and cooked fresh then. Everyone enjoyed them and have been back personally myself since.

Absolutley wonderful ......again.. This is our second visit to this exceptional restaurant and we were not dissapointed . We enjoyed an incredible Sunday lunch. I had the chicken dish and my husband and our guest chose the roast beef. They both commented that it is the best roast beef they have ever eaten ! One of the many things that impressed me, apart from the exquisite food, is the level of service and efficiency of the team. We had a memorable visit . Thank you

Lovely garden centre with a nice choice of gifts too. We bought a few items in the shop and then enjoyed some lunch in the restaurant. We were very comfortable so we stayed for a glass of wine too. A great atmosphere with a huge menu choice. The staff were really nice & very polite.

What a gem of a pub. Real old fashioned pub with a great host, great drinks and superb food. We were travelling to Lincolnshire and needed some lunch and just happened to see this pub. So glad that we chose to stop here and we can thoroughly recommend the fish goujons sandwich, absolutely delicious 😋

We thought the drinks and food where expensive we had a light lunch with shared starter and desert and a couple of drinks each and the bill was still over a hundred pounds, we do like the pub and the food but the price will prevent us from eating there on a regular basis.

Booked a table online for Sunday lunch for the two of us. It was our anniversary and we were met with a 'happy anniversary' on the reserved chalk board on the table which was sweet and very thoughtful. The service was great, the owner and servers were friendly and welcoming. We both had the roast beef which was absolutely delicious. Plenty of tender roast beef, tasty veg and a lovely big homemade yorkie sitting on top. Despite the huge lunch we made room for pud - proper comforting traditional apple crumble and custard for me and steamed jam sponge for my husband. We left with very full bellies and went home for a snooze! Would highly recommend and such fantastic value at £20 for the 2 courses.
