It will be my first time attending the restaurant with my parents and in the countryside. I love my local food 😋.

Had the most exquisitely perfectly cooked piece of pork I've ever had in my life last night! The special was pork loin with roast pots, veg and a delicious sauce, my 2 friends had the surf and turf with chips, and we all had the fantastic pork terrine starter! I forgot to take a pic of my delicious creme brulée desert, with strawberries and blueberries, even better than any I had in my 4 years living in Paris! How lucky we are to have such amazing pub food here in Ockbrook... beat a path to the door of the Royal Oak, a wonderful pub with a wonderful atmosphere, cosy snugs, friendly staff and the Ockbrook Big Band in the summer there is not to be missed...

This place is very hit and miss, tonight was a miss. It was extremely cold, don’t think there was any heating on and the food was ok’ish. Understand new management is taking over shortly, hope it improves.

Great staff and good offers but the food was disappointing. Steak was very small and totally overcooked. Nobody came to ask how the food was so made it hard to get the issues rectified. Won't be rushing back.

Avoid ! As previously stated had ups & downs over the years and it’s rock bottom now ! Inside grubby / dirty and outside area very very neglected too-don’t go !

Beautiful fish and chips lunch cooked by carrie would definitely eat there again. Nice relaxed atmosphere and quickly brought out.

Food was of a very good standard and really tasty- I had the roast beef and the vegetables were lovely and cooked to perfection- thank you

Had a wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday. Delicious food and huge pot of tea. They went above and beyond to make it a special occasion.

I have visited this venue twice in May & July.Lovely spacious dining hall but can be noisy if very busy as it's high ceilings. Super fresh food & Cakes etc . Friendly staff , reasonable price Mushroom risotto (watch out hard stalks) Lovely views, parking free. A lovely spot.

visited today Tuesday 7th May2024 and not been here for a very long time. Was very quiet so getting a table was easy. Drinks were good, staff friendly, clean toilets

We bought a Groupon offer based on the picture on the advert on Groupon. All we got was 3 tiny finger sandwiches with minimal filling. A cheese straw which was half the size shown in the picture. No pork pie. No sausage rolls etc. A packet of crisps shared between us. Scones were nice but our cakes were cherry slice which was topped with a very runny icing & a tiny child size fairy cake topped with hundreds & thousands. Don't let the pictures fool you!!!

Got brought out what looked like our dinners and started to eat them, then was told one of them was actually for someone else 😱
