I have visited this venue twice in May & July.Lovely spacious dining hall but can be noisy if very busy as it's high ceilings. Super fresh food & Cakes etc . Friendly staff , reasonable price Mushroom risotto (watch out hard stalks) Lovely views, parking free. A lovely spot.

I visited today with six friends and our babies. Lots of parking. Warm welcome but the staff looked a little flustered at the amount of us with our pushchairs and wasn’t sure where she could sit us (we had rang ahead to warn them we’d need a lot of space but wasn’t able to book). Luckily we found the perfect spot outside on the picnic benches. The staff member was so accommodating from there on out, taking our orders and on separate bills so we didn’t have to take the pushchairs back inside. Delicious coffee and cake. Will definitely come again!

Well well well, the windmill farm what can I say? The views were terrific stretching across the Great British countryside in the heart of Derbyshire! Plenty of bird watching went off and not the type with wings if you know what I mean 😉 Unfortunately the drizzle forced us inside of the establishment where it was as warm the gobi desert! I was half expecting Genghis Kahn to come out and serve me my breakfast! The wait for the food was a stretch unfortunately and not of the quality of the Filling station at belper, however the waitresses were very friendly! The excessive amount of toast we were given had its pros and cons, my colleague ended up taking half a bag of hovis home with him! All in all if you want a breakfast with tremendous views then The Windmill Farm is for you!

Lovely large cafe by the historic windmill. Good views all around. Plenty of seating inside and out. It's necessary to queue up for food, which is slightly expensive but still worth it. Good for a special trip out.

We bought a Groupon offer based on the picture on the advert on Groupon. All we got was 3 tiny finger sandwiches with minimal filling. A cheese straw which was half the size shown in the picture. No pork pie. No sausage rolls etc. A packet of crisps shared between us. Scones were nice but our cakes were cherry slice which was topped with a very runny icing & a tiny child size fairy cake topped with hundreds & thousands. Don't let the pictures fool you!!!

Decided to have breakfast here this morning, it was quaint and picturesque... so thought would be lovely, pot of tea ordered by my husband and 2 sausage and egg cobs, ... when they came we were terribly dissatisfied, one sausage that was too small for the bread and the egg it was more like having a fried egg sandwich, the egg was an extra 75p which is OK I guess but £4.35 for one sausage 1 egg in a breadcake did not feel like good value for money. Can get a dozen sausage for less than that. Queried the waitress and she just said that's how we do it 🤨 not sorry about your disappointment or anything, seamed a little rude a response if you ask me. Safe to say we won't be returning.

Great old pub that we visit every year during the summer months, food was ok, and this year seems like standards have slipped, paddock area in the garden looking very tired and in need of a makeover, had 2 pints and only one was decent, would return but hopefully improvements made

Very nice friendly place with welcoming staff but wear your eating clothes as you will need extra room to store the food that you are served.

Great food and service. Plenty of car parking, a little noisy if you want a quiet meal, would definitely go again, booking recommended
