Brooksby Hall in Melton

Well what can I say, we came to a wedding tonight and the venue, food, staff and DJ was absolutely fantastic, if you ever want to book a room for your occasion then look no further than Brooksby hall, you won’t be disappointed.

Went to my daughter's wedding here in dthe staff. And the food were excellent obviou They are at the top of the class for what they do, the grounds and the church wereas fantastic. Ample parking Decide decided to go again in July for the family lunch. I must say for the standard of the food and service. I don't know how they can do it for this price

Late review but better late than never – Me and my wife got married at Brooksby Hall almost a year ago, we had both the English wedding ceremony and Indian wedding ceremony on the same day, both at Brooksby Hall. At the start of planning what it seemed like would be very difficult to do both on the same day, became very smooth when discussing all the requirements with Craig and Leueen. They were both amazing, especially Craig who made a lot of time for us. Our day there had started at 6am and they made sure we were looked after. We had the most beautiful day at such a stunning venue and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Before our wedding the venue hadn’t had many Indian weddings, since ours I’ve recommended this to many couples who had then booked this venue as they also loved it! I’d really recommend this for anyone else looking for an exclusive venue, clear communication with staff, ease of parking, use of their huge kitchen, and of course access to their gorgeous gardens and lake.

This place serves a fantastic roast lunch, all freshly prepared with home made deserts for afters, very reasonably priced for the quality of food served. The staff are very polite, friendly and approachable. We will definitely be returning soon.

We got married here on 8/8/21 and have tried to come every month for the Sunday lunch which is always amazing , staff lovely 🥰 Lee Craig and Loueen ( sorry if spelt wrong) are always gorgeous the food today was the best we’ve ever had and we got the choc fudge cake and cream to take away as still stuffed from dinner , always a pleasure to return to Brooksby and the church is well worth a glance as it’s where we completed our journey to get married and it’s absolutely amazing 🤩 Good job guys happy people as always xx Cat and rich x

We had our wedding with Brooksby in September 2022. Craig was absolutely fantastic, so helpful and made sure we knew exactly what would happen and when. The food was fabulous and the staff helped make our day a really wonderful one. I would recommend the venue to anyone.

After postponing our wedding from September 2020 to September 2021, we were very excited for it to finally go ahead at Brooksby Hall. There were new team members from when we first booked, but Lee & co. were absolutely amazing. We were able to change our wedding date with little fuss and kept in touch with the venue throughout the year. When the big day arrived, Brooksby Hall was just perfect. Our guests loved the day and everything went so smoothly. The team at Brooksby handled everything. All of our plans ran to time but we never felt rushed. They were always available to help. We couldn't have asked for a better team organizing the whole day. The food was fantastic too. And collecting everything the next day was a breeze, all packed up for us. My only complaint was that it was all over too quickly! We'd love to do the whole day again as we enjoyed it so much.

We got married at brooksby, Aug bank holiday. The day was perfect, great food, really friendly hosts who were very accommodating. We had loads of fun & all of our guests commented on how beautiful the old hall & the grounds were. Wish we could do it all over again! Would highly recommend.

We dined at Brooksby Hall on sunday 16th Feb, wow the carvery was delicious the gammon and beef cooked to perfection along with the veg and pots. We could not fault anything. Staff very attentive and welcoming. Surroundings very good. Well done Sam the chef.

I attended a Christmas party last night at Brooksby Hall. What fabulous service, food, and entertainment! We were greeted on arrival to a glass of fizz, then escorted to the hall which was very tastefully decorated. The service was second to none and the food outstanding. Entertainment was courtesy of the Hound Dogs who didn’t disappoint! We danced all night - what a fantastic band! Highly recommended.

The Hall was the setting for our daughter's wedding. The arrangements were outstanding. The event was overseen by Dean who was effective, efficient, courteous and always on hand. He and his team did an outstanding job. The setting itself is wonderful - great rooms, great grounds and great staff to make it all happen in the right way. If you are planning a wedding in this area, don't fail to check out Brooksby - it has a super offer.

Booked this place as our wedding venue. Did the whole day here and it was spectacular. Lovely buildings and the staff are amazingly helpful. Kept us both well informed what was going on during the day. Set everything up for us that we left with them the day before. Menu was great, food really good quality. It was absolutely perfect and I would highly recommend.

