The Bridge Bakehouse in High Peak

10/10 for the brownie deliveries! I did a large bulk order and they were delivered on time, well packaged and most importantly absolutely delicious! Great communication from the girls as well. Thank you so much, highly recommended!!

Stumbled across this lovely cafe when we were passing through. We were spoilt for choice by how many amazing cakes and pastries were on display! They also had a larger menu for other food and drinks. There is a seating area outside, but we sat in the car as it was a bit too cold. Would highly recommend. Just looked on their website and they deliver all over the country too!

Such a great place. The food is gorgeous, the cakes are amazing! Prices are reasonable and the staff are just so lovely and friendly. I love coming to the bakehouse , I'm always welcomed by a friendly smile and nothing is too much for them . The staff always try to accommodate for my dietary requirements which I'm so grateful for. Just a lovely local cafe with a great atmosphere! The carrot cake is a must!

My son has an allergy to eggs and nut and the staff recommended we did not eat there. We ordered for others in the party but a sad experience, unfortunately.

Getting lunch or a snack at The Bakehouse is the highlight of my day. Mega sandwiches, smashing cakes and lovely staff! What more could you ask for?

I have been here a few times and I really don't rate it. The service is never very good. Often you wait a while to be served when there are no other customers - the staff seem to like to talk to each other a lot. The cakes are average, definitely not worth the price. There are other places nearby that make much better cakes. It's such a shame as it could be so lovely, but the service is very off putting for me personally.

Popped in here by chance at lunch time as wanted a sandwich. We wasn’t disappointed. The sandwiches were yummy and the expresso Frappuccino was divine - best one I’d ever had. The staff were friendly and efficient. Faultless.

Visited this place while staying in Whaley Bridge and what a lovely place with good food and great staff. They were very friendly and welcoming. We had cheese and onion pasties, which were nice and a custard tart and a Bakewell slice, which were really yummy 😋 We called on our way home and took some brownies home for my son, which again were lovely. Nice little area to sit outside too. Would definitely recommend and they told us we could order online for home delivery which is definitely worth considering 😊👍🏼

Popped in for breakfast on way through town, not very welcoming, got our order wrong, although my bacon sandwich was nice and served on plate to takeaway was a great idea, also hot choc was good, shop very cramped and don’t think anything is actually cooked onsite, only seating was outside not good on cold wet day not much cover

We stopped off here for a breakfast and brew, it was lovely, it was raining but they had a large canopy outside with heaters on, we had the dog with us too. Perfect spot will come again.

AVOID IF YOU HAVE COELIAC DISEASE. they use to serve GF cake and now have changed there status to low gluten. This labelling is dangerous to people with coeliac disease, it is either gluten free or not! please change your labelling to keep people safe. Really disappointed that they no longer offer gluten free options

Such gooey, gloopy, sugary concoctions that are so bad, yet taste soooo good! Cake heaven, associated with hot, hot chocolate!!

Waited 30 mins for a stone cold pre cooked bacon sandwich and a soup nuked from frozen!. That cost nearly a tenner. The only positive was the swift refund! Awful!!!

Fabulous coffee and the nicest iced bakewell tart I have ever had!! - and I am somewhat of a connesieur of sweet treats! Considering I went it at 3.45 on a Sunday there was still a fantastic range of cakes available, such a huge choice was hard to decide! Their menu in general is absolutely fantastic and extensive. Outstanding place!

Absolutely amazing scones, the best I've ever had!! The selection of sandwiches is superb, everything I've tried was very delicious! I even had some treats for my family.

Lovely little bakery, very much enjoyed my kinder "Bruno" brownie. Staff accidently gave us the wrong order with 7 cakes! Myself and girlfriend returned them back in which they gave us a free cake each. Lovely staff and atmosphere!

I can not rate the Bridge Bakehouse more highly. Their customer service is second to none and they went the extra mile to make a sad day a little brighter for my treasured mum. Super friendly, accommodating and obviously delicious cakes too boot. You cannot go wrong with them.

Renowned for its amazing selection of cakes, in the High Peak and Dale's...I predict it may need to move to a larger premises and seating area outside limited.Well worth a visit even if you are taking away.

