Excellent chippy in the town centre. Called in after walking in the valley. I had a lovely large cod only £5.50 and a small chips £2.00 which was actually a large portion. The fish was large with lovely white flesh and a very good thin crispy batter. Well worth the money. Chips were fine but had better elsewhere but still good, I sat on a bench and really enjoyed my lunch. Staff in the shop very friendly especially the guy with the tattoos.

Really nice pub this, location is nice, beer garden/outside seating area is spacious and offers a fair sized play area for children. We came for drinks and food the weather was about 23 degrees + cracking the flags hot. Place was rammed but managed to get a seat. So beware on a hot day this place can fill up very quick, I would definitely book next time to avoid disappointment. I had the steak and ale pie and it was one of the best Iāve had in a country pub setting, Mobberleyās famous steak and ale pie is good, but I would argue this one is better. I honestly couldnāt stop going on about how good all the food was we had. If I had one critique it would be the cheese and onion pie needed to use stronger cheese to give it more character. Aside from that Iāll definitely be back !! 10/10

We had a lovely Mother's Day lunch here yesterday - the pub is beautiful, as is the surrounding area. There was a set menu for Mother's Day with plenty to choose from and 3 courses for £33.00 which we thought was good value for money. The pub was extremely busy and we were waiting a while between our starters and our main, but we didn't mind that. All in all we had a lovely afternoon out but there are a couple of niggles ... 4 of us opted for the prawn cocktail starter - the avocado was missing from all 4 of the prawn cocktails and when we told our waitress, she just said sorry. I am unsure whether they had run out or simply forgotten to put it in there but it would have been nice if she could have looked into it for us. For the main, 3 of us went for the Derbyshire beef and 2 had the chicken. Unfortunately, even though it was cooked perfectly, the beef was a little on the tough side, as was the chicken. The rest of the meal was lovely and we were going to complain but just put it down to the fact it was extremely busy and sometimes, you do get that tough joint of beef. We would definitely return. Our main waitress was lovely and very helpful. Thank you for a great afternoon out.

I went to this shop with my partner as he wanted a breakfast roll. I had no idea what to have but with the help of the fantastic lady serving I had the bestciabatta sandwich I've ever had. The bread was perfect, packed with filling. Wr also bought a slice of ginger & toffee cake. The flavours were amazing. If you have the opportunity to use this deli on your travels, you won't be disappointed. Its a small deli filled with everything from chai seeds to sausage rolls.

We visited the pub as a party of 3 and 2 dogs early evening on Sunday the 25th May.We were given a warm welcome by the young lady who was front of house and she went the extra mile along with the chef in meeting our dietary needs both vegetarian and gluten free as I have Coeliac condition. The chef prepared a nut roast which was off menu and also a gluten free batter so I could have fish and chips. Our other friend had a mixed Sunday roast. The food was delicious and even with a shared bottle of wine was affordable. What a lovely dining experience. We will definitely visit again and many thanks.

Amazing staff who did not flinch when 18 of us turned up for breakfast. Natalie, Oomar and Rukiya all went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. All ordered different breakfasts and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Kids enjoyed the village feel and the stream on the street. Would defo go again