We had our wedding here and it was just as we had planned it to be. Sally and her team were always on hand and really helpful. The venue and its grounds are beautiful!

I cannot recommend Brooksby Hall enough as a Wedding Venue. On the day everything was perfect, and this couldn't have been achieved without the help we received from our planners, Sally and Grace. The Hall itself, the Grounds and the Villiers Hall are beautiful and very well presented, and all of our guests loved it. We had a fantastic day, and a fantastic Wedding experience as a whole. Thank you to everyone involved!

We came for a big birthday, with a buffet lunch. The venue is elegant and comfortable, with good gardens - though it did rain for us. The party planning was made easier by Sally's friendly and professional suggestions. Teas and coffees on arrival for those travelling a long was was welcome. The food was excellent, hot and cold choices and more than we could eat between us. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. This is our second party here and both have been memorable occasions.

I attended the Easter afternoon tea on Easter Sunday with my two granddaughters. It was excellent from start to finish. The children’s heart shaped sandwiches, milkshake in a chocolate pot and copious amounts of squash a big hit. The mad hatter and his friends all stayed in character and created a lovely friendly atmosphere. The egg hunt in the gardens burnt off some excess energy, with the prize of a full sized Easter egg in the church. This had two benefits, one, to keep the eggs cool and two, for me to be able to explain the true reason we celebrate Easter. All in all excellent value for money and hope this is repeated next year. It was also good that this was aimed at all ages not just toddlers. Many thanks.

We went to Brooksby Hall for Alice in Wonderland performed by Wise Owl Theatre company. It was just amazing the afternoon tea was outstanding the staff just brilliant. The actual performance of the actors interaction with the children was wonderful. What else can we say everything was perfect. Visited as a family of 5 for the first time today and what a lovely time we had. Very efficient and polite service. Food was fantastic, all 3 courses were presented well and very tasty. Will definitely return. Thank you Brooksby Hall.

We visited Brooksby Hall for a special Sunday Lunch for my Dad's birthday. As a party of 8, we booked in advance and pre-ordered vegan options, although when we arrived we were very pleased to see they were an option on the menu anyway.

A beautiful, traditional English country house and a stunning setting for any occasion. The food was excellent and most of the staff very efficient and helpful. However, on my visit in October 2018, this was unfortunately let down by some extremely rude staff who clearly had no concept of how to treat guests. The staff locked our belongings in a room--upon going to look for these items, we were berated by a staff member for being 'off limits'even though the whole place had been booked by the wedding party we were attending. Very condescending and unprofessional. We were made to feel as though it was some sort of museum where we couldn't touch or go anywhere out of the designated 'guidelines'-which were in no way made clear in the first place.

We went to a wedding here which was great, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly.

An entirely pleasant Sunday lunch, easy to park and even my request for a back cushion was easily accommodated. We had a variety of items from the menu, which was billed as 2-course or 3-course (£19.95). It was clear that many people had been before, but I thought it particularly good to be kept informed that as they were serving a large party, our meal would be delayed by a few minutes. What arrived was hot and delicious. The only slight wrinkle was the bill, as it was not fully correct, but in the scheme of things, it was a minor matter.

Brooksby Hall was the perfect wedding venue. There is nothing I can fault. The location is stunning and at a reasonable price. Everything is so well organised and the food is outstanding. The only regret I have of the day is not being able to eat more at the evening BBQ, as it looked amazing. The wedding breakfast was commented on by many of the guests. My personal favourite was the white chocolate dessert. The staff are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I know that I will be coming back here in the future for the Sunday lunches. I am really glad that we booked here.

Sunday lunch was delicious but we did have to wait rather a long time for our order to be taken and then quite a long time between courses.

On Sunday we went to Brooksby Hall for Sunday Lunch,from arriving til the time we left it was perfect. We all said the the best sunday lunch ( we have eaten many out) the meat was cut how it should be nice and thick no complaints we could not fault anything. My husband and I got married at Brooksby last August and it was perfect. The staff, the setting, the food all of it. We both fell in love with the venue after our first look round. Sally really sold it for us as well as she was so accommodating and friendly from day one. There was no request to big and she made us feel like we didn't have to compromise on anything we wanted. On the day all the staff were wonderful, so helpful and professional. All our guests also enjoyed themselves and told us how relaxed the day felt. Sally and the team really made that possible and that it exactly what we wanted. I cannot recommend Brooksby Hall enough. They made our wedding day the most amazing day of our lives.

