Cafe Allez! in Melton

Yes, this was an excellent cafe at the entrance to Belvoir Castle. It served a wide variety of savoury snacks, sandwiches, bauguettes etc. and a great choice of cakes!! As previously mentioned the coffee was excellent! Unfortunately they had to close early in 2022 due to no renewal of their lease. A sad loss!

Very quick and friendly service, and the most delicious bacon cob. The best I’ve had for a very long time!

Trying to savour Cafe Allez while it still occupies its present location, so called today for a spot of lunch after a walk from Barkestone . Had a most delicious pasty and my friend had an equally delicious Red Leicester and rocket sandwich , both accompanied by splendid coffees . As always , the staff were super friendly and still show love for what they do . How I will miss this place when it is gone !

I have used Caffe Allez a number of times and can heartily recommend it's coffee, food & (above all) it's super-cycle-friendly service. It's a great shame that it's lease has not been renewed to stay in the Belvoir Castle grounds - a loss for everyone - but I can see that it might be seen as competition to the newly refurbished Engine Yard cafe across the road. Anyhow, wherever Cafe Allez goes...I will seek them out - keep up the great work guys!

Just look at the reviews........the place is great and everyone agrees. But the greed of the Belvoir Estate means it won't be around much longer for all of us to enjoy the fab coffee, cakes and hot food. Mark and Clair have built something great and we only go to Belvoir for Cafe Allez.........so when they go, we will not visit again and will go to the new Cafe Allez wherever it appears. Most places would love to have a place like this attracting visitors and I'm sure somewhere will not be as short-sighted as Belvoir! Thanks M & C.

Excellent coffee, cakes. Home made soup is beautiful. Many Vegan options. Staff are always smiling and chatty. Parking here is free for at least an hour.

Friendly staff and a great location . I always have the boat cappuccino which is always lovely and also the vegan baguette - highly recommended

There is a lot of lovely cake and hot food, drinks to choose from at a good price too. The staff are Polite, very accommodating with you requests. The setting out side over look the vale of Beaver and on a clear day you can see a lovely 5 miles +. Looking out over vale Breathtaking.

I visited yesterday late afternoon with my teenage daughter. The weather was autumnal but there is now a marquee enclosed on 3 sides with heating enough to take the chill off. Very pleasant as were all the staff we met. The soup was homemade butter squash and the choice will vary most days. Served with bloomer it was a delight to be at Cafe Allez. I have always enjoyed regular visits at all times of year and have never been disappointed . The views across 3 counties are an added bonus.

Following our visit to the castle required a snack before moving on. Was not impressed with prices/selection in the Engine Yard so came across to this café at the castle entrance. Cheese scones with tea were the order of the day. Drinks only available in paper cups and scones (warmed in microwave) had to be collected from side of café and eaten outdoors (no plates provided) Scones were reasonable just a bit tuggy. Not cheap at £9 for two with tea.

Ignore the people moaning about the parking, it's Free for the first hour. Coffee from 200 Degrees is great and lovely cakes and cobs. Very friendly service.

decent coffee and selection of snack food don't park there unless you want a false £100 fine (see my castle review) very bike and walker friendly though- and I've never been fined for my bike being there, but initial parking are probably working on it.

Very tasty food - good quality ham in the seeded bread roll. Pleasant and helpful staff. Outdoor seating only but tarpaulin covered area as well.

Choice rubbish it was not worth the parking fee. I believe they only put the cafe there to try and justify ripping you off with the parking. Was really disappointed

Living only two villages away , I visit here regularly . Cafe Allez did an amazing job during lockdown of providing a fabulous coffee and cake service . Today , the filter coffee I ordered wasn’t as warm as I would have liked but it was changed ,without question , to freshly made Americano. I was even offered a complimentary cake ( which I declined ) , for the inconvenience . This is such a lovely place with friendly staff , fantastic views and a great selection of sweet and savoury treats . Will continue to visit , come rain or shine .

Cafe Allez is a regular haunt for me cycling around the Vale of Belvoir. Consistently great coffee (amazingly hard to find elsewhere) and the recent addition of a great filter coffee option is welcome. Sausage and bacon cobs always great but recently been enjoying hot sausage rolls. Date and orange slice is superb. Recommended stop
