Amici in Melton

We came in today as visitors to the area with our 2yr old for lunch. we had lovely food and the lady who served us was so friendly and so good to our little boy. Definitely recommend.

Service polite and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious, reasonable price.

Staff no personally seems like she is forced to be here didnt look at counter enough lost customers as they walked away. Cake cabinet looked dead didnt look fresh. Coffee was good. We both had omelette would i have again NO REALLY NO TASTE

Following a perfect experience last week with my Mum today I went with my Dad. The atmosphere is so friendly, lovely and very welcoming. The food is absolutely lovely, well presented and faultless. Its is immaculately clean too. It shows how this is the absolute best due to the number of regulars. I had an Omlette which was so delicious as I’ve had surgery so can’t eat much they very kindly, without hesitation, put what I couldn’t manage into a foil dish for my dog.. she thought it was delicious too 😉 xx You are an absolute asset to Melton and I will absolutely a million % continue to recommend you. We had a lovely lunch here. The staff are very friendly and were very welcoming to my young family, bringing out toys to cheer up my toddler son who wasn't in the best of moods!

Great range of indulgent hot chocolates available, which are really tasty. Non-dairy milk available at no extra cost and works really well with the hot chocolates. Friendly staff and lovely decor / atmosphere. Will definitely drop in again next time we visit Melton.

Been here on and off for many years. Nice food, particularly the panini's and coffee. Staff are friendly and it is good to be supporting a family and local business.

Exceptional quality of food for the price and wonderfully presented. Enjoyed breakfasts here on numerous occasions and always of a very high standard. Atmosphere and welcome is also always second to none, was impressed to see the owner/waiting staff take the time to help people with their orders - in particular helping an older gentleman who didn’t know what he wanted. The owner suggested options that she knew he’d had before and enjoyed. This kindness goes a long way and was heart warming to see. I can definitely see why there are so many regulars that visit. If you haven’t tried it I’d suggest a visit because it certainly won’t be the last time you do!

Lovely place to eat drink and have a catch up. Breakfast is superb and staff are really nice and chatty. There's also a lovely place to sit at the rear weather permitting

I go there most days for a coffee and croissant or pastry. A fantastic place for this, and very friendly staff make me feel at home. In good weather, I often enjoy the garden.

Having booked a lunchtime table for 4 people on a Saturday , we arrived waited an hour for our food and coffees to arrive,the restaurant was not busy , just us 4 and a couple with a small child. Only two staff working, the meals were simple salads, one pasta dish and a panini, so nothing complicated. They said they were one staff member down, how many people does it take to make a salad? The food was also very expensive, no complementary drinks/treats offered to compensate for our lack of service, If the restaurant was experiencing problems surely the best course of action would have been to close for the day. We shall not be going back here again☹️

Went to Melton Mowbray for the first time and noticed that not many restaurants opened on a Monday, luckily for us Amici was open. Lovely friendly welcome, good selection on the menu and reasonably priced. We had lovely Tomato and Basil Soup for starters which was very tasty and warming. I chose Lasagne for my main course, again it was very nice. Low on desserts but the Carrot Cake was delicious. Clean and friendly environment, very quiet but it can be expected on a Monday lunchtime.

We called in on a weekday morning for a hot drink and a snack, we were served delicious pastries with a smile and loved the clean environment and friendly vibe. It was a popular choice for customers too.

Five stars for me. We went for the Christmas party it was fantastic all round from the staff food and entertainment will be booking in to go again.

Excellent service and the coffee is great.

We visited close to halloween for coffee and as usual the coffee and the service was very nice being near the center of town makes it convenient for a break whilst in town shopping, we sit in the rear garden with our dog

Open 9 to 3 tells us that Amici is a cafe and so we shouldn't start applying fancy feedback reviews to it. HOWEVER it does also call itself an Italian Bistro and if you go there with that pretence then you may be disapointed. We were. Go there for coffee and snacks and you'll be served by lovely people and the yard at the back is a nice place to sit if it's sunny just don't confuse things by asking for anything from the main menu or complicating things by bringing up things like lactose intolerance. It's not horrible but it is limited.

Came here on my lunch with some friends and our children! Staff were unbelievably attentive and friendly, especially with the kids. The food was insane and came out promptly. Apparently the owners have just took over recently and can honestly say that it seemed as though they’d been in the place forever! 10/10 would recommend and will come regularly. P.S. the italian hot chocolate is to die for

They make their food from scratch on the premises and its the real thing, great coffee to, excellent friendly service. if you fancy a genuine Italian go, such a pity they have stopped evening ,meals...Home Made Cannoli to be highly recommended !!!

Always have a cheery welcome when we walk in to Amici and now we can sit inside so back to normal again take a look at the picture this cake is a must have whatever it is called, plus you can have a card that is stamped each visit when it is full you get a free drink

Fabulous food and a lovely courtyard to enjoy it.

