Top hot chocolate, which was just what I needed on a cold, wet and windy day out in the peaks!

Lovely cakes, good coffee, and a nice vibe.

Going into the bakehouse is like coming home. A warm welcoming and friendly greeting everytime no matter if it's your first time visiting or you're 1000th time visiting! Nothing is too much trouble always on hand to offer recommendations and cater to all needs. Keep doing what you're doing guys it's simply amazing 👏

In the area a lot for work. Pop in for a sandwich and a drink every time. The sandwiches are wild! Absolutely delicious and beyond generous with the fillings. And the sweet treats on offer, wow. Wonderful little bakery.

My partner and I were over from Australia recently and stayed with our family in Whaley. We visited the Bakehouse several times and had an amazing experience every time. The food quality and variety was excellent, and we both received excellent customer service. The lovely ladies behind the counter gave us several travel recommendations, often asking us on our next visit how our day trips had been. I have also been to the Bakehouse on previous trips back home, and have always had consistent 5 star service, food and drinks. Keep up the great work ladies - we can’t wait to come back for another visit!!

Presentation poor and extremely overdone bacon! Not what you expect for. £5.50 sandwich. I have been going for years and presentation and quality have declined. Atmosphere frosty. Service got a 4 as the lady who took the order was very polite and it was ready in the time they advised.

The bakehouse has been one of my favourite go to places for YEARS now! I have tried pretty much every sandwich (hot and cold) on the menu, and every cake! And everything has always been 10/10! Especially the service! Thank you!

One of our favourite places for sandwiches and cake! A lovely, large selection of hot and cold sandwiches as well as the all day breakfast sandwich menu which is a huge plus! I love the names of their delicacies and their cakes are amazing. The staff are always friendly and the bonus is that it's wheelchair accessible! The only downside is writing this review makes me want of their cakes! 😃

We visit regularly from work and either have breakfast or lunch, we also use them for catering at our work, the food is always exceptional and the order is always correct, food is very tasty and the brownies are incredible 💜

been here so many times over the years and I have never been disappointed. The staff are lovely, great range of products and I always have to get a toasted sandwich and a cake of some sort and I honestly am yet to taste a better brownie and I love a good brownie. The kinder bueno and Oreo are absolutely to die for

Absolutely stunning food, the sandwiches are spot on and the cakes are incredible, also huge! Those brownies take some finishing in one go!! The staff are all always so welcoming and friendly even when the shop is busy and they are rushed off their feet! you can tell they are trying their best to give everyone a fantastic customer service always.

Absolutely love The Bridge Bakehouse. I live in Manchester now and my first experience was a brownie box sent in the post during covid by my sister, a note saying "Who said you can't post cake." Since then the bakehouse is a regular on our list to visit on our journey to Buxton. Beautifully made cakes and brownies (huge slices btw) also the sandwiches and paninis are really really nice! I recommend it to anybody passing and the staff are lovely too! Support local!

My favourite place to go, rain or shine, to enjoy the most delicious sausage on granary bread followed by what can only be described as a slab of flapjack. I’m not often defeated by cake but frequently smuggle half home in my bag and pretend I was able to finish the lot. So many vegan options to cater to my milk allergy that I haven’t even bothered to ask what else is safe! They have alternative milks available and vegan spread too. The atmosphere is always great and there’s a beautiful sense of camaraderie amongst customers when the rain is coming in sideways which I’m sure translates to other adverse weather. I probably ought to test the cake out in the snow….

I bought a vegan brownie at Chatsworth Market and it was by far the best brownie I’d ever had. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and decided I wanted this brownie for my desert on Christmas Day so I ordered 6 cakes for delivery. They were well packaged, delivered on time and kept fresh for Christmas Day. The other vegan cake I ordered (a flapjack) was insane. Having a dairy allergy I have been limited in nice cakes, but this was a gem of a find and the cakes were HUGE! It’s now my number 1 go to for cake deliveries and I’ve told so many friends about the Bridge Bakery!

Hands down the best local bakehouse in the area. Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The best coffee and cakes, and they make THE BEST ham salad sandwich.

The girls at the bakehouse are so friendly and just fab! From a bunch of local accountants who cannot survive most days without a bakehouse coffee... we love you! They cater really well for vegans... even down to vegan hot chocolate! And the free baileys shot in your coffees at Christmas was a really kind thought! If you are visiting Whaley this place does not disappoint!

