Amazing food! One of the best cooked stakes I've ever had. Great service aswell

Staff were friendly and efficient (especially the lady taking our food order, as she was very happy-go-lucky!). The food was hot, tasty and good value for money.

We visited for the rum experience and it was good. 5 different rums, with good food in- between spread over a couple of hours - What's not to like! We even had a bonus Old Fashioned 😍 We will definitely be back for food . . . . .

3 of us had a fantastic meal here last night! The atmosphere was great the whole night, nice and busy! We ordered quite a lot from the smokehouse specials section and it was all delicious, really tasty food! The staff were great the whole time too! Can’t wait to come back here and try more of the menu!

Very disappointing. This place is closed 3 days per week so you’d think they could get the beer lines cleaned in time for reopening but no we were served vinegar and they couldn’t sort it out so had to have a different drink. Service was appallingly slow, 2 hrs for a main and desert each, 4 of us, and then they get one of the mains order wrong and it had taken so long we couldn’t face waiting for it to be changed. Tables far too small for 4 people and too close together making it claustrophobic. We did get a massive £4 off the bill tho for the inconvenience, wow. We won’t need to bother with this pace again. Plenty of much better options locally.

Fantastic food grest selection of drinks and agreat atmosphere

First visit to Cask and Kitchen in the new venue. Still the same relaxed atmosphere, with attentive staff with the food quality still as spot on as it always was.

Went here after the football and had a family meal out to celebrate a birthday (and an England win). The fillet steak was one of the best I've had. The fries were lovely as was the side of fried things (mushrooms, jalapeños, onion rings). My partner had a pasta dish off the specials which she enjoyed immensely. My daughter had the steak bites which were lovely and my other fussy daughter had nuggets which her first words were "good nuggets" high praise indeed.

Decided to visit on a Sunday evening for dinner with my family. The food was lovely and served promptly. The drinks were great and the staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely experience, will definitely visit again.

Both the quality and the food were excellent. It was very busy but that did not affect the service or presentation of the food. A really enjoyable evening with a superb choice of drinks available.

We have eaten here before in the restaurant but never tried home delivery, so just tried a home delivery for the first time - it was brilliant, delivered for free on time. Good sized potions, sensible price, and great quality. We had NYC steakhouse burger, and poulet a la ail gourmet fries - both were top class ingredients, cooked perfectly and with no waste. Will definately be using this place regularly. Looking forward to what's on the ever changing menu next week.

A real real ale gem modern decor great tunes friendly and helpful staff. A nice welcome to a weary beer starved solo female traveller. 7 taps out of 10! Beautifully presented ales. Will be back!

Visited Cask and Kitchen last night with my husband, my friend and her husband for an evening meal. The menu is great however being vegetarian there was limited selection for myself. This was definitely not a problem though because the staff were very accommodating and assured me they could make me a vegetarian meal and asked me what kind of foods/textures I liked and any spices to be added etc. All our meals were 5/5 including mine, the service was excellent with nothing being too much trouble and the atmosphere was perfect. We would all definitely return and highly recommend.

Went today for Sunday lunch, there were 5 of us, I have dietary requirements and Kit made me a special meal, which was lovely! My husband was ecstatic at the steak special (3 different steaks, perfect for a carnivore) I highly recommend this place and will definitely go again

We have eaten here 4 or 5 times and our son chose it for a birthday meal. The staff are always accommodating, friendly and helpful. They are happy to tailor the food to your tastes and on this visit they recreated a cocktail that I had had previously even though they were not serving cocktails that evening. Specials change weekly. Our "burgers" although actually steak rather than mince were absolutely delicious. The only downside is that it is small so it can very quickly fill up and booking is advisable.

What an experience! We ordered the chefs board which is where they surprise you so we didn't know what we were going to have, the chef came out and spoke to us and asked what type's of food we liked and this is what we got for £35 between the 2 of us, it was amazing, would 100% recommend.

Superb service and top notch food.

We were vistiting Glossop for the first time attending a music festival, over the weekend. Enjoyed a quality craft IPA with a very generous amount of food. The staff were polite and friendly and you couldn't ask for better service. The food was excellent and when in Glossop we will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely family lunch here - great selection of sharing plates, and the burgers are DELICIOUS (interesting toppings - don't knock 'em 'til you've tried 'em!) The roasts are legendary - looking forward to coming back to try one.