Excellent and genuine fare, great staff and really busy ( always a good sign). Felt very authentic and food was simply delicious.

Wow! Just yummy! Expect to spend £100 but well worth it simply the best Italian in town. For romantic dates and milestones.

My wife and I discovered this little Italian cafe/restaurant. We had delicious coffees and then decided to have the “little” cooked breakfast. 3 rashers of bacon, as ugh sage, fried egg and beans with ciabatta bread. The staff were very friendly. It was very busy and rightly so.

I love this place. Giuliana is so friendly and really care about her costumers. My coffee was amazing and the food even better.

All the food is made from scratch and is authentically Italian, great friendly customer service. No evenings now which is a real pity

We had a lovely lunch there yesterday the food was very good and the staff were attentive and friendly.

The positive reviews on here are very accurate; we were a party of four with a toddler who all enjoyed our visit. Highchair meant our little one was comfortable and staff were very helpful setting it up. Food was delicious; We had anti-pasti followed by lasagne, risotto and a dish from the specials (x2) ; ravioli stuffed with spicy sausage in a parmesan cream sauce. The excellent service was only surpasses by the tasty food! Would definitely recommend.

Popped in here for the first time for lunch today. What a fantastic find! The food was authentically Italian and so tasty. We had the ravioli special and penne bolegnese follows by a lovely warm apple pie. Staff so friendly. Will definitely be back and would recommended a visit!

Nice but average resonbley priced all in all good would eat here again if passing don't understand how it's no1 I've teen at a lot better place in Melton Mowbray

Only discovered this recently . The owner is amazingly friendly , showed us the outside garden which will be great in summer. Food was superb.wonderful place to go for lunch

Firstly I would like to say how amazing the staff are, nothing is ever to much trouble and very friendly. The food is fabulous and very tasty seems to be very busy constantly which is always a good sign. The place itself is spotlessly clean.

by far one of the best places ive been to eat in Melton. the staff are some of the most welcoming people i have ever met with the ability to make you smile the second you walk into the door, all staff having unique personalities that makes you feel at home. secondly the food within this place is INCREDABLE! with there being a few Italians places within the small town...this place is Defiantly in my top 2 with quality and portion sizing.top marks to the chefs there! the coffee is another experince, great quality beans and made with passion the touch of chocolate sauce on top makes this beauty stand out! keep up the amazing work!

Always a lovely friendly welcome, delicious food and if it's not too busy they are happy to adjust meals to personal tastes. We enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee and toasted Panettone today.

Lunch with a friend on our first visit to Melton, what a fabulous find. Food was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere, made to feel very welcome and the staff were the friendliest I’ve come across in a long. The prices were very reasonable making Amici great value for money. Will definitely go again.

Enjoyed a nice lunch here with my friend and little boy. We each had a different kind of soup and a spicy salami focaccia. Everything was tasty and nicely spiced, would recommend, mid-range prices but it was a treat! The staff were friendly and helpful.

Moving our son into Melton and needed somewhere different for lunch. Found a seat outside, service was quick and efficient. My first choice from the menu had sold out, but wasnt disappointed wth an alternative. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced

A lovely place to spend an evening, the service is always very good as is the food. The menu selection is excellent but if there is something you really like it's perhaps best to tell them when booking as everything is so fresh and the popular dishes sell out quick.

We hired the whole restaurant for my birthday party. The whole family came from all over the UK and abroad. Giuliana and Mark made all the guests feel welcome and at home. The staff that evening - Morgan, Chris and Catherine - worked very hard and totally efficiently to ensure that everyone had an excellent time. The food, as always was first class. Giuliana had worked very hard to ensure that the large number of vegetarians were well catered for. I really cannot thank everyone at the restaurant enough for all their hard work and for smiling throughout the evening.

We had a great meal before going to the cinema, my risotto was the best I have ever had and my wife’s goulash was perfect. Exemplary service from Morgan who after the meal gave directions to the cinema

We found this restaurant while wandering around Melton town centre trying to find a somewhere to eat close to the Regal Cinema. We were made to feel very welcome by Morgan the waitress and as it was a beautiful day we asked to eat outside.

We came here on the spur of the moment and what a great choice.

Great atmosphere of a multi-function Italian restaurant in a compact space offering accessible indoor and outdoor dining of a good quality. Definitely worth a visit.. even for just a coffee and a snack... or a pizza or scrummy cake or dessert. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as when we trialed it with our wheelchair:)

We haven't been to Amici in the evening for some time, no reason just haven't been out, however, we both realised how much we had missed it..

We were staying in Melton for 1 night and after doing a bit of research on T/A we decided on Amici which turned out to be a very good choice with a lovely main course and dessert to follow.Beer was a bit pricy but nothing outlandish for a restaurant. I just wish there had been a bit more on the main course because it was that nice I could have eaten another plateful. Next time we are in Melton this place is on our list
