Called in about twenty minutes before closing time. We asked if they were still serving hot food. Yes, they said, for another five minutes. The menu clearly said that hot food finished half an hour before closing, but despite our late arrival we were made to feel welcome and there was no feeling at all that we were an inconvenience. The food was great as was the service and all at very reasonable prices. Thanks for letting us warm up on such a cold day.

The Samworth centre in Melton Mowbray is right in the middle of town. The coffee shop is excellent and has a well deserved reputation. Part of the centre is a charity shop which has well sourced items. Upstairs is a large venue suitable for big meetings where I went to attend a showing by the Melton Photographic Society.

Visited with my parents and daughter on Saturday for lunch. We had omelettes, chicken nuggets and scampi with chips between us. The food was lovely quality, piping hot and very reasonably priced. The service was good and other customers were friendly had a chat. I love the fact the centre has employed staff with additional needs. It seemed a lovely community hub.

After deciding to revisit Melton Mowbray , we selected to eat at the Samworth Centre the level access is ideal for wheelchair users, after find an table in he corner. we selected the haddock and chips, and peas, with bottled cold water to drink. We had parked in the disabled spaces just off Burton street near the bridge. when the fish arrived it looked and tasted delicious with a small salad At £5.55 what a good deal. You need to get to the Centre before 2P.M . as they close earlier on Saturday. we bought some special pies and fruit from the market and pie shop an enjoyable outing rather tiring.

Our favourite cafe in Melton. The food is consistently excellent (have you read the chef's CV?) and great value for money. Love the ethos of professional, volunteer and trainee staff working together, they all seem happy. Quality.

We had tea and cake at the Samworth Cafe in the Centre whilst visiting Melton Mowbray, it was a busy lunchtime and we were lucky to get a table. Service was good and it was not long before our teas arrived. The cafe is charity run and is for a good cause, much better here than the overpriced High Street coffee chains!

My daughter and I dropped into the Samworthy Center to grab a warm snack and drink while waiting for family who were at the hair dressers. We found seating easily and ordered and paid for our food at the counter. The food took around five minutes to arrive, it was well cooked, fresh and hot. It was well presented and It tasted nice, filling the gap perfectly. The pot of tea for one provided me with two decent and strong cups of tea. Excellent. The staff were happy and talkative, the atmosphere is nice too.

By far the worst pub meal we have ever had. My mac and cheese was in a bowl the size of a cereal bowl and half empty. Two slices of garlic bread that were at most 2 inches. £15 for this and left hungry. When the waitress asked and we told her she said she would inform the chef came back and just walked by us .. never again. The other 3 meals were better but not much, over cooked chips, dry overcooked burger and chicken burger with no taste of teriyaki!

My wife and I were on coach trip to the Great Central Railway. We stopped in Melton Mowbray for a couple of hours and decided to have lunch. We saw Miss B's sign and thought we would have a meal there. I had the steak pie with stilton. It was an excellent choice, I really enjoyed it. My wife had a cheese and ham toastie which she also enjoyed.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Rutland Arms for my mothers birthday. The food tasted great, fresh and so nice to try something a little different. The waitress, (I can't remember her name) but she was so lovely and chatty & an asset to the business. I would recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a meal in nice surroundings with good food that won't break the bank. We will definitely be returning.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch with friends today. Everything was perfect, fantastic food. We were all very impressed how attentive and kind the staff were. They're were some elderly customers there, after the meal the staff were helping them with their coats, hats and walking sticks, so nice to see in this day and age. We will definitely be back. Amazing.