We are so lucky to have this lovely shop in our town. Everything I've had from here has been amazing, my favourite being the gooey chocolatey brownies washed down by a flat white, and my son's favourite being the delicious gingerbread biscuits. We have bought boxes of cakes as gifts for friends both in person and online, which have always gone down a treat. The staff are always super friendly too. Top marks all round! :-)

Blummin love the place The bakehouse team are a dream, never a dull moment in there. I regularly eat & drink from the bakehouse, you must try the smoked cheese & sausage toasted sandwich & the chai lattes are the best around. Brownies & cheesecakes are amazing, good price for the size of them. 100% recommend

Lovely food and refreshments. However service is poor. As a customer I was not acknowledged with "hello" or "how can I help you", just looked at. After placing order the staff were slow but found time to talk amongst themselves. No thank you when taking order and leaving. It is a shame and some basic training and manners would make this shop 4-5 star. 😞

Food is lovely when the place is actually serving. The amount of times I have been excited to go here on the weekend, I get to the place and they tell me they’re not serving food is shocking. It hasn’t just been the one occasion, it has happened multiple times. I love the food but why do you never serve it? You’ve let me down to many times :(

Been here two times. Bad experience both times. First time I had an Eclair. Pretty easy to make huhh? Apparently no. At this place the filling is VERY HEAVY butter cream and top is soaked into the cheapest tasting chocolate sauce I've ever eaten. Second time We had Lemon Meringue the cream is fine but the base is cannot be penetrated with a Carbon Chisel it was so hard. Kinder bueno chees cake is lack of Kinder bueno. No tase of chocolate at all however it tastes like plain cheescake. What a horrible experience both of the times. 2 stars as the coffee is okay.

Stumbled across this lovely cafe when we were passing through. We were spoilt for choice by how many amazing cakes and pastries were on display! They also had a larger menu for other food and drinks. There is a seating area outside, but we sat in the car as it was a bit too cold. Would highly recommend. Just looked on their website and they deliver all over the country too!

I love coming to the bakehouse , I'm always welcomed by a friendly smile and nothing is too much for them . The staff always try to accommodate for my dietary requirements which I'm so grateful for. Just a lovely local cafe with a great atmosphere! The carrot cake is a must!

My son has an allergy to eggs and nut and the staff recommended we did not eat there. We ordered for others in the party but a sad experience, unfortunately.

I have been here a few times and I really don't rate it. The service is never very good. Often you wait a while to be served when there are no other customers - the staff seem to like to talk to each other a lot. The cakes are average, definitely not worth the price. There are other places nearby that make much better cakes. It's such a shame as it could be so lovely, but the service is very off putting for me personally.

Popped in here by chance at lunch time as wanted a sandwich. We wasn’t disappointed. The sandwiches were yummy and the expresso Frappuccino was divine - best one I’d ever had. The staff were friendly and efficient. Faultless.

Visited this place while staying in Whaley Bridge and what a lovely place with good food and great staff. They were very friendly and welcoming. We had cheese and onion pasties, which were nice and a custard tart and a Bakewell slice, which were really yummy 😋 We called on our way home and took some brownies home for my son, which again were lovely. Nice little area to sit outside too. Would definitely recommend and they told us we could order online for home delivery which is definitely worth considering 😊👍🏼

Popped in for breakfast on way through town, not very welcoming, got our order wrong, although my bacon sandwich was nice and served on plate to takeaway was a great idea, also hot choc was good, shop very cramped and don’t think anything is actually cooked onsite, only seating was outside not good on cold wet day not much cover

We stopped off here for a breakfast and brew, it was lovely, it was raining but they had a large canopy outside with heaters on, we had the dog with us too. Perfect spot will come again.

AVOID IF YOU HAVE COELIAC DISEASE. they use to serve GF cake and now have changed there status to low gluten. This labelling is dangerous to people with coeliac disease, it is either gluten free or not! please change your labelling to keep people safe. Really disappointed that they no longer offer gluten free options

Waited 30 mins for a stone cold pre cooked bacon sandwich and a soup nuked from frozen!. That cost nearly a tenner. The only positive was the swift refund! Awful!!!

Fabulous coffee and the nicest iced bakewell tart I have ever had!! - and I am somewhat of a connesieur of sweet treats! Considering I went it at 3.45 on a Sunday there was still a fantastic range of cakes available, such a huge choice was hard to decide! Their menu in general is absolutely fantastic and extensive. Outstanding place!

In order nice location friendly staff nice latte excellent Pasty.Pity Pasty was too expensive as I would have bought a few for the freezer.