My mother has purchased brownies etc from here for a while. Very large and very tasty (half is enough to satisfy me). Bridge house came to my attention when the ‘Cheesus Christ!’ letter appeared in the news. Was meaning to go for a while to sample this sandwich as the description sounded very appealing. Typically, expectations are never as good as reality however the Cheesus Christ! was just as good as I’d imagined it to be. The coffee was also great too (not too heavy). I’m not a fussy eat, but when looking at a typical menu only about 30-40% of the meals stand out. This wasn’t the case with bridge house. When looking at all the other sandwich options, at least 90% of the butties stood out! Will be returning here to sample the other sandwiches very soon. I just hope they stay in Whaley Bridge and do not set up a shop in my home town Buxton - I wish to keep a slim physique and fear this may be difficult to maintain if they expand closer! Very tasty, would recommend!

My friend Tracy and I had a marvellous milk shake at Poynton last week. We thought it couldn't be beaten, UNTIL we visited The Bridge Bakehouse. Wow!! the most amazing milk shakes ever. I had mint choc chip and there was so much chocolate in it I had to spoon it out at the end. Also, their menu is hugely entertaining, check it out and you'll see what I mean.

Amazing cakes on offer. Hot tea and coffee available and plenty of hot food choices. Must visit.

The best in the area - don’t often leave reviews but popped in here to grab a coffee, breakfast and a cake and everything was awesome Obviously using good quality stuff the yolks on the eggs were golden and the bacon/sausage lovely too! Cakes are delicious I ended up buying two as they were that good Great work to all involved credit to the area :)

First time visiting as I was hiking in the local area, loads of sweet and savory options available as well as gluten free and vegan choices! Outside seating was available and the place was dog friendly with a water bowl outside! Ordered an americano and coconut latte both were as expected! Would definitely visit again to try more savory treats! Good job guys and girls 🌟

Ordered 3 milkshakes yesterday after 20 mins we went to get our money back as we hadnt had them, was apologised to but they were only ok certainly not worth the wait won't t go back. One adult and teenagers who dont know what they're doing

What a gem of a place! Must visit if you are around the area. We had a pie and a soup and we had to come back for a pasty as they were too good! They have lots of cakes and we tried the vegan brownie which is amazing. Friendly staff. Only but was the ciabatta bread that came with the soup which was not toasted (personal preference, I like crunchy bread)

Stumbled across this todayhavubg walked from the Bugsworth Basin. Really cute patisserie, great range of cakes, pastries and preserves amongst other things. The coffee was nice and the alfresco seating area had a really good atmosphere. Will be back for sausage rolls 😋

Always nice breakfasts. Struggled with smashed Avocado on toast presentation - both slices were boxed Avocado side up. This made the top slice messy to eat as a takeaway 😋

Delicious sandwiches. Huge range of baked goods, and sandwiches/toasties/pasties. I’ve never seen bigger! Got a sandwich to takeaway on the way to a walk in the peaks. Highly recommend! Lots of seats outside undercover but none inside.

It was a nice morning so we sat outside with a lovely coffee and a homemade cake.

Called in today for a bacon and egg roll.lovely girl on counter took my order.short wile later I was informed that there was no bacon. Very apologetic.i said I'll have mushrooms instead. Great staff lovely food.i go to that part twice a week .for work collection. Will definitely be going there again.staff was lovely fresh produce. Nice to see..well done guys.

Extremely poor choice of sandwiches here if you're a vegetarian, one in fact. Cakes always look delicious here but are a little disappointing. Visited a couple of times, the shop is tiny and has a very limited outside seating area which gets crowded with people waiting for their orders.

Fabulous little cafe. Does take outs with small seating area. Needs to expand! Exotic hot and cold sandwiches and fabulous generous sized array of tray bakes. Nice drink menu. Drinks were piping hot. Excellent.

Overpriced. Had bacon, brie and cranberry soft toasted roll. They didn't tell the bacon would be smoked and although I asked for crispy bacon it wasn't.

Delicious food with plenty of options. Lovely and hot and very tasty. Cakes are huge and extremely delicious, I felt particularly nostalgic over the cornflake tart. Will definitely be coming back here often, especially as it is so reasonably priced!