Booked a table for the family for Easter Sunday and we were all impressed. Between us all we had the Easter burger, roast dinner and steak and had no complaints.. we even got extra fries! Compact and bijou bar in the centre of Glossop, handy for the bus or train or the local taxi rank, which serves good bar food and guest beers at very reasonable prices. Decor is stripped down scandi with handy bag hooks scattered around and the seating is bar stools at high and low tables. The unit is at street level so wheelchair access is possible but I struggle to imagine a wheelchair in that space. Along the window is a high table and high stools allowing quaffers a view over Norfolk square which is great for people watching. The good stuff: alcohol is reasonably priced and guest ales are curated from local breweries. Last time I was there I sampled a "Ferris Muler" which was delicious. Food is mostly burger, steak bites, fries but there's an eclectic mix and it changes regularly so it's worth checking the website for what's on, and what days they are open. Three people, multiple drinks and food was around £60 which is a bargain in my book. Recommended.

Great food, Great drink, Great staff. Need I say more? Well worth visiting.

This is a small bar and restaurant, with a warm and comforting atmosphere. Not so small that you can't have a private conversation, but small enough that the two welcoming guys serving and cooking are able to be efficient and attentive to everyone. The small size means they also have the flexibility to try new things every week. We attended the carnivore night and had 4 unusual meats, each prepared differently to enhance their unique qualities. Delicious, and fantastic value also, we'll be returning soon.

We came for a Brisket and Bourbon night last night, rescheduled from before lockdown. Every bit of food they served was brilliant and the Bourbon tasting was great too - the whole experience made all the more enjoyable by the staff who were super friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

As always the food and atmosphere was amazing!!! We had sharing baskets between us and everything was great. We had pork belly, loaded fries, cheese platter and steak tips. Food was of excellent quality, cooked to order and we loved every bit!

I was so excited to try this. During lockdown everyone had been ordering platters & the reviews had been fabulous. We ordered the hotdogs, pork belly burgers & loaded fries for sharing. £30 and honestly inedible! I could have cried. It was my birthday & I couldn’t eat any of it. The pork wasn’t rendered down & just pure fat. The hotdogs, stale bread. The beef hotdogs ( 3 different flavour toppings) Terrible quality & tiny. The loaded fries were like cold McDonalds fries covered in a tiny amount of cheese & chillis. It’s a good job I couldn’t eat any as there wouldn’t have been enough for two. Seriously the worst food I’ve eaten in 14 years of living in Glossop. Total disappointment.

Visited early doors on a Saturday evening and ordered from their staples menu . We selected loaded nachos steak tips and chicken wings . On their own £5.50 each...order three and you pay £15 . A large chain up the road does a similiar thing with small plates but theirs are not a patch on these ! Small ale type bar with a good atmosphere...the beer is reasonably priced as well ! Saw adverts for a number of themed nights during the week . They deserve to succeed in a very crowded Glossop market ! Will definitely return...

Small stylish setting but not many seats so is a gamble if you want to sit down for food. It is worth it though as the food here is delicious, especially the hot wings! You can get 3 dishes for £15 and portions are decent, so it is a bargain. The only thing not making it a 5 star is that there's not much beer choice on draught

We’ve been here a few times since Kit opened this off beat watering hole. This time we arrived mob handed with kids and grandkids in tow. While it’s not the biggest venue there was enough room for the grown ups to sit and the kids...

Visited here with friends on Saturday for drinks! The range of Beers and wines is not vast and only a choice of 2 gins too, but this does not stop the place been very popular. There was lots of food coming out of the kitchen...

Great little find. Cask beers which were great, cocktails and spirits menu both looked but unfortunately didn't have chance to sample those. The food also looked amazing but we had already eaten. Will definitely go back to try.

Stopped by here a few times for drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere and the drinks of course. Sampled the pulled pork and chorizo nachos at the weekend and they were very good!

Let me say firstly, that I am sorry to give a review that may prove disappointing. My visit was on a wet Winter Sunday afternoon, I only tried one of the house-brewed beers, none of the food. While the beer was fine, and the staff friendly and attentive, I feel the decor and furniture of the place lets it down. The stools, and high chairs for wall benches, make it feel that customers are not meant to stay too long. Had the furnishings been more comfortable and warming it might make people stay longer to enjoy. It has the air of a cafe rather than a bar. I will visit again in warmer climes.

Absolute gem in the heart of Glossop. Great local beers and a selection of spirits. The real beauty is the food. It is outstanding! 100% recommend bobbing in for a beer and a sunday roast muffin.
