Called in to try their breakfast cobs and were blown away, more or less a full English in a cob!! My wife and I had one each with a brew and all for less than a tenner!!! The staff were very friendly and polite as well as chatty; we’ve defiantly found a new place for breakfasts in the future - we’ll try the lunches as well soon!! HIGHLY recommended!!

I haven’t had any food but the coffee!! Oh my the coffee! Is absolutely perfect. It does exactly and all you need a coffee to do. The staff are incredible. Karen E and Clare are the most wonderful, friendly, helpful ladies. I have a real soft spot for them. Thank you ladies for being you.

We have had four or five visits here, these pizzas are incredible, so authentic and with some amazing flavour commos too, but dont worry if you are a mrgherita fan, this is the best you will ever have outside of italy. Lovely service, lovely people, cant recommend highly enough!

We go to Melton Mowbray every year to get our car mot'd & while that's being done we walk into town & have a wander round & get a bite to eat. This year we tried 'Kristies' & we weren't disappointed. As you walk through the door you're greeted with a lovely smile & a 'hello'. The decor & ambiance are lovely, just what you want in a tea room. The girls are all really friendly and they make you feel right at home. & the food is so good. The portions are big enough to fill you up but not too big you end up feeling over full, unless you want to!!! & they are 'really' tasty! We loved the sticky toffee pudding! It's probably the best one we've had in a very long time!!!! If you're in Melton Mowbray & you want a nice relaxing meal in a lovely tea room with lovely friendly girls then definitely give Kristies a try. You won't be disappointed. We'll definitely be going back next year on mot day! See you then everyone at Kristies. x

Great beer bar in the centre of Melton. It used to be called BeerHeadZ but changed in June. Anyhow, a few seats outside and excellent quality ales at reasonable prices. Well-recommended !

Fantastic visit to the croxton village shop! So many gorgeous local products to choose from and a great selection of everyday essentials. If you are in the vale then a visit here is a must, you can even enjoy your coffee and cake in the picnic area and park for free. Exceptional customer service..Will definitely be back 😊

We had our Wedding lunch here 6 years ago and always returned for our anniversary especially. It used to be our favourite restaurant in Melton. But since Alex and Monica left, we have been twice and both times we have been less than impressed. Last night my husband had duck which was OK, but the sauce was bland and the vegetables were so little, he came home and had something to eat. My lobster was overcooked and rubbery, not pleasant at all. I vould tell as soon as it arrived, it wasnt right so not sure why the chef could tell. Needless to say we won't be returning again. Such a shame as we used to love this restaurant before it changed hands. The service and staff were very friendly so for that I do give them 5 stars.

great, hot and frothy coffees with a delicious homemade brownie in a perfect rural and agricultural setting for me! Waitresses were all inviting and friendly and the prices are good too. Will try the bacon and brie panini next time. Garden centre is small but has a decent selection.