The church and grounds are excellent for a wedding and photographs. The hall is a good size and the food is adequate. The toilet facilities etc need to be updated.

This place! wow. Its the best decision we ever made to get married here.

This venue was booked for a Sunday lunch for just over 100 people at the end of a tour through the East Midlands for a car club. Plenty of parking in a large picturesque car park. A warm welcome at the door and then it just got better and better. The building has a faded grandeur but it`s clean, comfortable and hints at an interesting history. Seating arrangements professionally presented and the large spacious dining room was lovely. The catering / bar staff were exceptional, attentive yet discreet and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everything was calm, well timed and made a memorable end to a perfect day. Thanks to all.

I've visited this venue three times times to attend a workshop and each time have been impressed with the quality of the food. It's always fresh, plentiful and with a good choice.

My husband and I had our wedding here in August 2016, the grounds and building are beautiful, perfect for a classic wedding. The staff are extremely helpful, Sally and Emma the wedding co-coordinators were there to help every step of the way, always on hand to answer any questions and help with any organising, such as decorations etc. The bridal party and I stayed in the church house the night before, it was comfortable, convenient and perfect for getting ready in on the day, plenty of space for my hair and make-up artist to get everyone ready. On the day all the staff were brilliant, Emma even helped me put my shoes on and rounded up all the bridal party when I was running "fashionably" late. All members of staff would bend over backwards to help and no request was too big. We had a carved buffet for our wedding breakfast, which was great for giving your guests a choice on the day and all the guests said they enjoyed it. In the evening we had a BBQ which the guests couldn't get enough of, it was delicious, after a couple of hours it started to rain and the staff made sure all the food was brought in and none went to waste. Overall we couldn't of asked for any more from our special day and would recommend Brooksby hall 100%. Finally we would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff from Mr and Mrs Charlesworth!

My daughter got married here in May this year.absolutely beautiful place,food ,location ,grounds, staff were brilliant ,cannot praise them enough,we were lucky to pick a lovely day as well so walking around the gardens was a treat .would highly recommend this place for any occasion.

This is the type of place that holds School proms and Weddings the grounds are nice to walk around and is easy to get to as it is part way between Melton Mowbray and Syston

Myself and my wife held our wedding reception at Brooksby Hall. From the first time we met Emma 8 months earlier to look around the venue to the actual wedding day itself she provided a great service and nothing was to much trouble. The buffet food for our wedding breakfast was amazing and enjoyed by all our guests, the trio of desserts was also very popular. The evening reception we went for hog roast which was served outside and was amazing. All the guests and bride enjoyed the brilliant surprise fireworks and then onto the dance floor with the 6ft LOVE letters. Weddings are a very expensive time but I feel we got great value for money compared to most places and the hall and grounds are beautiful. I definitely recommend it!!

Sensational setting - the staff were fabulous and all our needs were attended - nothing was to much trouble. Really big thank you to Dean for making the day perfect - can highly recommend!!!

Valentines evening was superb...The menu was gorgeous and cooked to perfection. Very attentive service and the whole evening was very enjoyable. Top job well done.

We held our wedding here at the end of March. Excellent service from Emma from the initial look round and she could always be contacted by email or phone for the many questions we had. On the day the food was excellent and plenty of it. (we chose the BBq option and had a trio of deserts) the waiting staff and bar staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The venue itself was excellent as we had lots of space in different rooms to accommodate all our guests needs and the grounds were beautiful. Excellent value for money when compared like for like with similar wedding venues in the area.

Brooksby Hall setting was lovely.Event co-ordinator was very organised. Recommended us perfect decorations and flowers package which complemented the Old Hall and Beatty Room.We were given use of all of the rooms in Brooksby Hall. Our guests felt very comfortable as for some of them who travelled from abroad it was the first place they visited. They all loved it.We had combination of internal and external caterers - food was very enjoyable and served well.All in all a great experience.

We celebrated my Mum's 60th birthday at Brooksby Hall, hiring one of the smaller rooms. It was the perfect size for the number of people and was set out beautifully. The food was served at the exact time that we requested and everybody commented on how impressed they were with the quality of both the food and the service. We have been to Brooksby Hall many times before, including for our wedding reception, and would recommend it to anyone.

