Lovely setting but the quality of the food really wasn’t good and some of the fusion with meat and fruit was odd. Every course smelled the same. The wine flight was also a bit of an acquired taste and not very much of it. Once the staff realised we didn’t like it then we did feel a little bit unloved as customers.

What a wonderful dining experience !!! I felt truly honoured to have eaten the delicious food served by these incredible chefs. It was the best restaurant I have ever visited. Beautiful honest cooking with the finest local ingredients. J honestly enjoyed it so much better the then Heston The Fat Duck where the food is very clever but so deconstructed it is no longer recognisable or Tom Kerridges pub which was a big disappointment. Restaurant Jericho is not cheap and they don't cater for vegetarians ar alegies or dislikes . You get what you are given in their 20 course tasting menu. I was slightly concerned before I went that the experience could cross the line into a im a celebratory get me out of here moment but I needn't have worried, every course was simply divine fresh cooked beautiful localally sourced food. I was the very loveliest evening. I loved every minute of it and even though it's 1.5 hours away and beyond my normal budget I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this wonderful unpretenous restaurant with the most delicious food imaginable.

The pictures give you a good idea of what it's like - rustic but not uncomfortable. There's drinks and (very good) snacks in the bar before dinner. I really liked the menu - there's quite a lot of meat dishes, including home made ham and charcuterie. Some unusual dishes that were good to see - notably venison and ox heart. Twenty courses sounds like a lot but we were there from 1900 to 2300 and it dind't feel slow, or rushed. They had a fire so you could sit outside for the last dessert and coffee - it was still too cold for us, but we were possibly the oldest people there. The wine list is really interesting; well chosen, with some really unusual wines. I was driving so didn't try it - but it's not cheap. All in all we thought Restaurant Jericho comparable with Sat Bains or Alchemilla; it's not the same, but certainly in their league.

We had a wonderful evening at Jericho last night, such a great concept and the food was superb. The ingredients and ideas behind each dish were so well thought out and so different from what we have tried before. It really made the evening an experience. The wine list is comprehensive and the focus on natural wines is something we haven't tried before, but we asked recommendations to try with the meal, which were fantastic and this really added to the experience. Rich and the team couldn't do enough for us and we will be coming back soon!

Tried to move our booking date and was charged the full menu amount, there was nothing stated when booking that this would be chargeable or a late cancellation fee would apply. I even looked at the booking terms and conditions which only stated about the allergies nothing about late cancellation charges. We rang the restaurant to day we actually wanted to move the date and not cancel and the Richard was very rude and obnoxious to us on the phone not believing us that the booking terms and conditions didnt state anything. Its ashame as we heard great things about this place however customer service does not live up to the hype of the food that is offered.

Menu very limited, no options for our group who follow plant based diet. I feel management need a change of attitude. Discrimination against certain beliefs is wrong, last time I checked it was also against the Equality Act 2010.

Enjoyed an amazing 10-course, ‘work-in-progress’ tasting menu at @restaurantjericho last night, and had *the* best table, right in front of the kitchen. Some sensational flavours, (and some really challenging) with courses including kid goat carpaccio, their take on pork pie, wild boar ragout, mallard, venison and rhubarb. The presentation and explanation of each dish was on point. Fantastic atmosphere and a really relaxed evening (we were there over 3 hours). These guys really put the ‘H’ in hospitality: already looking into when we can return.

Superb food and service. We had the 12 course tasting menu, with plenty of tasty snacks along the way. Every dish was explained on how it made and where the produce came from. Service was impeccable and we truly were made to feel welcome and comfortable the entire evening. Will defiantly be coming back for more..

Wonderful evening at Jericho. Really amazing food with incredible service. We were lucky enough to have a seat at The Chef’s Bench for the tasting menu and it really lived up to the hype from our friends who had recommended it. Super fresh and some unusual ingredients, everything was impeccably presented and explain by the staff. Would highly recommend.

The food and the service here is superb. It provided, without a doubt, one of the meals I have ever eaten (and I've had a few!). Fascinating 12 course tasting menu with optional wine flight, plus canapés of course! All served blind - a real challenge of perception and brilliant flavours. This place is a foodies' paradise! Would recommend the 'chef's table' so you can see the creations being prepared.

We had a wonderful evening with friends at Restaurant Jericho. We were greeted by Tom and had aperitifs by a cosy wood burner before being taken to the main restaurant. We chose the taster menu with wine pairing. The food looked amazing and tasted superb. Each of the 12 courses were perfectly presented and described in detail to us by Tom and Grace. The wine pairing was a lovely addition and Tom’s knowledge and enthusiasm for the different wines was impressive and really added to the overall experience. Most of the food had been sourced locally and it was clear that a lot of attention and thought had been given to the provenance and sustainability which was really appreciated. The service by all the staff was excellent - Tom and Grace were attentive but relaxed and friendly and Rich (in the open kitchen) worked steadily all evening to produce a very well balanced, unusual and thoughtful menu. All in all, a wonderful evening and a true culinary seasonal experience. Well done Restaurant Jericho👏👏👏

Jericho was an experience from the moment we arrived at the delightful rural location. The warm friendly reception was a precursor to the seamless informal service we received all evening. The tasting menu was full of innovation, making full use of ingredients grown on the site or locally sourced. All dishes were skilfully crafted and there were many surprises that created delicious and unique blends of flavours. The theatre created as we sat at the Chef's table was augmented by the commentary delivered with every course. The whole meal was finished by a truly inspired selection of wines, each chosen to be enjoyed across two courses.