We had our Christmas Party here - it is beautiful. There was a choir for arrival, mulled wine and the meal was great! A band played well into the night - couldn't ask for more. You can see why it is such a popular wedding venue! Wonderful.

Bought my mum here for afternoon tea and from start to finish we couldnt have asked for better service. The venue itself is stunning, the atmosphere was so relaxed, perfect setting for an afternoon catch up. The food looked and tasted beautiful, the eton mess was very quirky served in a shot glass,definitley worth upgrading t o get your glass of bubbles. Will be coming back to try their monthly sunday lunches. Thabk you for an enoyable afternoon.

We attended a wedding at Brooksby Hall recently, and were very impressed with the service and quality of all aspects of the event. Canapes were superb, and staff very friendly and helpful.The bar staff were remarkable, considering the incessant requests, and the wedding breakfast itself was extremely good, especially considering the sheer volume of food to be produced and served in a short time frame.

We visited Brooksby Hall as a potential wedding venue, we fell in love with it due to the church that is on site and the surrounding grounds, we therefore began to discuss with the co-ordinators the packages/prices etc however due to having a few different staff, everytime we spoke to the hall it was someone different, and every time told something different. One price.... then another .... this is included... now it isn't included...... blah blah blahUnfortunately we lost trust in this venue and didn't feel comfortable putting our money and one of the biggest days of our lifes in the hards of the incompetent staff.... absolutely awful .. and I am spreading the disgusting customer service with every person possible to ensure they don't ruin anyone else's events/meals/parties/weddings etc.There is a lot more to be said about this god awful venue but I shall refrain..... actually I say venue I mean staff, it is a shame to see a venue with such potential tarnished by their lack of decent staff members.

Went to brooksby hall at end of November 2015. We were seated at a window table in a comfortable,warm room.We both thought the service was excellent and we were made to feel welcome. My wife had chicken and I chose the roast beef. Both main courses were beautifully cooked and we'll presented. The pudding course was also very good. Our only criticism was the starter (a trio of soups)literally three soups!!! Too much for a starter!!!

They advertise the lunch as "traditional Sunday Lunch in exquisite surroundings" - who could argue? It was terrific. The service is professional but friendly, and the food was delicious and innovative with the presentation. The only downside is that you have to book in advance.

What a lovely venue for a wedding. The staff are very helpful, the grounds were superb and the chapel is lovely. The meal provided following the wedding was one of the best "mass produced" meals I have ever had. The choice was very good and the food was hot.

Simply one of the best Sunday lunches we have had. Lovely surroundings and excellent service. Had a nice walk around the grounds after lunch.

We had our wedding there June 2015 and we thought everything was brilliant. The staff were ever so helpful, polite and professional. The day ran smoothly with no problems and everything went to plan as we had requested. The food was amazing and everyone commented how nice it all was. The bar manager also did a fantastic job as we had our vision of what we wanted and he did a fantastic job in helping this work on the day. We also stayed in the house available on site and this was a huge help as we have our young children and family from afar be able to stay and easily accessible and a great help to put the kids to bed and having help babysitting and no need leaving the wedding. The grounds are beautiful, the halls are both lovely and so many options on how to decorate. We choose to decorate ourselves and Brooksby were helpful in letting us do this. We were shown the church, which was beautiful, slightly small for our guests but we used our local church in our village and travelled to Brooksby after which worked out great. The value for money and what you receive was brilliant. With such good service and quality food you could not complain.

Following our fantastic wedding here in 2012 Myself and my family visit Brooksby Hall regually for their monthy sunday lunches. We always recieve excellent Service from the staff. we always go here because it is such good value at £16.50 for 2 courses. The roast beef dinner is delicious in every way . The dining hall overlooks the gardens beyond which gives breathtaking views of the countryside. Would totally reccommend the venue.

I attended a wedding at Brooksby Hall, in fact I was a bridesmaid, and I feel compelled to be the first person to review the venue.The food was delicious; we had a wonderful day from start to finish - nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they really made sure that my best friend had a magical day to remember.Based on our experience, I am really surprised to be the first person leaving a review for this venue. Apparently they also do Sunday Lunches, so as I live nearby I will be sure to go one time.