After an amazing first visit a few months ago we were tempted to try again.......and so glad we did! Every course was still exceptional, all different from our last visit, and the staff so knowledgable. They have taken their ethos of very local and seasonal food even further and achieve outstanding results. The wine pairings were also pushing boundaries and we loved the clever way one glass was matched with two courses - this avoids the sometimes overwhelming need to keep up! Could not recommend more, you will be genuinely delighted!

Every sumptuous dish worthy of a Michelin Star ⭐ and lots of delicious descriptors, but I’m going to let the pictures do the talking … enjoy! FINAL WORD: This is my second visit to this incredible restaurant. The menu changes with the seasons so nothing is repeated. This place WILL get a Michelin Star. When it does, you’ll regret not going while you could still get a table.

This restaurant is so much more than just a meal, it’s without doubt an experience. Twelve courses of locally sourced foods, with wines to match. I am always a little nervous as my food needs to be gluten and dairy free, I didn’t need to be, where I needed something different I was fully catered for. A great night, I will definitely be back!

It had been a miserable, dull Thursday but as soon as we arrived at Jericho my mood changed to one of warmth and delightful anticipation. The unique, rustic setting in the countryside was welcomingly lit as the friendly staff invited us to sit in the Orangery. Great choice of drinks available and staff were very knowledgeable about their wines. We had two starter courses here .. both introduced with such detail and obvious passion. Such delicious entrees to whet our appetite. Then we were shown to our table in the atmospheric dining room, with the kitchen area to view whilst the brilliant chefs create each course. Your own selection of cutlery, variety of plates and dishes added to the experience. We enjoyed another six beautifully presented original dishes, fowl, pork, beef (and of course the yummy bread!) plus a local honey brioche desert. Each course was served blind but explained beforehand which made the tasting menu more exciting. It was a wonderful evening, full of mouth-watering surprises. I can't recommend Jericho and the incredibly enthusiastic staff highly enough. A 5 star experience to be repeated.

Wow! What a fantastic evening, the Jericho team has raised the tasting menu experience to a new level. Great to see the chefs collecting vegetables and herbs from the garden as we had our aperitif, it doesn’t get any fresher! We had the accompanying wine pairing which matched perfectly and introduced us to new styles. The restaurant has been re-created and the atmosphere was professional but relaxed, with plenty of passionate, knowledgable staff on hand. A little way to travel but so worth it!

I really don’t know where to start ! It’s 4 hours of sheer bliss if you are lucky enough to get a table and be able to book the taster menu. Firstly we were served drinks and the first two courses in the cosy seating area with a roaring fire ,whilst watching the sun set over the beautiful courtyard. Each course is explained to you by a chef , so you know just what you are eating and where it’s from ( mainly from the area outside the window ! ) the pride in their voices tells you how committed they are to producing the best food possible. Then into the restaurant. The cutlery even has a WOW factor. You are invited to eat with whatever knife or fork you want to. So it’s really relaxed. The courses are paced at an ideal pace. No rushing , no pressure for you to be done and gone. Each individual plate you receive has such love and care given to it ,the attention to detail on the plate almost makes you feel guilty eating it. But it’s so delicious you really can’t not ! Each dish is just exquisite, there were a few new things I hadn’t tried before. But I can honestly say even if I wasn’t sure of a dish. I ended up enjoying every single course. The service , the decor , the ambience and not lastly the food. Makes this somewhere not just special. But on a totally new level. We will definitely visit again soon.

If this was the Battle of Jericho, the food won, hands down. It would be invidious to choose highlights from a menu which displayed some excellent combinations of taste and texture, coupled with striking presentation. Sweet, sour, bitter, salty plus the now ubiquitous umami were all present and correct. Coupled with a complimentary wine list, this was a wonderful experience. Richard, Grace, Tom, Jake and Sue deserve high praise - well done to you all. Pete H

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Rutland Arms for my mothers birthday. The food tasted great, fresh and so nice to try something a little different. The waitress, (I can't remember her name) but she was so lovely and chatty & an asset to the business. I would recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a meal in nice surroundings with good food that won't break the bank. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I were on coach trip to the Great Central Railway. We stopped in Melton Mowbray for a couple of hours and decided to have lunch. We saw Miss B's sign and thought we would have a meal there. I had the steak pie with stilton. It was an excellent choice, I really enjoyed it. My wife had a cheese and ham toastie which she also enjoyed.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch with friends today. Everything was perfect, fantastic food. We were all very impressed how attentive and kind the staff were. They're were some elderly customers there, after the meal the staff were helping them with their coats, hats and walking sticks, so nice to see in this day and age. We will definitely be back. Amazing.
